Elden Ring 1.08 Frost Build Guide 2023 - Top 5 Best PVE Frost Builds In Elden Ring 1.08

Frost builds in Elden Ring can be quite powerful, as they can cause enemies to slow down and take additional damage. Frost damage can also bypass some enemy resistances and deal additional damage to bosses weak to frost. In this Elden Ring 1.08 Frost builds guide, we’re sharing with you the top 5 best Frost build for PVE. At number one we have a Clayman's Cold Harpoon build. At number two, we have a Rusted Anchor build. Number three we have a pure caster build. Next up we have a Darkmoon Greatsword build. At the final position, we have a Death's Poker build. Next, we go into details for each best Elden Ring 1.08 PVE Frost builds gear, armor, talisman, and spells.

No.5 Elden Ring 1.08 Best Frost Build

Now Death's Poker is the most overpowered favorite intelligence weapon in the entire game. It is a frost-based Greatsword that does get a unique heavy attack with some cool charges with an upward cut, but the best part about this weapon is it actually works Ghostflame Ignition which is for 25 FP.

Frost Build Gear

You can either leave this cool trail of fire along the ground which does frost and magic damage or you can just decide to explode the ball to make you do a very large AOE attack. Either way for 25 FP both attacks are definitely worth it. It does scale primarily off intelligence and despite the descaling that actually has in intelligence, it's definitely worth leveling it up. The reason why you need to have 50 points in intelligence, so being that the ash of war is really good. We're going to spec all into that.

Frost Build Armor

So with our armor set, we have the entire Spellblade set on, including Spellblade's Pointed Hat, Spellblade's Traveling Attire, Spellblade's Gloves, and Spellblade's Trousers. Because every single pace does increase the ash of work by 2% damage.

Frost Build Talisman

As for the talismans, the Graven-Mass Talisman is going to boost your sorcery. The Carian Filigreed Crest actually decreases your FP cost from 25 to 20. You’re going to have the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman to boost your defenses being that you have lighter armor on. At last, you’re going to have the Shard of Alexander to further boost your ash of war damage.

Frost Build Spells

Now as for your spells, have Glintstone Icecrag to proc frost at a distance. Switch Glintstone Shard to clean up kills, Magma Shot against enemies that are weak to fire, and a Rock Sling to hit enemies at a distance, as well as Knight Comet which is good against enemies that like to input read. Now all of these spells are going to be a secondary option because the ash of war is going with you the main part about it is going to keep spamming it over and over again until you win essentially.

No.4 Elden Ring Best 1.08 Frost Build

Now the special thing about this Elden Ring best patch 1.08 build is that it doesn't require any spells or points put into mind at all. We do have some spells equipped because obviously, we are going to benefit, but they're not required whatsoever.

Frost Build Gear

Now the main weapon of choice that we have is the Dark Moon Greatsword which is perhaps the best Elden Ring Frost weapon 1.08 in the entire game. You use its ash of war and your heavy attacks turn into projectiles. They do an enormous amount of damage enormous, amount of posture damage, and obviously don't consume any FP. In your offhand. We have the Helphen's Steeple. It just adds magic and frost damage, both have very good intelligence scalings. The Helphen's Steeple does have a good strength scaling, hence why you need to have a few points put into that.

Frost Build Talisman

As for your talismans, going to have the Shard of Alexander. Now despite the projectile being tied to the heavy of the Dark Moon Greatsword, it still does ash of war damage for whatever reason. The Godfrey Icon Talisman is going to boost your heavy attack or your charge heavy attacks. Then we have the Claw Talisman to boost your jumping attacks by 15% because power stance jumping attacks are absolutely insane. Then we’re going to have the Great-Jar's Arsenal to boost your equipment load because great swords can be a bit heavy.

Frost Build Spells

As for the Spells for this most overpowered Elden Ring Frost build 1.08, we’re going to be using a Swift Glintstone Shard. This one is just used to pick off kills or like bait in enemies from a distance. The second spell is Terra Magica which leaves a cool magic pull on the ground. Then we have Ranni's Dark Moon which debuffs enemies and makes them take more magic damage for the next minute. So pretty much how this op Elden Ring 1.08 Frost build PvE works is that you laid off into the boss fight, use Terra Magica, and use Ranni's Dark Moon to buff the debuff the boss. Switch to Helphen's Steeple buff, switch to Dark Moon Greatsword buff, and then spam heavy attacks and spam jumping attacks until you win.

No.3 Best Elden Ring Patch 1.08 Frost Build

Now the stats for this best Frost build Elden Ring 1.08, 60 vigor, 30 mind,s and let's put the rest of your points into intelligence.

Frost Build Gear

The staff choice is going to be the Lusat's Glintstone Staff. This one does have the best sorcery scaling, however, it does consume the most amount of FP when using spells. so FP might be a little bit of a problem with this build, there are a couple of ways we can counteract this one. You can just get a sword like a straight sword or a curve sword to make magic confused and just use it when you run out of FP. However, the best thing you can do is put more of your flasks to the Cerulean side, just have a bunch of blue flasks, not many red flasks and you'll be fine. It's going to be okay because you're going to spam a bunch of projectiles anyway at a distance. You're not really going to get hit unless you're bad at the game.

Frost Build Armor

We're going to have the Snow Witch Hat equipped which is going to boost our cold sorceries.

Frost Build Talisman

As for our talismans, the Graven-Mass Talisman boosts our sorcery in general. The Magic Scorpion Charm boosts our magic damage but does decrease our defenses. Radagon Icon to boost our sorcery, the casting speed of our spells and have the Taker’s Cameo Talisman to give you a little bit of health regen on every single kill. If you are in a boss fight, you can use the grab in Graven School Talisman instead.

Frost Build Spells

You’re going to have Carian Slicer as our melee option which is one of the best spells in the entire game. Glintstone Icecrag is a very good projectile option that's very good at frost build-up. Adula's Moonblade is almost just as good pretty much. At close range, it does a lot of damage, and could hit multiple targets at once. Zamor Ice Storm is decent at doing Frost buildup and Night Comet is good against hitting enemies. You can use Ronnie's Dark Moon at the beginning of the fight to debuff the damage. Magma Shots are good at enemies that are weak to fire and then having something like Rock Sling is good for physical damage. If you go up against an enemy that is resistant to magic and have Terra Magica to make your characters do more magic damage in general.

No. 2 Elden Ring Best Frost Builds After Patch 1.08

Now the Rusted Anchor is perhaps most players’ favorite shrink weapon in the entire game. This looks amazing, does piercing damage and what more can you want?

Frost Build Gear

This bad boy Cold Infusion going to be doing 127 Frost build and we’re going to have Wide Strikes equipped onto this weapon. Now Wide Strike is perhaps one of the best ash of war in the entire game, definitely best pair with the Rusted Anchor. You get a bunch of high pressure during his animation, you spam attacks quickly side to side for only 2 FP per cast, and then being that you're tanking a lot of attacks piercing counterattack damage definitely comes into play. You can literally roll out of the animation at any given point, so it's very risk-free. You do get cool added combos with it with its light attack does this cool horizontal type. With its heavy attack, its cool overhead slam attack does really good damage and does really good frost build up, it's just one of the best ashes in the entire game.

Another weapon we’re going to be using on offhand is a dagger in your offhand, just so you can use Golden Vow. It just gives you more damage and more defenses. As for your staff of choice going to have the Demi-Human Queen's Staff which obviously scales very nicely with strength.

Frost Build Talismans

As for your talisman, have the Great Jar's Arsenal to improve your equipment load. Have the Spear Talisman which improves your counterattack damage being the weapon does piercing damage. Shard of Alexander is here to boost your ash of war damage. Then Millicent's Prosthesis which with successive attacks you just do more damage and being that Wide Strikes is nothing but successive attacks.

Frost Build Spells

For your spells, pretty much the exact same ones, not going to really go into detail. Swift Glintstone Shard, Magma Shot, Rock Sling, and Glintstone Icecrag.

No. 1 Best Elden Ring 1.08 Frost Weapon

Now the Clayman's Cold Harpoon is a Magic-based spear that does have an intelligence scaling and it can be infused.

Frost Build Gear

So pairing it with an intelligence infusion makes it do a lot of magic damage. We're going to have two of these bad boys because the power stance spear moveset is probably the best moveset in the entire game. Our main ash of war option is going to be icepear because this thing is absolutely cracked. It's a projectile-based ash of war that does a lot of damage, a lot of frost build-up, and good stagger damage. On top of all of that, only consumes 15 FPS. The thing is this borderline broken. We're going to have Chilling Mist, and now chilling mist is going to add more frost to our build.

Frost Build Armor

As for our armor going to have the entire Spellblade set because every single piece does increase the damage of icespear by 2%.

Frost Build Talismans

As for our talismans, the Shard of Alexander boosts our Icespear speed damages. We’re are going to have the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and the Millicent's Prosthesis to boost our damage with successive attacks and then being that the power sense speed moveset is nothing. But a bunch of quick attacks it's going to benefit it greatly and you're going to have the Carian Filigreed Crest to lower our FP cost to 12% which is obviously very beneficial.

Frost Build Spells

As for our spells, not really that necessary because Icespear is going to be our main projectile option. But we are going to have Terra Magica to just boost our magic damage if need be. Then have a Magma Shot for fire damage and then the Rock Sling for physical damage if we need it. Spam icespear, spam the power sense moves it and you'll find a lot of success.
