Is Hustle runeword good in Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.6 Season 3? What characters work well with it? And how should you use it in the game in terms of character builds? Let’s get into the specific changes of D2R Hustle on the weapon and armor, as well as tips for using it based on the view of Ginger Gaming Mentor.
Hustle on Weapon
The Hustle weapon has been changed to have higher increased damage from the 150 to 200%, you can have a 15 enhanced item, so it does go up to 215 enhanced damage, they also decreased the level of Burst of Speed on striking from level 9 to level 1, it is still very powerful, but it’s not as powerful as it was before, we’ve lost about a little over half of the increased attack speed given by the Burst of Speed. Then the increased run/walk went from 51 to 23, and the duration is now only 120 seconds, which is still a particularly decent time, especially if you are going to use the weapon. They also added level 1 Fanaticism Aura when equipped, which is a pretty big change. This is another move to try and force players into more active use of the item. The reason for these changes in the Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.6 Patch Notes is that they didn’t want Hustle to only be a pre-buff item.
Fanaticism is something that up until recently has been kind of a rare commodity, if you want to get Fanaticism and you are not a Paladin that has it natively, there are only two ways to get your hands on this aura. The first one is to utilize the Faith bow, which is an expensive D2R runeword, and the second way is to utilize the Beast axe, which can’t be put on mercenaries, meaning that you have to self-wield the Beast weapon to get that buff. Fanaticism at level one isn’t the most amazing, but it still provides you with a buff, 7.3 yards, 25 percent increased damage, 50 increased damage to yourself, 14 increased attack speed, and a 40 percent attack bonus. This is going to be to everybody nearby within that 7.3-yard radius, which basically makes this an extremely cheap and easy way to obtain a Fanaticism Aura for your mercenary.
There are tons of different characters that can utilize the Fanaticism Aura cheaply with the highest cost of it being a co-rune and combined together between the burst of speed and the fanaticism, so we have the 14 increased attack speed from the aura and burst of speed gives us 21 increased, so we're looking at a total of 35 skill based increased attack speed.
Hustle on Armor
The armor was also changed massively. They upped the faster run/walk to 65, changed the increased attack speed from 20 to 40, and also give it plus 6 to Evade. Evade is an ability of Amazon class that allows you to dodge attacks when you are moving or running, basically, as long as your character is in movement, there is a good chance that you will dodge the attack. Dodge is the one you were standing still for melee, Avoid is the one if you are standing still for ranged attacks. With evasion, you can literally dodge anything as long as you are moving, it makes for a very powerful survival ability added to all the other effects. They also gave it plus 10 to all resistances. When you stop moving, the evasion stops working and you’ll lose all the effects, as long as you are moving, the lightning is really not touching you and you can dodge the effects. It could potentially allow for PVP characters to obtain the ability to dodge spells.
You can put this armor on and gain 65 faster run/walk, 40 increased attack speed, 20 faster recovery, plus 10 to dexterity and all resistances, and amazingly plus six evasion. This armor is going to be pretty popular even if it's just to throw it on a mercenary or something like that, because the evasion will also probably work on the mercenary, it kind of shores up a lot of the problems with melee characters is that they generally are extremely weak when they're moving. During the process of your running, you literally ruin your block chance and your defense, so monsters can generally hit you easily while you are in movement, what this armor does is shores up this problem because while you are moving, you will have the evasion ability and you will not have to worry that much about getting beat down. When you are standing still, your D2R shield will block the attacks. Now you have two different ways to protect yourself. By wearing this armor as a melee character you essentially avoid one of the biggest weaknesses of the character.
Overall, they have taken it away from the pre-buff items, you can use it as a weapon for the mercenary and armor on characters, especially wearing this as a melee character.
