D4 1.1 Best Class For Season 1 Leveling, Speed Farm, Endgame | Diablo 4 S1 Tier List

7/21/2023 2:16:27 PM

Here we update the Diablo 4 1.1 Tier List for Season 1 Leveling, Midgame Speed Farming, and Endgame Running!

D4 1.1 Tier List - Best Season 1 Class for Early, Mid, End Game

We just got through with our season one patch review earlier today and we're going be ranking the classes for season 1 and which ones you should be picking for what strengths and weaknesses. There have been some heavy Nerfs across the board, generally speaking, all classes are weaker than they were before, specific builds have been targeted but also some builds seem to be potentially inner changing the landscape of the builds coming with the hearts.

With that said, we are going to rate them on their leveling ability, speed farm & leveling, and end-game viability in 3 separate lists, and this is based on how good a class is compared to all the other ones as well as just in whatever role it is.

D4 1.1 Season 1 Best Class Tier List For Leveling

To be honest, this list doesn't really change basically at all, because the main Nerfs came in for the end game or starting to get your build rolling when you get into the mid-game speed farming.

No.1 - Rogue

Rogue doesn't change much, the big Nerf that came in for rogue was the siphoning strikes and although your server ability does go down if you choose to use that in the early game. You aren't creating all that often anyways so cycling strikes was an insane early game. So Rogue basically didn't change at all.

No. 2 - Sorcerer

For leveling, we still put Sorcerer in No.2, the main reason for this is the mobility and damage is still there in the early game, as actually, you're tending to run Arc Lash Chain Lightning. You can run Ice Shards which is still solid but the aspects and the ability to like to ramp up your crit damage doesn't really start happening until World Tier 3 and World Tier 4. So even though sorcerer is probably the most Nerf class on the list overall, for the leveling process it doesn't change all that much.

No. 3 - Necromancer

The Necromancer is a potent damage-dealing class with limited mobility. The Bone Spear Necromancer and Blight Corpse Explosion Necromancer builds are still effective and can be relied upon in the endgame, but for early-game leveling, they are not effective as well as the Rogue builds.

No. 4 - Barbarian

While the Barbarian excels in the endgame, it is not recommended for the early game due to its low damage output. This class is known for its durability but early game prioritizes mobility and damage as more desirable attributes.

No. 5 - Druid

The Druid may struggle in the early game, but with this build, you can level quickly with the class. Focus on maximizing Storm Strike to generate Spirit, apply vulnerability, and gain a 25% Damage Reduction for 3 seconds. Tornado Will is another essential skill to rely on.

D4 1.1 Season 1 Best Class Tier List for Midgame

For the mid-game farming, you're going to see some big differences, so diving into the speed farming list this is like from level 50 onwards to level 70~80 maybe even 90 where you're trying to level up get gear get your build situated, we're considering a lot of the starter builds for this one. These are the builds that are going to be the best for Speed clearing and overall just entrance into the sort of mid-to-end game content.

No. 1 - Druid

Here's the thing with the druid, if you get your build situated and you actually can get your build ready to go and your starter builds ready to go, then you're going to be clearing faster than probably anyone out on the list and have higher survivability than anyone on the list.  Druid didn't really get nerfed all that much, they did get reduced in their Unstoppable ability and some of the damage of course, but they are really strong still.

No. 2 - Barbarian

Barbarian is strong as well, they still have the Whirlwind aspects, and they still have a lot of options for you to instantly get a build-up and running, and just roll through the speed farming. Once again their survivability is significantly higher. But the problem with this class now is that its damage is lower. There's survivability across the board has been lowered so you need a lot of survivability in order for you to work in the mid-to-end game.

No. 3 Rogue

Our instinct is to put Necromancer below Rogue, however, we've tested both of these with the new patch, and Necro's damage is still very high, and Rogue's survivability is a lot lower so you need a lot better gear. So we could see an argument for Necro above Rogue for Speed clearing for 10 levels above. The key is Barrage, Rapid Fire, Flurry, and Twisting Blade, all of those builds got way worse with the Siphoning Strikes nerve. Based on what we've seen from siphoning strikes, the Rogue is a significantly worse mid-to-end game.

No. 4 - Necromancer

Necromancer still really struggling on the survivability aspect especially struggles for Unstoppable options, but their damage is still very high. They did get nerfed and it is not nearly as explosive as it was before but it's still very good. However again you need the damage to clear 10 levels above and unfortunately, the survivability really hinders that portion of speed clearing for the necro.

No. 5 - Sorcerer

Their damage and survivability are way lower, it's like running rogue survivability perhaps even lower than the Rogue, while also having lower damage than the Necro.  Sorcerer got hit way too hard and however anything on this list there could be broken combos coming out with new hearts, maybe Sorcerers are going to be able to compete a little bit higher.

D4 1.1 Season 1 Best Class Tier List For Endgame

When you enter into World tier four you actually get some of those starter builds online not necessarily like clearing with some trash build, with that said let's dive in and talk about the end game.  The end game is going to be the portion of the game when we're grinding out those tier 100s, and again there are so many options to talk about when talking builds.

No. 1 - Druid

Druid didn't get really changed in terms of the amount of damage and survivability that they're really being able to do in and of themselves. Druid specifically was probably the class that got affected the least in their direct changes along with the Barbarian. We would say Druid is already perhaps the strongest tier 100 nightmare clearer as well as just overall end game Nightmare Pusher, slash Uber Lilith is a separate piece of content.

No. 2 - Barbarian

This one's going to be pretty tricky because once again we would like to put Necro or Barbarian up here. Necromancer got a pretty sizable nerve, they're not nearly doing as much damage, but also Barbarian doesn't really do all that great when you're pushing without the bugs for HotA. However, the thing that pushes Barb over the edge into number two is the fact that they have more survivability options than the Necromancer does, and with that we think that the Barbarian takes number two slots.

No. 3 - Necromancer

Necromancer's damage as we said is still very good and still can be used to push to tier 100, but the key is being able to survive is going to be way harder than it was before and we're going to have to see with some of these new Hearts to be able to push with Necro.

No. 4 - Rogue

Rogue hit hard and is not going to sugarcoat at the endgame. One of the best ways to survive on the Rogue was to stack up a bunch of damage direction as per any other class but that got nerfed, and then you're going to use that siphoning strikes as a drain tank, especially with twisting blades, traps, barrage, rapid fire if you're close enough which you tend to be. If you're not then you're probably playing the build wrong, the survivability on Rogue just went way down.

No. 5 - Sorcerer

We really think the sorcerer's end game tier 100 pushes is going to be very tricky. Actually the

best option you have for the sorcerer to go tier 100 is to potentially go Firewall with a lot of the survivability, but that might just be super slow and it might be way too difficult to  kite out your opponents and not get one shot.
