Midnight Season 1 Raid Tier List - Best Raid Specs for Midnight S1

February 25, 2026 WoW Classic Guides

With the launch of Season 1, World of Warcraft: Midnight introduces a raid environment that heavily rewards synergy, role compression, and unique spec value rather than raw damage alone. Read our Midnight Season 1 raid tier list, ranking the best raid specs.

Midnight Season 1 Best Raid Spec - Midnight S1 Raid Tier List & S1

A raid spec tier list is essential in Midnight Season 1 because raid slots are more competitive and more specialized than ever. Modern raid design no longer rewards bringing “good enough” specs across the board—instead, it favors specs that offer unique buffs, damage amplification, cooldown stacking, or encounter-breaking utility. Specs like Augmentation Evoker or Preservation Evoker are not just strong; they multiply the effectiveness of the entire raid, making them irreplaceable at higher levels of play. At the same time, many specs that are perfectly playable in casual or Mythic+ content struggle to justify a raid slot when another spec from the same class—or another class entirely—offers more value with less risk.

S Tier

These specs combine top-tier output, unique raid value, and low replacement cost.

  • Devourer Demon Hunter – Exceptional sustained and burst damage with strong raid utility; one of the most valuable DPS profiles in Season 1.

  • Preservation Evoker – Elite raid healer with unmatched burst healing, cooldown coverage, and Evoker synergy.

  • Brewmaster Monk – Extremely tanky with high damage and strong self-healing, making it a premier raid tank.

  • Guardian Druid – Massive self-sufficiency and strong damage for a tank, offering stable raid performance.

  • Augmentation Evoker – The strongest raid-wide damage amplifier in the game; its value scales with raid skill and gear.

A Tier

Powerful, reliable specs that fit easily into optimized raid comps.

  • Demonology Warlock – Excellent sustained damage, strong cleave, and Warlock utility make it a consistent raid staple.

  • Unholy Death Knight – High cleave and execute damage with strong raid utility; scales very well with encounter length.

  • Restoration Druid – One of the best sustained raid healers with unmatched HoT coverage and cooldown flexibility.

  • Protection Warrior – Outstanding at handling heavy physical boss damage and benefits from strong Warrior DPS specs.

  • Devastation Evoker – High burst damage and Evoker class synergy keep it very competitive.

  • Survival Hunter – One of the strongest melee DPS options with excellent damage uptime and utility.

  • Fire Mage – Powerful burst windows and strong scaling, especially on fights that reward combustion timing.

B Tier

Playable and functional, but either outshined or lacking unique raid impact.

  • Frost Mage – Solid and consistent damage, but weaker than Fire and Arcane in optimized raid setups.

  • Havoc Demon Hunter – Good damage and mobility, but overshadowed by Devourer in raid value.

  • Arcane Mage – High potential damage but heavily execution- and encounter-dependent.

  • Holy Paladin – Strong cooldowns and utility, but healing throughput lags behind top healers.

  • Enhancement Shaman – Good burst and utility, but inconsistent damage and melee competition hurt raid priority.

  • Elemental Shaman – Reliable ranged damage with utility, yet lacks standout scaling or niche dominance.

  • Discipline Priest – Powerful in coordinated groups, but harder to justify over other healers in general raids.

  • Frost Death Knight – Decent sustained damage, but outperformed by Unholy in nearly all raid scenarios.

  • Marksmanship Hunter – Strong burst and range, but lacks utility compared to other top DPS.

  • Beast Mastery Hunter – Easy to play and consistent, but lower ceiling and weaker raid impact.

  • Subtlety Rogue – Strong burst windows, but limited raid utility and high competition among melee.

  • Windwalker Monk – Good damage and mobility, but outclassed by other melee specs in raid value.

  • Holy Priest – Solid raw healing, but lacks the utility and efficiency of other healers.

  • Affliction Warlock – Ramp-based damage struggles in faster or movement-heavy encounters.

  • Restoration Shaman – Good raid cooldowns, but overall healing output and flexibility fall short.

  • Protection Paladin – Excellent utility and immunities, but less durable than top-tier tanks.

  • Blood Death Knight – Extremely self-sufficient and good for magic damage, but limited raid impact overall.

C Tier

These specs struggle due to tuning, scaling issues, or strong competition within their class.

  • Shadow Priest – Weak damage and limited raid utility compared to other ranged DPS.

  • Balance Druid – Currently undertuned with poor scaling and little raid-defining value.

  • Assassination Rogue – Damage profile and utility do not justify a raid slot.

  • Outlaw Rogue – Inconsistent damage and lacks a strong raid niche.

  • Feral Druid – Good single-target potential, but weak scaling and heavy competition.

  • Destruction Warlock – Poor tuning and weaker sustained damage compared to other Warlock specs.

  • Mistweaver Monk – Healing output and raid value lag behind other healers.

  • Vengeance Demon Hunter – Simplified kit and lack of synergy leave it behind other tanks.

  • Retribution Paladin – Outperformed by other melee DPS and offers limited raid-defining utility.
