Diablo 2 12-Sol Wiki & Tips

What Is the Sol Rune in D2R?

12-Sol is a mid-level rune in the game, ranked at number 12 out of 33 runes in total. The bonus provided by Sol is useful for characters who want to increase their damage output and defense capabilities. The +5 Energy is also helpful for characters who rely on mana to use their skills. In order to obtain Sol runes, players can either find them randomly as drops from monsters or trade with other players in the game. They can also be obtained by combining lower-level runes in the Horadric Cube, a special item used for crafting in the game.

How Do You Get Sol Runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

In Diablo 2 Resurrected, Sol runes can be obtained in several ways:

  • Looting: Sol runes can drop randomly from monsters in the game, especially from those in the Act 5 area.

  • Gambling: Players can gamble for runes by using the Horadric Cube. Simply put three perfect gems and a magic item of the same type into the cube and transmute them. The result may be a new magic item with a chance to have a rune socketed in it.

  • Rune Words: Sol runes can be used in several different Rune Words. You can find a list of Rune Words that use Sol runes by checking the in-game Rune Word recipe list or by searching online.

  • Transmuting: Players can also create a Sol rune by transmuting three Amn runes in the Horadric Cube.

Obtaining Sol runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected requires some luck, as they can be difficult to find. However, using the Horadric Cube or creating Rune Words are two of the more reliable methods for acquiring them.

Where To Farm Sol Rune in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

In Diablo 2 Resurrected, there are several areas where you can farm for Sol runes. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Act 5: The area around the Worldstone Keep and Throne of Destruction is a popular spot for farming runes, including Sol runes. The monsters in this area have a higher chance of dropping higher-level runes, so this is a good place to farm if you have a high-level character.

  • Countess Runs: The Countess in the Tower Cellar Level 5 in Act 1 has a higher chance of dropping low-level runes, including Sol runes. You can farm her by repeatedly killing her and resetting the game until you get the rune you want.

  • Hellforge: The Hellforge in Act 4 can drop Sol runes if you complete it on Hell difficulty. To do this, you will need to defeat Diablo on Hell difficulty and then complete the Hellforge quest in the River of Flame area.

  • Gambling: As mentioned before, gambling with the Horadric Cube is another way to try to obtain Sol runes.

Remember that farming for runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected is heavily dependent on RNG (random number generation), so it may take several runs or attempts before you obtain a Sol rune.

Which Runeword Can Be Made with Sol Runes in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

In Diablo 2 Resurrected, there are two Rune Words that require the Sol rune:

  • Lore Rune Word: Ort + Sol

Effect: +1 to all skills, +10 to energy, lightning resist +30%, damage reduced by 7, +2 to mana after each kill

  • Silence Rune Word: Dol + Eld + Hel + Ist + Tir + Vex

Effect: +2 to all skills, +20% faster hit recovery, +200% enhanced damage, +75 poison damage over 5 seconds, +50% enhanced defense, +10 to energy, +5 to all attributes, prevents monster heal, ignores target's defense, 14% mana stolen per hit, hit blinds target +33, hit causes monster to flee 25%

Lore Rune Word is a good early game Rune Word for casters due to its +1 to all skills and energy bonus, while Silence Rune Word is a high-end Rune Word used mostly for melee characters due to its enhanced damage, faster hit recovery, and other powerful effects.

To create a Rune Word, you need to insert the appropriate runes into an item with the correct number of sockets, and the item will become the Rune Word with its associated properties. Be sure to check the in-game recipe list for more information on how to create Rune Words.

How To Use the Sol Rune for in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

Thul runes can be used by Barbarians in Diablo II: Resurrected to enhance their equipment and increase their combat effectiveness. Here are some ways that Barbarians can use Thul runes:

  • Socket Thul runes into weapons: Barbarians are melee fighters, and Thul runes increase damage and accuracy. Barbarians should socket a Thul rune into a two-handed sword or axe to increase damage and Strength.

  • Socket Thul runes into armor for bonuses. Barbarians can survive combat by socketing a Thul rune into armor that increases defense or damage reduction.

  • Combine Thul runes with other runes in the Horadric Cube to make stronger runes. For instance, combining a Thul rune, Ral rune, and Perfect Amethyst creates an Ort rune, which can be used to create more powerful rune words.

  • Trade Thul runes with other players: You can trade extra Thul runes or other runes with other players to get runes you need for your build. This can help you get stronger runes without farming.
