There are a total of 26 legendary weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign. And all of them are actually really good because, at the very least, they do some really good damage because the legendary weapons are the highest rarity weapons in the game, and they're always going to end up doing the most damage in their own respective weapon class. But there still are going to be some that are better than others. So today, we are going to sort out the Elden Ring Nightreign Best Weapon Tier List!
1. Marais Executioner's Sword (S Tier)
Marais Executioner’s Sword stands out for its unique passive: each kill grants a permanent 0.8% damage boost, stacking indefinitely until death. This applies to all damage sources, not just the sword. The weapon skill is hard-hitting and efficient, and with enough kills, the user can achieve double damage across the board.
2. Grafted Blade Greatsword (S Tier)
Every kill with this colossal sword grants a permanent stat boost until death, making the user increasingly powerful as fights progress. Its skill adds further temporary buffs and allows you to tank more damage. The weapon itself hits hard and is reliable in all content.
3. Starscourge Greatsword (A Tier)
As a paired colossal sword, Starscourge Greatsword now receives a gravity AoE on its first light attack, massively increasing its damage and stance damage while hitting in a large area. The skill also unleashes a significant AoE attack, though spamming light attacks is often more effective.
4. Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear (A Tier)
This great spear’s skill clears everything nearby, rapidly building bleed and proccing a 30% damage boost upon bleed activation. Its range and crowd control make it a top pick for both bosses and mobs.
5. Sacred Relic Sword (A Tier)
A legendary greatsword with the most range, Sacred Relic Sword excels at crowd control with its skill but also boasts a devastating charged heavy attack that releases a fast projectile. At close range, this attack deals massive stance and regular damage, and it has the highest crit damage among greatswords.
6. Dark Moon Greatsword (A Tier)
With frost buildup and a passive that debuffs enemies to take 10% more damage on every hit, Dark Moon Greatsword is a top-tier choice. Its skill buffs the weapon with more magic damage and frost, and its projectile heavy attack is both efficient and powerful.
7. Dragon King’s Cragblade (A Tier)
This heavy thrusting sword offers powerful pokes and a pre-nerf skill that breaks stances rapidly. The skill grants infinite hyper armor, and jumping heavy attacks transform you into a cloud that deals extra damage and stance damage. Even without FP, it remains highly effective.
8. Maliketh’s Black Blade (A Tier)
A colossal sword with faith scaling and the Destined Death skill, which deals percentage-based damage over time. Its passive applies a Destined Death effect on every hit, making it especially effective against high-HP bosses.
9. Winged Greathorn (A Tier)
A great axe that shines due to its debuffing skill and passive. The skill leaves an AoE that increases enemy damage taken by 15%, and the passive can stack another 10% debuff. Both effects stack, and they benefit your entire team without interfering with your own buffs.
10. Morgott’s Cursed Sword (A Tier)
A curved greatsword with great range and a powerful Cursed Blood Slice skill. Its skill has strong stun lock and bleed potential, enhanced by a C scaling in Arcane. It also delivers the highest critical attack damage in the game via its passive, making it a contender for solo play.
11. Axe of Godfrey (A Tier)
This colossal weapon now boasts top-tier damage, especially after activating its skill, which buffs strength and alters the heavy attack. A charged heavy attack grants a 20% damage boost for 15 seconds. The main downside is the slow moveset for certain classes, but the buffs and unique skill make it a powerhouse.
12. Hand of Malenia (A Tier)
The hardest-hitting katana, Hand of Malenia is a top dexterity weapon with the efficient Waterfowl Dance skill. Its passive effect grants partial HP restoration, pairing well with the skill. The only real flaw is the lack of hyper armor during the skill, which limits its use in trades.
13. Blasphemous Blade (A Tier)
A legendary in the base game, Blasphemous Blade remains a hard-hitting greatsword with health regeneration on kills and a strong ranged skill. Strength-based characters may struggle with its FP cost, and the lack of available buffs makes it less dominant than before, but it’s still reliable.
14. Sword of Night and Flame (A Tier)
With scaling in four stats, this sword can be underwhelming on some builds but shines on others. Its dual skills let you choose between a magic beam or a fire sweep, both scaling off AR. The passive effect adds elemental damage depending on the skill used, helping mitigate damage issues for certain characters.
15. Marika’s Hammer (A Tier)
This hammer shines thanks to its fast, high stance-damage heavy attacks and an AoE shockwave. The Gold Breaker skill provides hyper armor and great crowd control. While its AoE doesn’t do much damage, the overall package is powerful.
16. Grafted Dragon (A Tier)
A fist weapon that excels at stance breaking with fast, powerful charged heavy attacks. Its passive boosts critical hits with a fire AoE, synergizing perfectly with its ability to stagger enemies quickly. The weapon skill hits hard but is limited by short range and lack of hyper armor.
17. Carian Regal Scepter (B Tier)
As a catalyst, its value depends on the spells you have. It always comes with Ranni’s Full Moon, a great damage and debuff spell. Its passive effect mimics Carian Retaliation, allowing you to turn projectiles into counterattacks. The ranking is tricky due to its nature as a catalyst, but it edges into the top of B tier.
18. Giant’s Red Braid (B Tier)
Whips usually struggle due to slow movesets and low stance damage, but Giant’s Red Braid breaks the mold with its fire pillar skill, which outdamages the whip itself, especially against fire-weak bosses. While the basic moveset is still poor, the skill alone can carry this weapon in certain fights.
19. Bolt of Gransax (B Tier)
Bolt of Gransax is the only legendary spear and boasts the exceptional Ancient Lightning Spear skill, which excels at long-range sniping. While it doesn’t melt bosses as fast as other legendaries, the added 40 lightning damage after a charged skill helps its DPS, making it a reliable but not game-changing weapon.
20. Ruins Greatsword (B Tier)
Ruins Greatsword maintains its base game performance, featuring a gravity-based AoE after heavy attacks. However, its heavy attack is weaker than other colossal swords unless the gravity AoE lands. The skill is reliable for knocking enemies back, but the lack of innovation keeps it from ranking higher.
21. Bastard Stars (B Tier)
A flail that improves on the standard archetype, Bastard Stars has a chance to leave damaging AoEs on hit, roughly doubling its damage about a quarter of the time. It works well for dexterity builds and features a strong, easy-to-use nebula skill. Still, it falls short of top-tier because flails generally have sluggish heavy attacks and high stamina costs.
22. Axe of Godrick (C Tier)
As one of two legendary great axes, the Axe of Godrick offers pure physical damage and an effective crowd control skill with some hyper armor. Its unique heavy attack delivers a powerful AoE slam, but this feature is lost if obtained with the Raider character, who instead gets a slow and cumbersome heavy attack. If the unique animation was consistent, this weapon would easily rank higher.
23. Lion Greatbow (C Tier)
Greatbows are less valuable in Nightreign’s fast-paced environment. Still, the Lion Greatbow’s skill, Radahn’s Rain, is a standout for boss encounters, dealing heavy damage to larger targets. The altered heavy attack provides a spread AoE, but this is less practical for boss damage, which isn’t the bow’s main strength.
24. Devourer’s Scepter (C Tier)
Devourer’s Scepter is a strong great hammer with decent stance damage and speed, but suffers from a lackluster weapon skill that uses a lot of FP and deals modest damage. The health regeneration is only useful when hitting multiple trash mobs, and the passive effect (healing on kill) makes the skill redundant. Other weapons, like the Blasphemous Blade, outperform it in this area.
25. Golden Order Greatsword (C Tier)
This weapon is outshined by other faith-scaling legendary greatswords. Its passive effect adds a law of regression spell to heavy attacks, clearing buffs and debuffs for both you and the enemy. However, this is more of a downside, as it often removes your own buffs. The skill, Established Order, is expensive and slow, making it impractical in most situations. A stance-based weapon skill would have greatly improved its standing.
26. Eclipse Shotel (C Tier)
Despite having the highest damage among curved swords, Eclipse Shotel is hampered by its death blight status effect, which is nearly useless outside of a few NPCs. The weapon skill adds a bit of holy damage and offers a follow-up attack, but the small AoE, long animation, and high FP cost hold it back. Its passive effect grants a chance to outright kill enemies, but the circumstances for this are rare and not particularly impactful.
