In the PoE 3.29 Curse of the Allflame league, you will once again have the opportunity to earn new exclusive cosmetic rewards by completing 40 brand-new challenges tied to the league's fresh mechanics, reworked systems, and endgame content. This PoE 3.29 Challenge Guide is your go-to reference for everything you need to know: we'll list all the confirmed rewards, break down every challenge, offer practical completion strategies, and help you plan your path to 36 or even a full 40/40 clear.
PoE 3.29 Challenge Rewards
In every league, Grinding Gear Games releases an exclusive cosmetic armour set, hideout decoration, and challenger trophy tied to challenge completion milestones. The 3.29 Curse of the Allflame league will follow the same structure, with new rewards themed around the league's Oceanic and Allflame crafting aesthetic. Every reward you unlock can also be used in Path of Exile 2!
Oceanic Weapon Effect - 12 Challenges / 2 Ruthless Challenges

Fangtooth Moray Pet - 24 Challenges / 4 Ruthless Challenges

Captain's Wheel Back Attachment - 32 Challenges / 6 Ruthless Challenges

Oceanic Portal Effect - 36 Challenges / 8 Ruthless Challenges

Allflame Challenger Trophy - 19–40 Challenges / 1–8 Ruthless Challenges, with variants unlocked at each tier

Each challenge you complete adds a piece to your league Challenger Trophy hideout decoration, so you can display your progression to guildmates and party members. As always, these cosmetics are purely visual and do not affect your character's power or progression in any way.
PoE 3.29 Challenges & Complete Tips (To Be Updated)
The 40 challenges in Curse of the Allflame will follow the standard difficulty progression from "Very Easy" campaign-completable challenges up through "Hard" endgame boss and grind challenges. Below is a preview of the challenge categories we expect based on the confirmed 3.29 content changes. All challenge names, exact objectives, and target numbers will be updated once the official challenge list is released.
1. Beginner's Basics (Very Easy)
Standard opening challenge involving using early-game currency orbs (Transmutation, Alteration, Augmentation, Alchemy) on any normal item. Completable within the first hour of Act 1.
2. Deep Dive (Very Easy, New Content)
Expect a fresh league-mechanic tutorial challenge tied to the new Curse of the Allflame seafaring content. Likely involves interacting with the league NPC, initiating your first voyage, and completing a basic Allflame encounter.
How To Complete: Engage with the league mechanic at your first opportunity in Act 1. Will be completed naturally in one or two encounters.
3. Peddler's Produce I (Very Easy)
Standard vendor recipe challenge. Save low-level flasks, iron rings, skill gems, and basic amulets to complete recipe combinations by Act 2.
4. Act Adversaries I (Very Easy)
Defeat the Act 1–5 bosses: Merveil, Vaal Oversoul, Dominus, Malachai, and Kitava. Unmissable during campaign completion.
5. Possessive Pantheons
6. Underwater Undertaking
7. Act Adversaries II (Very Easy)
Defeat the Act 6–10 bosses: Brine King, Arakaali, Solaris/Lunaris, The Depraved Trinity, and Kitava (Act 10). Completed through normal campaign progression.

General Tips & Strategy for PoE 3.29
Aim for 36, Not 40: Only 36 challenges are needed for the full armour set. The most commonly skipped challenges are the Astrolabe grind, Uber bosses, T17/Nightmare Nemeses, and the heaviest grind challenges (Level 100, 1,000 T16 maps).
Adapt to 3.29's Mechanic Reworks: With Abyss now auto-spawning cracks, Legion revamped around Enshrouding Crystals, and Breach nerfed, your Scarab and Atlas passive investment should shift accordingly. Legion and Abyss are expected to be top-tier profit generators, so pairing challenge progress with your farming strategy will be more efficient than dedicated challenge runs.
Use Scarabs and Atlas Passives Aggressively: Buy Scarabs in bulk once prices stabilize (usually 1–2 weeks post-launch). Force your preferred mechanics into every map for double-dipping progress on challenges and currency.
Engage With Allflame Content Regularly: Any challenges tied to the league mechanic will progress fastest if you interact with Curse of the Allflame content consistently in Tier 14+ maps. Always pick fresh voyage/wish options if the challenge tracks unique selections.
Use PoE Trade: Buy boss fragments, unique maps, Astrolabes, and influenced gear rather than grinding them yourself. Trade is almost always faster than self-farming for challenge completion.
Public Rotas: Boss rotas via party finders and community Discords are the fastest way to tick off invitation and pinnacle boss challenges.
Track Your Progress: Use /recheck_achievements in chat if a challenge isn't updating properly. GGG's tracker occasionally desyncs after major events.
This guide will be updated with confirmed challenges, exact objectives, target numbers, and reward previews as soon as Grinding Gear Games releases the official Curse of the Allflame challenge list. Bookmark this page and check back after the 3.29 launch livestream for the complete finalized guide.
