Phase 1 was basically the warm-up. Phase 2 is where The Burning Crusade actually begins to feel like TBC — more raids, more systems, more grind, and way more preparation required. Read this TBC Anniversary Phase 2 tier list, we ranked the best DPS, tanks and healers.
TBC Anniversary Phase 2 Tier List - Best DPS, Tank & Healer in Anniversary P2
TBC Anniversary Phase 2 DPS Tier List
S+ Tier
Arcane Mage
Insane burst + strong scaling. Mana issues become manageable with Shadow Priest and better gear. Short burn phases still dominate boss damage. Even in longer fights, Arcane still wins if played correctly.
S Tier
Fury Warrior
Scales INSANELY with gear. Becomes a monster in Phase 2. Benefits from Windfury Totem and Armor debuffs. This is where Fury really starts taking over this WoW TBC Anniversary phase 2 DPS tier list.
Fire Mage
Starts catching up to Arcane. Better sustained DPS in longer fights. Scales well with crit + gear. Phase 2 = Fire becomes more viable, Phase 3+ = even stronger.
Destruction Warlock
High, reliable DPS. Less setup than Affliction. Strong scaling + consistent output. Very safe, very strong raid pick.
Beast Mastery Hunter
Still top tier, but no longer #1 like early Phase 1. Why slightly weaker now doesn’t scale as hard as warriors/mages. More sustained fights expose limits. Still elite, just not dominant anymore.
A Tier
Demonology Warlock
Not top DPS. BUT brings huge raid buffs (spell power). You bring 1 for the raid, not for damage.
Arms Warrior
Lower DPS than Fury but mandatory for Blood Frenzy (raid debuff). You bring ONE, always.
Elemental Shaman
Great burst + utility. Totems = massive raid value. Not top DPS, but always wanted.
Survival Hunter
Provides Expose Weakness. Boosts raid physical DPS. Again → brought for synergy, not meters.
Retribution Paladin
Hybrid role. Provides buffs + solid DPS. Better than people think in optimized raids.
B Tier
Combat Rogue
Decent DPS. BUT no insane scaling. Competes with stronger melee. Playable, just not meta.
Enhancement Shaman
Strong melee support. Windfury bot basically. You bring for buffs, not DPS ranking.
Affliction Warlock
Strong in LONG fights. But ramp-up time hurts. Less burst. Can shine later, but weaker in Phase 2 pacing.
Shadow Priest
DPS is mid. BUT mana battery (VERY important). Always 1 per caster group.
C Tier
Balance Druid
Feral Druid
Lower DPS output. Utility exists but weaker than others.Still playable, just not optimal.
Marksmanship Hunter
Strictly worse than BM. No reason to play over BM.
Frost Mage
PvP spec basically. Zero reason in PvE.
D Tier
Assassination Rogue
Subtlety Rogue
Not designed for PvE DPS. No scaling, no output. Pure PvP specs.
TBC Anniversary Phase 2 Tank Tier List
S Tier
Protection Paladin
Still the #1 tank in TBC Anniversary Phase 2. Best AoE threat in the game (SSC trash = HUGE packs). Never loses aggro. Essential for trash waves and multi-target boss fights.
Feral Druid
Best off-tank in Anniversary Phase 2. Massive HP + armor = insane survivability. Strong single-target threat. Flexible tank → DPS (Cat) swap. Perfect for boss swapping, add tanking and hybrid roles.
A Tier
Protection Warrior
Still strong, but no longer king. Best defensive cooldowns Shield Wall and Last Stand. Strong single-target threat. Very reliable for certain bosses.
TBC Anniversary Phase 2 Healer Tier List
S Tier
Restoration Shaman
Best overall healer in TBC — no debate. Chain Heal = GOD TIER in SSC/TK. Raid-wide healing dominates Phase 2 fights. Totems = insane utility. Mana Tide. Windfury. Tremor. Even with raid-wide Bloodlust, you STILL want 1 Shaman per group.
Holy Paladin
Best single-target healer (tank healer). Insane tank sustain. Flash of Light / Holy Light spam. Infinite mana with crit (Illumination). Phase 2 bosses hit HARD → tank healing is critical.
A Tier
Holy Priest
Most versatile healer in TBC Anniversary. Can do EVERYTHING, such as AoE healing, tank healing and spot healing. Great for unpredictable fights.
B Tier
Restoration Druid
Good, but limited in raids. Strong HoTs, Lifebloom and Rejuvenation. Great for movement fights and sustained healing. Works well in long fights and multi-target sustain.
Discipline Priest
Utility pick, not throughput. Power Infusion = strong DPS boost. Pain Suppression = tank cooldown.
