What is Io Rune in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

The 16-Io rune has a special ability that adds +10 to Vitality when inserted into a socket on a weapon, armor, or shield. This means that if you insert an Io rune into a socket on a piece of equipment, you will gain 10 additional points of Vitality, which increases your maximum health points.

In addition to its basic ability, the Io rune can also be used in certain runewords that grant additional bonuses and effects. For example, when used in the "Peace" runeword, which requires the Io rune and a few other specific runes to be inserted into a piece of armor, it grants the ability to cast a level 15 Valkyrie spell when struck, as well as other bonuses to resistances and damage. So while the basic ability of the Io rune is to add +10 to Vitality, its true power comes from its ability to be used in powerful runewords that grant unique and useful effects.

Where Can You Farm D2R Io Rune?

One popular place to farm for 16-Io rune, is the Countess' Tower in the Black Marsh area of Act 1. The Countess is a boss that can drop up to three runes each time she is defeated, and she has a higher chance of dropping lower-level runes, such as the Io rune.

Another good place to farm for Io runes is the Chaos Sanctuary in Act 4. The monsters in this area have a higher chance of dropping higher-level runes. However, this area is also more difficult than the Countess' Tower, so you may need to have a higher level and better equipment to farm here effectively.
