Midnight 12.0.5 DPS Tier List - Best Raid & M+ DPS in Midnight

April 27, 2026 WoW Classic Guides

WoW Midnight 12.0.5 is different. Not because the numbers changed, but because the gap between raid performance and M+ performance has never been wider. Read this Midnight 12.0.5 DPS tier list, ranking best raid and M+ dps.

WoW Midnight 12.0.5 Best DPS - Midnight 12.0.5 DPS Ranking

Here's what most tier lists get wrong: they rank specs by raw damage. That works fine for target dummies. But in a mythic raid, you need burst windows that align with mechanics. In a +20 key, you need AoE cycles that don't fall apart during chain pulls. And in both, survivability and utility often matter more than your peak DPS. So we built two separate tier lists—one for Nerub'ar Palace raid (mythic progression focus) and one for Mythic+ (18–22 key pushing). Same specs. Below, you'll find the complete breakdown for Midnight 12.0.5 best DPS for raid and M+ . We've organized them by real-world viability, not simulation dreams.

WoW Midnight 12.0.5 Raid DPS Tier List

This isn’t just raw DPS rankings. It’s based on damage profile (burst, cleave, single target). Survivability (can you live mythic mechanics). Utility (raid buffs, debuffs, support). Real raid viability (not sims—actual boss fights). That last part matters most. A spec can sim high but still be bad in real raids.

D Tier

Arms Warrior  → Does nothing better than other specs → no reason to bring it

C Tier

Beast Mastery Hunter → mobility is great, but damage doesn’t justify it

Balance Druid → good spread damage, bad boss damage

Frost DK → decent cleave, but Unholy does it better

Enhancement Shaman → high effort, low reward + squishy

Outlaw Rogue → consistent, but no burst = bad for raid windows

Affliction Warlock → too slow to ramp

B Tier

Demonology Warlock → nerfed, no longer dominant

Arcane Mage → strong damage, but now fragile

Windwalker Monk → good, but not essential

Shadow Priest → strong in ideal fights, bad mobility

Fury Warrior → consistent but average

Subtlety Rogue → good burst, but not top-tier impact

A Tier

Frost Mage →Strong single + cleave. Brings Arcane Intellect (huge raid buff)

Retribution Paladin → Insane raid utility (Devotion Aura). Easy to execute → great in messy fights

Feral Druid → Big buffs, finally competitive. Almost S tier if tuning holds

Destruction Warlock → Excellent in multi-target raid fights. Warlock utility = always valuable

Havoc Demon Hunter → Brings Chaos Brand (mandatory debuff). Solid all-around kit

Marksmanship Hunter → Strong burst + improved Hunter’s Mark

Augmentation Evoker → Raid-wide DPS amplifier. Scales with team coordination

S Tier

Devourer / Vengeance Demon Hunter → High damage + mandatory raid debuff. Strong survivability

Devastation Evoker → Perfect for 2-target cleave + add fights. Strong burst windows. Great mobility + survivability

Unholy Death Knight → Top-tier single target + scaling. Strong utility (Anti-Magic Zone). Durable for progression

WoW Midnight 12.0.5 M+ DPS Tier List

Unlike Midnight 12.0.5 raid DPS rankings, this one is based on key level pushing (18–22+ keys). AoE + burst cycles (trash > bosses in M+). Utility (dispels, stops, buffs). Survivability + uptime. Group synergy (VERY important). This is about real dungeon performance, not theoretical DPS.

S Tier

Augmentation Evoker → Massive group DPS amplification (Ebon Might). Fits into almost every comp

Insane utility (dispels, support, survivability tools). It’s not about its damage—it makes everyone else stronger

Devourer Demon Hunter  → Extremely strong damage in current dungeon design. Great scaling in both AoE and priority. Benefits heavily from Augmentation synergy. Feels “S tier” mostly because content favors it

Demonology Warlock → Insane consistent AoE + cleave. Strong cooldown cycle (fits M+ pacing perfectly). Good damage without relying on perfect pulls. But Lost some utility (less interrupts)

A Tier

Elemental Shaman → Huge burst damage. Strong utility (totems, dispels). Weak outside cooldowns. Feels strong, but inconsistent

Beast Mastery Hunter → High mobility (huge advantage in M+). Surprisingly strong damage. Performance boosted by top players

Shadow Priest → Strong cleave + sustained AoE. Good utility (Mass Dispel). Problem is weak synergy with current dungeon needs. Comp competition hurts it

Marksmanship Hunter → Strong burst + AoE. Recently reworked is unstable. Likely to drop after tuning/bug fixes

Frost Mage → Consistent AoE + cleave. Good cooldown cycling. Biggest issue is very squishy now. Gets replaced by safer specs

B Tier

Arcane Mage → Good damage profile. Lost survivability is big problem in high keys

Fire Mage → Has cheat death (Cauterize). Lost identity (no strong niche anymore)

Affliction Warlock → Decent spread damage. Too slow (ramp issues in fast M+ pulls)

Destruction Warlock → Used to dominate AoE. Now outclassed by Demonology in every way. These specs can do 18–20 keys, but struggle beyond

F Tier

Devastation Evoker → Biggest shock of the Midnight 12.0.5 Mythic+ DPS tier list. Falls far behind in high keys (16–18 range). Weak sustained AoE in chain pulls. Completely overshadowed by Augmentation
