PoE 3.29 Challenges & Complete Tips (To Be Updated)

Below is the complete, finalized list of all 40 challenges for the Curse of the Allflame league. Each challenge includes its difficulty rating, requirements, and detailed completion tips. Remember: you only need 36/40 for the full armour set, so plan your skips wisely.

1. Beginner's Basics (Very Easy, All Required)

Objective: Complete each of the following tasks.

  • Defeat Hillock

  • Defeat Brutus

  • Defeat Merveil

Tips: This is literally just finishing Act 1. Completed within the first hour of gameplay — impossible to miss during normal campaign progression.

2. Deep Dive (Very Easy, League Mechanic, All Required)

Objective: Complete each of the following Curse of the Allflame encounters.

  • Visit The Sovereign

  • Place an Allflame Lantern

  • Chart an Area

Tips: The Sovereign is accessed from the Mud Flats in Act 1, then afterwards through Waypoints or by typing /boat anywhere in game. Charting is initiated by talking to Valerie aboard The Sovereign, which also involves placing Allflame Lanterns as part of the encounter. Completely unmissable if you touch the league mechanic at all.

3. Peddler's Produce I (Very Easy, All Required)

Objective: Complete vendor recipes to receive each of the following items.

  • Armourer's Scrap - vendor a 20% quality Normal armour piece (or multiple pieces totalling 40%)

  • Blacksmith's Whetstone - vendor a 20% quality Normal weapon (or multiples totalling 40%)

  • Glassblower's Bauble - vendor a 20% quality Normal flask (or multiples totalling 40%)

  • Gemcutter's Prism - vendor a 20% quality Gem (or multiples totalling 40%)

Tips: Save quality items throughout Acts 1–2. Skill gems in your offhand slots pick up passive quality, an easy source for the GCP recipe.

4. Act Adversaries I (Very Easy, All Required)

Objective: Defeat the following Act Bosses.

  • Act 1: Merveil, the Twisted

  • Act 2: Vaal Oversoul

  • Act 3: Dominus, Ascendant

  • Act 4: Malachai, The Nightmare

  • Act 5: Kitava, the Insatiable

Tips: Compulsory campaign progression, auto-completed.

5. Possessive Pantheons (Very Easy, All Required)

Objective: Complete each of the following Quests.

  • The Father of War - Defeat Tukohama (Act 6)

  • The Cloven One - Defeat Abberath (Act 6)

  • The Puppet Mistress - Defeat Ryslatha (Act 6)

  • The Master of a Million Faces - Defeat Ralakesh (Act 7)

  • Queen of Despair - Defeat Gruthkul (Act 7)

  • Reflection of Terror - Defeat Yugul (Act 8)

  • Queen of the Sands - Defeat Shakari (Act 9)

  • The Ruler of Highgate - Defeat Garukhan (Act 9)

Tips: Mixture of compulsory boss quests and Pantheon-unlock optional bosses. You'll pick most of these up naturally,  just make sure not to skip the side bosses like Abberath and Ryslatha in Act 6.

6. Underwater Undertaking (Very Easy, All Required)

Objective: Complete each of the following Curse of the Allflame encounters.

  • Chart Areas (4x) - talk to Valerie to run charts (ctrl-click Valerie to open the menu directly)

  • Complete a Voyage - plotted from Valerie after completing charts (first Voyage is 2x2, subsequent ones are 3x3, requiring 4 or 9 charts respectively)

  • Use Dead Man's Sulphur to craft an item - done below deck on The Sovereign

Tips: You are heavily guided through these by the league's tutorial progression, so most players complete this before even seeing a challenge guide.

7. Act Adversaries II (Very Easy, All Required)

Objective: Defeat the following Act Bosses.

  • Act 6: Tsoagoth, The Brine King

  • Act 7: Arakaali, Spinner of Shadows

  • Act 8: Lunaris, Eternal Moon and Solaris, Eternal Sun

  • Act 9: The Depraved Trinity

  • Act 10: Kitava, the Insatiable

Tips: Compulsory campaign progression, auto-completed.

8. Atlas Accomplishment (Very Easy, 100 Required)

Objective: Complete all 100 non-unique maps on the Atlas.

Tips: The Atlas is the endgame anyway; if you're chasing challenge rewards, you'll do this naturally. Use the Atlas Bonus Objective feature to track progress.

9. Ingrained Increases (Very Easy, 3 of 6 Required)

Objective: Complete any three of the following encounters 30x each.

  • Defeat Monsters with Essence (30x)

  • Open Strongboxes (30x)

  • Activate Shrines (30x)

  • Defeat Possessed Monsters (30x) (skip candidate - awkward)

  • Defeat Rogue Exiles (30x)

  • Defeat Rare Beyond Monsters (30x)

Tips: Force these using Atlas passives and cheap scarabs: Essence Scarab (2c), Ambush Scarab (3c), Domination Scarab (2c), Anarchy Scarab (1c), Beyond Scarab (1c). Do NOT allocate Speaker of the Dead if you plan to complete the Possessed Monsters task.

10. Legendary Leagues (Very Easy, 5 of 12 Required)

Objective: Complete any five of the following the specified number of times.

  • Abysses (30x)

  • Expeditions (30x)

  • Harvest Plots (100x)

  • Legion Encounters (30x)

  • Smuggler's Caches (30x)

  • Mirrors of Delirium (30x)

  • Ultimatum Waves (200x)

  • Blights (30x)

  • Rituals (100x)

  • Ore Deposit Encounters (30x)

  • Unstable Breaches or Hives (30x)

  • Mercenaries (30x)

Tips: Smuggler's Caches, Delirium Mirrors, and Legion are the smoothest picks. Luminaries get the Mercenary task for free thanks to their permanent hire. Pair with Atlas Passives to force at least one per map.

11. Trustworthy Teachers (Average, 2 of 4 Required)

Objective: Complete any two of these Master Missions in Tier 16 Maps with at least 80% Item Quantity, 10x each.

  • Niko Missions (10x) - tag all Sulphite nodes; force with Sulphite Scarab (1c)

  • Einhar Missions (10x) - capture all Beasts; force with Bestiary Scarab (1c)

  • Jun Missions (10x) - complete all Syndicate encounters; force with Betrayal Scarab (1c)

  • Alva Missions (10x) - complete all Incursions; force with Incursion Scarab (1c)

Tips: Niko is the easiest pick (Sulphite tags don't add difficulty). Alva second, you can instantly leave incursions if you don't want to actually play them.

12. Nautical Navigation (Very Easy, All Required, League Mechanic)

Objective:

  • Complete Voyages (10x) - 9 charts each after the tutorial

  • Defeat Rare Monsters in Voyages (200x)

  • Use Dead Man's Sulphur to craft equipment (50,000x)

Tips: Voyages are rare-dense, so 200 kills lands naturally within 10 runs. Check border modifiers and voyage item mods for extra rare density. Sulphur crafting adds up quickly if you use semi-deterministic Annuls.

13. Savage Sellswords (Easy, 3 of 4 Required)

Objective: Complete any three Mercenary of Trarthus encounters.

  • Defeat Rare/Unique Monsters in level 68+ areas with an Allied Mercenary (100x)

  • Claim items with Infamous Modifiers (15x)

  • Complete Maps with Mercenary Scarabs/Warrants applied (15x)

  • Defeat Infamous Mercenaries in level 68+ areas (30x)

Tips: Not locked to T16s. Use Trarthan Scarab (1c) and Trarthan Scarab of Infamy (6c) to force mercenaries and infamous variants respectively. All four combo together, making this very efficient.

14. Chromatic Crafting (Very Easy, All Required)

Objective:

  • Use Chromatic Orbs (10x)

  • Have 15 coloured sockets on your equipment (about 60% of your total sockets)

  • Reach 60% quality on a socketed skill gem

Tips: For the 60% quality task, match gem colour to socket colour (+10%), and use items like Crest of Desire, Replica Voideye, or Ashes of the Stars to push over the threshold.

15. Vanquished Villains (Average)

Objective: Socket 4 Voidstones into your Atlas.

  • Complete Eater of Worlds and Searing Exarch (bottom-left)

  • Complete Zana's Questline (top-left)

  • Complete The Shaper and The Elder (Uber Elder counts for both)

  • Complete The Maven using The Maven's Writ (15c)

Tips: Standard endgame progression. All four voidstones are fully buyable as carries. Note: Zana's voidstone must be socketed to count, placement matters.

16. Taxing Tasks (Average, 5 of 11 Required)

Objective: Complete any five at area level 81+ where possible.

  • Abyssal Depths (5x) - force with Abyss Scarab of Descending (2c)

  • Logbooks with 10+ active Remnants (5x)

  • Tier 4 Harvest Seeds (5x) - Crop Rotation node + Harvest Scarab of Cornucopia (46c)

  • Domains of Timeless Conflict with 25+ rewards (3x) - trivial in a 4- or 5-way

  • Blueprints with 4 revealed wings (5x) - buy on trade with Area Level 81 filter

  • Simulacrum Waves (60x) - waves only, doesn't require completion

  • Fully Completed Ultimatums (10x)

  • Blighted / Blight-Ravaged Maps (5x)

  • All Rituals in Maps with Blood-filled Vessels (10x)

  • Claim Rewards from Rare Maps completed by Atlas Runners (30x)

  • Hive Fortresses or Breach Marshals (5x)

Tips: Recommended baseline picks: Abyssal Depths, Harvest Seeds, Blighted Maps, and Breach. For Blight, use Silver + Opalescent Oil ring anoint (chilling towers freeze) and Violet + Indigo Oil (meteor burning ground). Simulacrum and full Ultimatums are build-dependent.

17. Comprehensive Charting (Easy, Buyable, 9 of 14 Required)

Objective: Complete any nine of the following Chart types:
Abyssal Plain, Anchorfield, Brine King's Domain, Clam-infested Shelf, Diving Shoals, Eldritch Depths, Hazardous Depths, Infested Bathyspheres, Lost Ruins, Pelagic Abyss, Sea Pillars, Seafloor Ridges, Sunken Totems, Undersea Groves.

Tips: Names in orange text (Undersea Groves, Abyssal Plain, Seafloor Ridges) are rarer and pricier. Use the regex !undersea groves|abyssal plain|seafloor ridges in your stash to filter out the rare types. Fully buyable via trade, search by chart name.

18. Achieve Ascension (Easy, All Required)

Objective:

  • Complete Normal, Cruel, Merciless, and Eternal Labyrinths (Offering to the Goddess: 2c to buy final trials)

  • Gain a Bloodline Class - defeat any one bloodline boss (Trialmaster, King in the Mists, Oshabi, Catarina, Aul, Olroth, Lycia, Farrul, Simulacrum, It That Was Tul & Esh, or Velka)

Tips: Trialmaster via Ultimatum Scarab of Dueling (6c) is generally the cheapest and easiest bloodline pick. Oshabi via Sacred Blossom (26c) or Lycia via Sanctum are also low-friction options.

19. Devious Divination (Easy, 3 of 4 Required)

Objective: Complete any three:

  • Open Stacked Decks (40x)

  • Hand in Divination Card sets (30x)

  • Complete Red Tier Maps with 1+ Divination Scarab applied (10x)

  • Scry a Map using a Scrying Orb

Tips: Sort poe.ninja by stack size to find cheap high-stack cards. Use the regex 0/[1-2][0-9] on Faustus to find any card with a stack size of 10+. Divination Scarab of The Cloister (14c) explicitly drops Stacked Decks — double-dipping bait.

20. Peddler's Produce II (Very Easy, All Required)

Objective: Complete these vendor recipes the specified number of times.

  • Unique Item (5x) - vendor 3 non-corrupted uniques of the same base for a re-rolled copy

  • Scarab (5x) - vendor 3 scarabs for a random one

  • Tier 16 Map (5x) - vendor 3 T15 maps for a T16

Tips: These are three separate recipes, each completed 5 times. Cheap uniques from the vendor recipe list on PoEWiki (like Lifesprig, Kaom's Sign, etc.) are trivial to source.

21. Challenging Curators (Average, 6 of 8 Required)

Objective: Defeat any six bosses at level 80+.

  • Uber Atziri - Mortal Fragment set always meets the requirement

  • Izaro - requires a Harvest offering (Dedication/Tribute/Gift to the Goddess)

  • Abyssal Lich - from Abyssal Depths in T14+ (note: Delve's Kurgal does NOT count)

  • Omnitect - buy a Chronicle of Atzoatl with Temple Apex open at level 80+

  • Vox Twins - Heist contract, run in Rogue Harbour

  • K'Tash / Ghorr / Beidat - Beyond bosses; use Beyond Scarab of Resurgence (1c)

  • Medved / Vorana / Uhtred - Expedition Logbook bosses (search ~expedition boss on trade)

  • The Black Knight / Admiral Valerius / Sasan (skip candidate - Kingsmarch RNG)

Tips: If you skip Heist, drop Vox Twins. The Kingsmarch trio is heavily RNG-based and the obvious secondary skip.

22. Ethereal Enhancements (Very Easy, 5 of 9 Required)

Objective: Use any five Cursed Ducats below deck on The Sovereign.

  • Brinehook's (2c), Cyaxan's (2c), Katakohi's (4c), Kishara's (3c), Merrick's (3c), Rotmother's (1c), Telesia's (4c), The Genteel's (3c), Tzamoto's (7c)

Tips: All dirt cheap. You can also spend The Changeling's Ducat (1c) to get a random named Ducat back.

23. Remarkable Realms (Average, 15 of 18 Required)

Objective: Complete any 15 Unique Maps.

Notable cheap options: Maelström of Chaos (1c), Acton's Nightmare (1c), Olmec's Sanctum (1c), Death and Taxes (1c), Whakawairua Tuahu (1c), Pillars of Arun (1c), Hall of the Grandmasters (1c), Poorjoy's Asylum (2c), Mao Kun (2c), Oba's Cursed Trove (2c), Hallowed Ground (2c), Caer Blaidd (3c), Vaults of Atziri (7c), The Twilight Temple (8c), The Putrid Cloister (11c), The Coward's Trial (16c), The Vinktar Square (18c), Doryani's Machinarium (1.03 div).

Tips: Skip candidates: Hall of the Grandmasters (needs stacked characters), Doryani's Machinarium (expensive), and one of Whakawairua Tuahu or Mao Kun as dealer's choice.

24. Stacked Scarabs (Average, 750 Required)

Objective: Complete Maps with 750 Scarabs total applied.

Tips: No map tier or quantity requirement, just spam scarabs on every map. If you're already using 4 scarabs per map, this completes in around 190 maps naturally.

25. Corrupted Crystals (Easy, 3 of 4 Required)

Objective: Complete any three:

  • Level Gems to level 20 (10x)

  • Have 20 Corrupted Gems socketed in equipment

  • Corrupt a gem to level 21 or 23% quality

  • Level a Pact Skill Gem to level 20 (skip candidate - new caster gems, expensive)

Tips: Slam Vaal Orbs on level 20 / 20% quality gems for the corruption task; use the Lapidary Lens temple room for better odds. Fill your offhands with cheap corrupted gems while mapping.

26. Cross Contamination (Average, Buyable, 4 of 6 Required)

Objective: Complete any four:

  • Defeat a Mercenary while Delirious (Trarthan Scarab + Delirium Orb)

  • Defeat a Possessed Rogue Exile with an Allied Mercenary (Exiled Will node + Anarchy Scarab)

  • Complete an Originator-Influenced Map affected by an Astrolabe

  • Defeat an Abyssal Consort while affected by a Shrine (Abyss Scarab of the Consort - 34c, or The Gull in Abyssal Depths)

  • Defeat a Breach Marshal empowered by Wildwood Wisps (skip candidate)

  • Defeat a Legion General while affected by a Tempest (skip candidate)

Tips: The Breach Marshal and Legion General tasks are the obvious skips — the rest have no map tier or quantity requirement.

27. Superior Sovereign (Average, 5 Required)

Objective: Fully upgrade The Sovereign by installing all 5 upgrades:

  1. Deadcaller Bellows - unlocked by running Charts (+1 max Allflame Lanterns)

  2. Sulphur Purifier - unlocked by completing a Voyage (+20% Sulphur collected)

  3. Spectral Infuser - kill Captainsbane (essences/strongboxes higher tier)

  4. Alchemical Exchange - run an Infested Bathysphere Chart (+20% Quantity)

  5. Forbidden Scripture - defeat the League Boss via Kishara's Rest Chart → Voyage (min area level 83) (+20% Rarity, Adrenaline on final Lantern)

Tips: Some upgrades may currently be bugged (essence/strongbox rarity is reportedly not working). Priority pickups anyway since they compound your league mechanic returns.

28. Bountiful Bloodlines (Average, Buyable, 7 of 12 Required)

Objective: Defeat any seven bloodline bosses.

  • Trialmaster, King in the Mists, Oshabi, Catarina, Aul, Olroth, Lycia, Farrul, Simulacrum, It That Was Tul & Esh, Velka, Zorath

Tips: Bloodline carries are widely available. Simulacrum (all 15 waves) is by far the hardest, buy that one. Trialmaster, Oshabi, and Lycia are the cheapest self-completes. Zorath requires new Abyssal Lich / Catarina fragments (Zorath's Eyes of Malevolence, Authority, Inevitable, Endless).

29. Astounding Astrolabes (Average, 6 of 10 Required)

Objective: Complete Astrolabed T16 Rare Maps with 5 Scarabs applied — 30x each for six different Astrolabe types.

Templar (79c), Fruiting (87c), Lightless (65c), Grasping (88c), Nameless (48c), Fungal (43c), Chaotic (44c), Deceptive (70c), Timeless (50c), Runic (47c).

Tips: 180 juiced maps total, a common skip candidate. Use Scarab of the Sinistral (5c) + Scarab of the Dextral (4c) to fill two slots with map-scouring effects. Cheapest astrolabes (Fungal, Chaotic, Runic, Nameless) are the most efficient picks if you commit.

30. Modified Maps (Average, 3000 Required)

Objective: Reach a total of 3,000 Explicit Modifiers from completing maps.

Tips: Roughly 375–600 maps depending on rolls. You'll accumulate most of this passively while working through the other endgame challenges.

31. Excruciating Echoes (Average, 2 of 4 Required)

Objective: Complete any two in T16 Rare Maps with 150%+ Item Quantity.

  • Originator Influenced Maps (30x)

  • Courtyard of Wasting (5x) - Memory of Loneliness (3c)

  • Chambers of Impunity (5x) - Memory of Trauma (8c)

  • Theatre of Lies (5x) - Memory of Reverence (16c)

Tips: Two memory chain finales = only 10 juiced maps total, far cheaper than 30 Originator maps. If you don't want to fully juice, run two full chains with only the finales juiced.

32. Fathomless Fears (Average, 9 of 16 Required)

Objective: Complete Voyages with any nine unique Border Modifiers.

Options include: Altars to the Goddess, Captainsbane, Filthscrabble, Gold Lanterns, additional monster packs, additional treasure anchors, additional Pirate's Locker, currency-as-Stacked-Decks, non-consuming charts, gold-conversion, increased explicit magnitudes, guaranteed magic monsters, non-consuming lanterns, sulphur-dropping rares, extra scarabs, and extra currency.

Tips: You must manually read your borders, these cannot be filtered or bought. Reroll by finishing a Voyage or by spending a large amount of Dead Man's Sulphur. Track completed borders in a notepad.

33. Intrigued Interlopers (Average, 2 of 3 Required)

Objective: Complete any two in T16 Rare Maps:

  • Defeat Map Bosses with 4+ Eater Altars affecting them (Eldritch Gaze allocated) — 10x

  • Defeat Map Bosses with 4+ Exarch Altars affecting them (Wrath of the Cosmos allocated) — 10x

  • Complete Maps with 150% Item Quantity while Maven-witnessed (Destructive Play allocated) - 25x

Tips: Target easy map bosses for the altar tasks. Quantity comes from Originator maps or heavy fragmenting. Requires re-speccing Atlas nodes.

34. Potent Possibilities (Average, Currency Dump, 10 of 20 Required)

Objective: Use any ten of the listed currencies.

  • Influenced Exalted Orb, Veiled Exalt/Chaos, Orb of Remembrance/Unravelling/Intention, Eldritch Exalt/Annulment/Chaos, Exceptional Eldritch Ichor/Ember, Tainted Currency (10x), Awakener's Orb, Orb of Dominance, Mirror of Kalandra, Sacred Orb, Fracturing Orb, Hinekora's Lock, Tempering/Tailoring Orb, Reflecting Mist, Runegraft/Tattoo (5x), Enshrouding Crystal (5x), Catalyst (40x), Corrupted Essence (4x), Blight Oil (10x), Sacred Crystallised Lifeforce/Crystallised Rancour.

Tips: Currency dump - 10/20 is generous. Skip the Mirror of Kalandra (344 div). Cheap easy picks: Orb of Intention (1c), Tainted Blacksmith's (1c), Sepia/Amber Oil (Blight), Tempering/Tailoring (1c options), Catalysts, and Enshrouding Crystals. Items without a specified count = 1 use.

35. Succinct Summons (Average, 30 Required)

Objective: Complete 30 Invitations with at least 5 Explicit Modifiers.

Invitation types: Screaming, Incandescent, Elderslayers, The Feared, The Forgotten, The Formed, The Remembered, The Twisted, plus Sirus and Cortex.

Tips: No quantity mod requirement, simply reroll invitations until you get mods you can handle. The Forgotten (cheap Distant Memories, ~3–4c each) is the most economical grinder. The Twisted (Shaper Guardian Map recipe) is also cheap. Skip The Remembered, it's expensive and slow.

36. Atlas Assertions (Hard, 6 of 11 Required)

Objective: Complete any six random Atlas Encounters.

Options: Forgotten Shrine, Gambling District (unique strongboxes), Lake Islet (Reflecting Mist), Overgrown Grove (Harvest + Rancour chance), Planned Heist, River's End, Syndicate Hideout, The Court of Chaos, The Manor Foyer (Cadiro - must accept/skip all offers to count), Uncharted Expedition, Untainted Paradise.

Tips: Requires all Voidstones socketed. Pure RNG spawns while mapping. Formerly known as "Atlas Anomalies" during the reveal. Not directly buyable, must self-encounter.

37. Brinerot's Bloody Bounty (Hard, 3 of 4 Required)

Objective: Defeat Velka, The Tide Witch in any three of the specified ways:

  • Without being hit by Brine Storm Call (pursuing line of storm calls)

  • Without being hit by any Anchors

  • Without being hit by Lightning Whip

  • Without being hit by Crashing Brine (overhead water barrage)

Tips: Requires charting → voyage → league boss chain, very time-consuming per attempt. DPS is king, instant-phase builds may complete all three conditions in a single fight. Skip candidate for slower builds.

38. Horrific Halls (Very Hard, Buyable, 2 of 5 Required)

Objective: Complete any two Nightmare Maps with 150%+ Item Quantity, 5 Scarabs applied, Delirium Orbs applied, and Corrupted.

Options: Abomination, Citadel, Fortress, Sanctuary, Ziggurat.

Tips: The hardest challenge in the league, the definitive skip for anyone without a god-tier build. Fully juiced 100%-delirious corrupted Nightmare Maps demand top 1% builds. Carries are widely available if you want to force completion.

39. Apex Assailants (Hard, Buyable, 5 of 10 Required)

Objective: Defeat any five Uber Pinnacle Bosses at area level 85.

  • Uber Sirus - Awakening Fragment (10c) from Abomination

  • Uber Elder - Decaying Fragment (58c) from Fortress

  • Uber Maven - Reality Fragment (79c) from Abomination

  • Uber Exarch - Blazing Fragment (19c) from Ziggurat

  • Uber Eater - Devouring Fragment (95c) from Ziggurat

  • Uber Venarius - Synthesising Fragment (14c) from Fortress/Citadel

  • Uber Shaper - Cosmic Fragment (81c) from Citadel

  • Incarnation of Dread - Reverent Fragment (84c) from Sanctuary

  • Incarnation of Fear - Traumatic Fragment (10c) from Sanctuary

  • Incarnation of Neglect - Lonely Fragment (13c) from Sanctuary

Tips: Shaper, Cortex, and the Incarnation bosses are the easiest self-completes. All Uber fights have lingering DoT, high DPS = more leeway. Buy carries for anything you can't reliably farm.

40. Gallant Grinding Goals (Average, Grind Heavy, 4 of 6 Required)

Objective: Complete any four:

  • Reach Level 100 - 5-way carries (15–30 div from 98→100), or self-farm with Omen of Amelioration (45c) as death insurance

  • Cleanse Darkshrines in Uber Lab (150x) - 2–3 per lab avg = ~75 labs

  • Defeat Pinnacle Bosses at level 85 (30x) - fastest with a proper bosser

  • Complete T16 Rare Corrupted Maps with 8 Modifiers (50x)

  • Complete Nightmare Maps (40x) - use Sinistral (5c) + Dextral (4c) Scarabs for easy scoured runs

  • Defeat Rare Monsters in area level 83 Voyages (400x) - natural league engagement

Tips: Do NOT bring Omen of Amelioration into invitations or Uber bosses, it triggers on entry even when XP loss isn't possible. Best XP maps: Abyss (all nodes except Depths) + Shrines + stacked Breach with Beyond spawn (using Breach Scarab of Instability × 2, Scarab of Monstrous Lineage, Domination Scarab × 2).

Recommended Skips for 36/40

Since you only need 36 challenges for the full armour set, the four cleanest skip candidates are:

  • #38 Horrific Halls - brutal juiced corrupted delirious Nightmare Maps; not feasible without a god build

  • #39 Apex Assailants - Uber bossing gate; obvious skip if you don't Uber

  • #37 Brinerot's Bloody Bounty - awful conditional grind per Velka attempt due to the chart → voyage chain

  • #29 Astounding Astrolabes or #40 Gallant Grinding Goals - dealer's choice depending on your patience for grind

General Tips & Strategy for PoE 3.29

Don't neglect charts and voyages. The Allflame mechanic's biggest issue is flow — it's easy to auto-place lanterns while mapping and never visit the boat, then get slammed with 9 charts of chores when you finally want to voyage. Regularly cash in charts every few maps.

Buy scarabs in bulk once prices stabilize (about 1–2 weeks post-launch). Stack mechanic-forcing scarabs and Atlas passives to double-dip on challenges and currency simultaneously.

Use trade aggressively. Boss fragments, unique maps, Astrolabes, Logbooks, invitations, and influenced gear are almost always faster to buy than farm.

Public boss rotas via /global 820, /trade 820, and community Discords are the fastest way to clear invitation, Uber, and bloodline challenges.

Use /recheck_achievements in chat whenever a challenge appears stuck - GGG's tracker occasionally desyncs after big events or crashes.

This guide will be updated with confirmed challenges, exact objectives, target numbers, and reward previews as soon as Grinding Gear Games releases the official Curse of the Allflame challenge list. Bookmark this page and check back after the 3.29 launch livestream for the complete finalized guide.
