Elden Ring Nightreign Best Relics For Each Class & How To Get

6/3/2025 10:34:01 AM

Elden Ring Nightreign can be a very tough game, but it can also be made much easier through various mechanics. And one of the main overarching permanent progression systems in the game is relics and the relic right system. So, today we're going to talk about relics. We will review some of the generally best relic options, especially those with set sources rather than random roles. We'll also talk about the best ways to get more good relics, the places that these sorts of set relics come from, and how to get the most out of rolling for random relics as well, and a sort of small touch on the vessels as part of the system, too.

What are Relics & How To Use Them in Elden Ring Nightreign?

Why do these relics actually matter in Elden Ring Nightreign? Relics are one of the main overarching permanent progression systems in Nightreign. At first, relics may seem underwhelming, offering small bonuses such as a +1 to an attribute or a minor consumable at the start of an expedition. However, as you progress, relics become a major source of permanent character power, with effects that can scale impressively between expeditions.

There are two types of relics:

Randomly Rolled Relics

These relics are generated from a large pool and can carry 1 to 3 passive effects of varying strength. You receive them at the end of expeditions, with the number and quality scaling based on the expedition’s success. A full Night Lord completion yields the maximum number of relics and the highest amount of Merc (a currency used at the Jar Bazaar).

Set Effect Relics

These are relics with fixed effects and are obtained through specific sources such as defeating bosses, completing character Remembrances, or purchasing from the Jar Bazaar.

Elden Ring Nightreign Best Relic Tier List

First of all, let's rank the S-Tier versatile set relics:

1. Knight of the Beast

The Knight of the Beast relic is dropped by Gladius, the first Night Lord you’ll face in the game. This relic is fantastic for aggressive melee playstyles, as it restores stamina with each attack. Due to how stamina works in Nightreign, this means that if you’re using a fast-hitting melee weapon, you can essentially keep attacking indefinitely. On top of that, it also adds fire damage to your starting weapon, giving you an early elemental edge, especially against fire-weak Night Lords. This combination makes it an extremely potent early-game relic.

2. Knight of the Wise

Knight of the Wise is earned after defeating the Scorpion Moth, the third Night Lord encounter in the game. This relic is excellent for hybrid or support builds. It increases your maximum FP, adds poison buildup to your starting weapon, and boosts your attack power when poison or rot is triggered nearby. This synergy is particularly strong in co-op when all party members are using it—just one poison trigger gives everyone an attack buff. It’s a highly effective relic for expedition starts, especially in coordinated teams.

3. Old Pocket Watch

The Old Pocket Watch is a random drop from expedition completions, typically rewarded within your first few successful runs. Many players report obtaining it within five expeditions. This relic is a solid all-rounder, offering FP restoration on successive attacks, which is fantastic for magic- or skill-heavy characters. It also provides +3 Dexterity, making it valuable for characters that scale well with that attribute. While it’s not a guaranteed relic, it’s worth keeping an eye out for due to its versatility.

4. Knight of the Fathom

Knight of the Fathom is dropped after defeating the Augur Night Lord and is one of the best support relics in the game. It provides increased maximum HP, causes your flask to heal allies, and makes items apply their effects to all nearby allies. This turns every healing item or buff into a team-wide effect, which is incredible in co-op. If all three players equip it, one flask use effectively heals the entire party. While it doesn’t boost direct damage, its survivability and utility make it a top-tier pick.

5. Grand Tranquil Stone

The Grand Tranquil Stone is unlocked for purchase in the Jar Bazaar after defeating the final Night Lord boss. This relic is widely considered the most powerful in the game for melee characters. It grants the Bloodborne-style rally mechanic, allowing you to heal by dealing damage after being hit. It also provides bonus Vigor and Poise, making you tankier and harder to stagger. This relic shines in aggressive play, letting you recover lost health by staying on the offensive. It pairs extremely well with Knight of the Beast for endless sustain.

6. Wilder's Fire Relic

Wilder’s unique relic becomes available in the Jar Bazaar after you’ve defeated four Night Lords. This relic boosts Strength and Dexterity, and makes Wilder’s ultimate art leave fire in an area, increasing overall damage and AoE potential. It also enables greatsword follow-up attacks after using his character skill, making it perfect for players focused on big weapon combos. It’s a highly synergistic relic for Wilder’s aggressive playstyle.

7. Guardian's Guard Counter Relic

Guardian’s signature relic appears in the Jar Bazaar after your fourth Night Lord kill. It transforms Guardian into a true tank by reflecting a portion of the damage taken while guarding. This solves a major issue for defensive characters who typically don’t contribute damage while blocking. When paired with taunt or aggro-attracting relics, this turns Guardian into a powerful frontline damage sponge who can also hurt enemies by taking hits.

Best Unique Relics for Each Class

Each character has unique relics unlocked through Remembrances or Jar Bazaar milestones. Here are the best relics for each class and how they synergize with the playstyle of each:

Wylder Best Relics

1. Spirit Shelter Grail

This is the most broken relic in the entire game, without a doubt. It’s S-tier, god tier, super overpowered. What it does is partial HP restoration upon post damage attacks. Every time you get hit, there’s a bar, and if you hit an enemy within about 5 seconds, you restore HP based on the damage dealt. This saves you from healing and sometimes you basically don’t take damage because you keep swinging and get back to full HP. It basically makes melee characters immune to damage a lot of the time. On top of that, it has +2 vigor and +2 poise, both stats melee characters want. This may be the best relic in the entire game.

2. Knight of the Beast

This relic is equally dumb because stamina recovers with each successful attack plus one is insanely, insanely powerful on melee users and bow users which we'll get to later. But stamina recovers with each successful attack can roll on other things with RNG. However, it is unique plus one on Knight of the Beast which is obviously from defeating the first night lord as one of the first relics you get. Being one of the best relics you get is a little crazy. On top of that, your starting armament deals fire damage. A lot of the night lords are weak to fire, so that's a huge, huge bonus. You'll be able to upgrade your starting weapon to kill the night lord if you really want, and it is just extra damage. It's very, very strong.

3. Old Pocket Watch

Old Pocket Watch will give you FP restoration upon attacks. It's one of the only sources of FP regen while in combat. Really, the only way to get FP back in this game is to interact with the grace. There's a few other methods like touching of the grass, but this is the best way to do it for melee characters or characters that don't have access to any FP regen. If you're getting like rivers of blood, successive attacks mean quick attacks. That means it's going to regen itself. You're going to be able to just spam it over and over and over and over. It just gives a huge burst of FP when it procs. And it allows you to spam those extremely powerful weapon arts with just a couple of attacks to keep them up in the middle of bosses and stuff. This is super, super strong. And all of these three combined, you're going to see quite a bit, so get used to it.

Guardian Best Relics

1. Polished Drizzly Scene

This relic causes enemies to focus their attacks on the user while guarding, making it ideal for group play where the Guardian assumes a tank role. It provides +3 Vigor and allows teammates to deal damage uninterrupted while the Guardian absorbs aggression. This relic significantly reinforces the Guardian’s intended role as a frontline protector.

2. Guardian’s Goblet

This relic reflects a portion of the damage received while the Guardian’s unique guard stance is active. When combined with the Polished Drizzly Scene, it creates a synergy in which the Guardian not only draws enemy attention but passively returns damage. It also grants bonuses to Vigor and Endurance, further supporting defensive play.

3. Spirit Shelter Grail

This relic provides HP restoration upon post-damage attacks, along with bonuses to Vigor and Poise, supporting the Guardian’s sustainability in melee engagements.

Ironeye Best Relics

1. Edge of Order

Iron Eye uses Iron Eye’s basic default one. However, we are using the Edge of Order from Iron Eye’s Remembrance. It increases our thrusting attacks after using our art, improves our bow attack power, which is what we're mainly using it for, and it gives us holy damage on our bow. Again, mainly for the bow attack power. This is one of the only solid sources of bow damage up, and it is very substantial. So, you want to be using Edge of Order.

2. Knight of the Beast

For the second we do Knight of the Beast, which again works on bows and it's extremely powerful because you can just pew pew pew pew pew from a distance, not have to worry about stamina and when you do get attacked, you'll be able to roll dodge. Extremely, extremely good for keeping that DPS up and staying safe.

3. Spirit Shelter Grail (Bloodborne Relic)

And what a shock, it’s partial HP restoration upon post damage attacks. Who would have thought it’s the Bloodborne rune relic, I should say. Now this one does not work on the bow shots. You actually have to hit with the melee to get your damage, your health back. But you can use the bow with one hand, which means you can put it in your off hand, pew pew pew is fine, and then if you do get hit, have something quick to get your health back. Is definitely ideal. But mainly this is just really good for just getting a little bit of vigor. It's just really good. It's so dumb. Even on Iron Eye, it is really, really powerful.

Duchess Best Relics

1. Spirit Shelter Grail

This relic offers partial HP regeneration after taking damage and retaliating. Combined with her melee-focused playstyle, this relic supports aggressive combat while minimizing downtime for healing. It also provides Vigor and Poise.

2. Knight of the Beast

Provides stamina recovery with each successful attack and adds fire damage to the starting weapon, making it ideal for melee classes like the Duchess.

3. Old Pocket Watch

Restores FP with successive attacks, enabling continued use of weapon arts and abilities during combat. It is especially useful for characters who rely on frequent skill usage.

4. Crown Metal

Unlocked after Duchess’s Chapter 6 Remembrance, this relic causes her full light attack chain to trigger a weaker version of her character skill without activating its cooldown. This significantly increases her damage potential by allowing multiple activations of her skill during standard combos.

Raider Best Relics

1. Torn Braided Cord

Obtained early from Raider’s first Remembrance quest, this relic increases attack power and stamina upon taking damage while using the character skill. It also provides +3 Strength. This synergizes well with Raider’s counter-based skill, allowing him to refill stamina and gain a temporary power boost after successful parries.

2. Knight of the Fathom

For Raider, we got something a little different. We're using Knight of the Fathom, which increases his max HP even further. Raider's already one of the strongest characters in the game in terms of health values. This increases his health to the utmost. This is even stronger than a plus-three vigor relic. This increased maximum HP is unique to the Knight of the Fathom. Also, your flask will heal allies. And on Raider, you have a ton of health. So, ideally, you're not going to be chugging all that often, so you'll actually be able to use your heals to heal your friends. So, you're also sort of like supporty tank. It's just really good for him. Same thing with items. Any usable items you'll get, drop them for Raider, and he'll be able to, with this relic, spread it to your team. So, it's super efficient. Everybody gets the items, not just you.

3. Knight of the Beast

What a shock, it's the Bloodborne and Knight of the Beast. But Knight of the Beast is especially strong on Raider because a lot of Raiders like using jump attacks and dual wielding. If you use dual wield jump attacks, it hits twice, which means you actually get the benefit from this two times in one attack. One jumping L1 will boop proc it twice and your stamina is going to go back and you're going to be able to spam those two-handed jump attacks like crazy. This is honestly one of the most broken things in the game. Raider on Raider, especially because he relies on those jumping attacks that use so much stamina. But not anymore. Not with Knight of the Beast. So yeah, really, really, really strong on Raider.

Revenant Best Relics

1. Small Makeup Brush

Earned from Revenant’s first Remembrance, this relic increases damage while fighting alongside summons and boosts rune acquisition for the entire party. Since her summons are active nearly 100% of the time, this relic provides constant benefit. The increased rune gain helps players reach level 15 more reliably in expeditions.

2. Old Pocket Watch

This relic provides FP regeneration through successive melee hits. Revenant, lacking built-in FP regeneration, benefits from this by using her summons to distract enemies while she recovers FP through close-range attacks.

3. Knight of the Fathom

In addition to increasing maximum HP, this relic allows flasks to heal allies—including Revenant’s summons. It also extends item effects to both teammates and summons, greatly enhancing utility and survivability in group content.

Recluse Best Relics

1. Vestige of the Night

Unlocked after Recluse’s Chapter 4 Remembrance, this relic spawns Terra Magicka zones upon collecting affinity residue and grants +2 Magic Attack Power. It is highly effective for spellcasters, boosting magic damage frequently and passively through basic actions.

2. Bone-Like Stone

And of course, Boneike Stone, another remembrance relic that you can get from doing her remembrance. Suffer blood loss and increase attack power upon art activation. So basically, you instant bleed yourself with your alt, but you get more damage. If you guys have played a lot, you probably seen the boon increase attack power upon blood loss. This allows you to trigger that on yourself at will. Obviously, you need your ultimate, but that's insanely powerful. Being stacked already with the attack buff that it gives you makes her just insane, insane damage dealer.  You definitely want this. Not only that, but on this one specifically, it raises your max HP as well. So, it almost negates the blood loss that you get, which is really cool. And nice int plus three. Just a tiny little bonus there to boost this up a little more.

3. Knight of the Wise

This relic increases maximum FP and boosts attack power when poison or rot is triggered nearby. It is particularly effective when used with party members or builds that apply poison or rot, allowing Recluse to benefit from environmental effects while casting.

4. Terra Magagicka

This is also really dumb. If you guys know anything about Terra Magicka, basically anytime you use her basic ability that is incredibly spammable, you drop Terra Magicka on the ground, which gives you a massive bonus to magic damage, plus magic attack power up plus two gives you even more magic damage. So, this combined is just really, really a no-brainer. Terra Magagicka everywhere for free and more magic damage. Why not?

Executor Best Relics

1. Grand Burning Scene

Available from the Jar Bazaar after defeating four Night Lords, this relic restores HP when roaring during Executor’s ultimate form (wolf mode). It also grants +2 Dexterity and +2 Arcane, supporting hybrid builds. Though not as impactful as some other unique relics, it complements Executor’s transformation mechanics with healing and stat bonuses.

2. Spirit Shelter Grail

Executor also benefits greatly from the HP regeneration effect on counterattack, especially since he often remains in close range. The additional Vigor and Poise help sustain his aggressive melee engagements.

3. Knight of the Beast

The stamina regeneration effect supports Executor’s need to maintain pressure during extended close-range combat sequences.

4. Old Pocket Watch

As with other melee classes, this relic helps maintain FP during battle, enabling frequent usage of skills and weapon arts.

How to Get Relics in Elden Ring Nightreign?

1. Expedition Rewards

At the end of each expedition, players receive a number of randomly rolled relics. The more successful the run, the higher the chance of receiving better and more relics. A full Night Lord clear guarantees the maximum reward and the most Merc, the in-game currency used for relic purchases.

2. Jar Bazaar Vendor

The Jar Bazaar is a key place to obtain set effect relics. Initially, the vendor offers a basic selection. As you progress and defeat more Night Lords, the vendor’s inventory expands:

After defeating four Night Lords, powerful character-specific relics become available.

After defeating the final Night Lord, the vendor unlocks some of the strongest relics in the game, including one that grants a Bloodborne-style rally mechanic, allowing you to heal after taking damage by retaliating with melee strikes.

In addition, the vendor allows you to random-roll relics for 600 runes each. You can roll up to 10 relics at once. These rolls function similarly to expedition rewards and may yield relics with one to three effects. While RNG-based, it’s possible to acquire relics this way that surpass even the best set relics.

3. Selling Unwanted Relics

At the Relic Rite Station, players can access the Sell tab. This function allows you to exchange unwanted relics for runes. These runes can then be used to purchase or roll for new relics at the Jar Bazaar. However, runes are also used to unlock gestures, vessels, chalices, and character skins, so players should consider their priorities before spending extensively on relic cycling.

4. Remembrances

After completing expeditions with a character, players unlock Remembrances through their journal. Each character has a unique Remembrance tree that awards:

One unique relic early on.

A Chalice, which determines relic slot colors.

A final unique relic later in the Remembrance progression.

These unique relics always have fixed stats and effects. Some are broadly useful, while others are more niche but can be powerful in the right context.

5. Night Lord Boss Drops

Each Night Lord drops a specific relic the first time they are defeated. These relics are fixed and often highly effective, such as:

Knight of the Beast (from Gladius): Grants stamina recovery on hit and adds fire damage to your starter weapon.

Knight of the Wise (from Scorpion Moth): Increases maximum FP, adds poison buildup, and boosts attack power when poison or rot is nearby.

Knight of the Fathom (from Augur): Increases max HP, makes flasks heal nearby allies, and shares item effects with nearby players.

Old Pocket Watch: Usually acquired early via RNG, restores FP on successive attacks and grants +3 Dexterity.

6. Vessels

Each character uses a Vessel, which determines the number and color of relic slots available. While every character starts with a default vessel, additional vessels can be unlocked through Remembrances or purchased at the Jar Bazaar. Some vessels are universal and not tied to specific characters. For example:

Spirit Shelter Grail: Available after defeating the third Night Lord (Scorpion Moth), it provides three green slots and can be used by any character. It is particularly effective if you have three strong green relics to equip.

7. Preset Loadouts

Players can save up to 20 relic presets, which are shared across all characters. This allows for quick switching between optimized loadouts for different builds or classes.

How to Use Relics Effectively in Elden Ring Nightreign?

1. Build Synergy

Relics can be slotted into colored chalice slots, each character has a unique chalice configuration. Equipping relics that align with your class's strengths (e.g., melee, ranged, magic, support) and available slot colors is key to maximizing effectiveness.

2. Combine Set Relics with RNG Rolls

While set relics provide reliable strength, high-roll RNG relics can surpass them. Use relic selling and rolling via the Jar Bazaar to chase powerful combinations.

3. Use Vessels to Customize Slot Layouts

Vessels define the number and color of relic slots a character has. Some vessels are unlocked through journal progression, others are purchased. Not all vessels are character-specific. For example:

Spirit Shelter Grail: Unlocked after defeating Scorpion Moth, offers 3 green slots and can be used by any character. Choosing the right vessel allows you to equip your highest-value relics efficiently.

4. Save Presets

You can save up to 20 relic presets, shared across all characters. Use this to quickly swap builds between expeditions or experiment with different setups.
