Where and How to Get Heir of Perdition in Diablo 4 Season 10

It is highly sought after for pushing endgame content, with particular appeal to character builds that capitalize on raw damage output. Get your hands on this helm and put it to good use in your favorite builds. Below are the main ways to get Heir of Perdition in D4 S10.

Heir of Perdition Drop Rate

Based on previous data, the drop rate for the Heir of Perdition in Diablo 4 is a bit mixed but gives a good picture overall. When farming Lair bosses at level 130, the chance to get this item is around 6.9%. On the other hand, if you craft mythic items, the drop rate appears higher, about 13.7%. Combining both sources, the overall average drop chance for the Heir of Perdition sits at roughly 10.1%.

Diablo 4 Heir of Perdition Drop Bosses and Locations

One of the best and primary ways to get Heir of Perdition in Diablo 4 Season 10 is by farming it as a drop from specific bosses in the game. This mythic unique helm can drop from various Lair bosses, which you can repeatedly defeat to farm specific items. Lair bosses come in three tiers: Initiate, Greater, and Exalted, with Exalted bosses such as Belial offering the highest rate to drop Heir of Perdition. If you cannot access the Exalted boss reliably, farm Greater Lair bosses like Duriel. To access higher-tier Lair bosses, you need special keys obtained from defeating lower-tier bosses or completing certain in-game events. The new shield mechanic introduced in Season 10 makes killing these bosses faster by removing long immunity phases, allowing you to farm more efficiently. You can just click on the boss location on the map and directly teleport to it, and repeatedly killing the boss to increase your chances of obtaining the helm.

  • Echo of Varshan: The Malignant Burrow in Tree of Whispers

  • Lord Zir: Ancient's Seat in the Darkened Way

  • Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint: Hall of the Penitent, south of Ked Bardu

  • Echo of Duriel (Duriel, King of Maggots): Gaping Crevasse, east of Gea Kul

  • Beast in the Ice: Glacial Fissure, south of Kyovashad

  • Echo of Andariel: Hanged Man's Hall, east of Tarsarak

  • Belial, Lord of Lies: Palace of the Deceiver in Kehjistan

Tip:

Using Tribute of Ascendance is a great strategy to speed up the acquisition of Mythic items while also collecting the materials needed to craft or upgrade your gear. When you complete a Tribute of Ascendance marked as "United", it grants a party-wide increase in the drop rate for Uniques and Mythic Uniques. This means that everyone in your group benefits from a higher chance to find Heir of Perdition.

Diablo 4 Heir of Perdition Crafting Runes, Materials and Method

If you prefer a guaranteed way to get the Heir of Perdition, you can craft it at the Jeweler by using a targeted Mythic crafting system. This method requires specific materials, including Runes, Resplendent Sparks, and gold. Runes are special items introduced in the Vessel of Hatred expansion, but they only start dropping once you complete the Fundament of Faith chapter of the Vessel of Hatred campaign. After unlocking rune drops, you can farm runes from multiple sources, such as dungeon bosses, Helltide chests, Whisper caches, seasonal rewards, and Kurast Undercity dungeons completed via Tribute of Mystique or Tribute of Harmony. To craft a specific Mythic Unique like Heir of Perdition, you must gather the exact runes required for that item. At the Jeweler, you can craft the helm with a 100% success rate. About Resplendent Sparks, you can farm sparks in Season 10 by reaching the rank 24 of Viz-Jaq'taar Veneration Reputation, completing the Destroyer tier of Seasonal Journey, killing Echo of Lilith for the first time, and dismantling an unwanted Mythic at the Blacksmith.

  • 2 Resplendent Sparks

  • 6 Jah Runes

  • 6 Que Runes

  • 6 Gar Runes

  • 5,000 Gold

Other Ways to Get Heir of Perdition in D4 S10

Aside from farming and crafting, there are two more, less reliable ways to obtain Heir of Perdition.

  • Gambling: You can gamble at the Purveyor of Curiosities using Obols, the gambling currency, for a chance to get Mythic Uniques, including Heir of Perdition. However, the odds are very low, so this method is more of a supplemental way to spend excess Obols.

  • Transmuting: Another option is to use the Alchemist to transmute items. Transmuting requires the same materials as crafting (2 Resplendent Sparks and the required runes) but produces a random Mythic Unique instead of a specific one.

Diablo 4 Heir of Perdition Build

The Heir of Perdition helm is a great choice for the Crackling Energy Sorcerer build in D4 Season 10. This build focuses on fast, powerful lightning attacks, and Heir of Perdition helps increase damage by boosting the ranks of your core skills. It fits well with the overall playstyle, especially when you want to deal as much damage as possible in tougher challenges.

The Crackling Energy Sorcerer mainly uses the skill Crackling Energy, which becomes much stronger thanks to the legendary amulet Esadora’s Overflowing Cameo. This amulet increases damage based on how many shock skills you have leveled, so the more shock skills you invest in, the harder your attacks hit. The build actively cycles between a few key skills like Ball Lightning, Teleport, and Unstable Currents, while other skills like Charged Bolts and Chain Lightning are mainly there to boost damage indirectly.

For the build setup, Heir of Perdition replaces the helm Harlequin Crest, which focuses more on cooldown reduction and mobility. While Harlequin Crest is great for moving quickly and farming, Heir of Perdition offers higher damage output by increasing the ranks of your core skills, which is especially useful for pushing through difficult endgame content like the Pit. The helm’s special effect grants a big damage boost, which pairs well with the burst damage style of this Sorcerer build.

The build also uses Chaos Armor and Perks like Mana Shield to improve survivability and Explosive Combinations to increase damage further. Other gear pieces focus on raising critical strike chance, cooldown reduction, and intelligence, all of which help your damage and skill uptime. For example, rings like Ring of Starless Skies and Galvanic Azurite provide extra skill ranks and cooldown reduction, while gloves and pants with Esadora’s Overflowing Cameo and Crown of Lucion increase damage and help manage your resources.
