In Elden Ring, bleed build is also known as blood loss build, basically, it's a status effect that builds up until it fills an enemy's bleed bar, once filled a flat percentage of damage is dealt to the character instantly. Taking 15% to 20% off of an enemy's health bar in the early game may sound helpful, but when enemies later in the game have thousands of health points 15 to 20% is a game changer, you can increase your own resistance to blood loss by increasing your robustness stat and to increase the damage you can stat into arcane. Arcane increases blood loss buildup on your weapons as well as your chance of finding good stuff when enemies die, pair this with one or two weapons that strike fast and you'll be building bleed on your enemies in mere seconds. When you pair a high arcane stat with a weapon that not only causes bleed buildup but also scales its damage with your arcane stat, your damage will be lethal to any who stand in your way.

1- Dual Reduvia Bleed Builds

• Weapons: Great Knift+24 (Right Hand),  Rivers of Blood+10 (Right Hand), Reduvia+10 with Reduvia Blood Blade (Left Hand), Occult Uchigatana+24 with Bloody Slash (Left Hand)

• Armor: White Mask, Hoslow's Armor, Beast Champion Gauntlets, Hoslow's Greaves

• Tailsman: Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Millicent's Prosthesis, Shard of Alexander, Lord of Blood's Exultation

• Incantations: Bloodflame Blade, Flame, Grant Me Strenght, Swarm of Flies

The Bloody Slash is the Ash of War that a lot of people sleep on because most people were using it for Dex builds. The ranged bloody portion from the Bloody Slash, Reduvia, Bloodblade, and Rivers of Blood, all deal physical damage not fire damage. Their physical damage scales with two things, first the base physical damage scales off your weapons level, then second any additional Arcane points will increase that damage, even further based on your Arcane level even if the weapon doesn't scale with Arcane, it does not scale with decks or strength or anything else, but it can be buffed further with other spells and items like Golden VoW, Flame Grant Me Strength and Blood boil Aromatic. To get the most value out of this, use a bloody slash with occult weapon scaling. Again the damage does not scale with decks the ranged blood attack damage scales with Arcane and the bleed Hemorrhage buildup increases with Arcane too, and by making your weapon the occult Affinity the physical melee damage also gets increased with your Arcane level. Dexterity on the other hand only increases the on-hit damage of the weapon and nothing else. The drawback to this weapon is that the melee weapon part does not currently have a melee hitbox. These are currently the best bleed builds for 1.08.1 and they all have good damage and very fast bleed procs.

2 - Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear Build

• Weapons: Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear+25 (Right Hand), Bandit's Blood Curved Sword+25 (Right Hand), (Left Hand), Giant's Seal (Left Hand)

• Armor: White Mask, Raptor's Black Feathers, Royal Remains Gauntlets, Royal Remains Greaves

• Tailsman: Claw Talisman, Shard of Alexander, Lord of Blood's Exultation, Fire Scorpion Charm, Shabriri's Woe

• Flask of Wonderous Physick: Flame-Shroud Cracked Tear, Stonebarb Cracked Tear

• Stats (150 Level): 50 Vigor, 37 Mind, 45 Endurance, 24 Strength, 14 Dexterity, 14 Intelligence, 13 Faith, 80 Arcane

Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear is arguably the best weapon in Elden Ring right now just because of how absurd the Ash of  War: Bloodboon Ritual is. The range of this Ash of War, the stagger potential, and the raw damage output is the best thing you'll experience in this game, it also literally attacks through walls and ceilings, so if that doesn't confirm how broken it is we don't know what will. The weapon is all-around good but can be slightly slow and not as good for quick enemies unless you just spam its Ash of War. However, if you don't want to spam the Ash of War on everything you see, in another slot in your left and right hand you can run the Bandit's Blood Curved Sword. And on these swords run any Occult Ash of War specifically the one on your right hand having seppuku on it and this is just for the huge damage buff you get with that. Running two of these is optimal for its moveset since the jumping attacks while power stancing, these swords swings four times which can trigger blood loss almost every time, using two isn't mandatory just a recommendation since the drop rate can be a little annoying for the sword.

3 - Keen Nagakiba Double Blood Build

• Weapons & Ash of War: Keen Nagakiba+25 with Double Slash (Right Hand),  Dragon Communion Seal+10 (Left Hand)

• Armor: White Mask, White Reed Armor, Tree Sentinel Gauntlets, Tree Sentinel Greaves

• Tailsman: Shard of Alexander, Lord of Blood's Exultation, Millicent's Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia

• Flask of Wonderous Physick: Thorny Cracked Tear, Crimson Bubbletear

• Stats (150 Level): 60 Vigor, 14 Mind, 17 Endurance, 18 Strength, 75 Dexterity, 9 Intelligence, 25 Faith, 16 Arcane

After many nerf, the Ash of War Double Slash has become contextually much better and very powerful with the right build, just using it with high Dexterity and Keen Nagakiba is very effective in both PVE and PVP and even competitive with Rivers of Blood and its output which is really impressive. We absolutely steamroll bosses and burst people in PvP for outrageous damage with that combo, which is a lot more viable because we're using a Nagakiba Katana but instead of the Rivers of Blood, doing the same damage with better range. If you were missing like the old Rivers of Blood with a ridiculous range and bleed build-up, this is basically the best alternative we have in PvP. The build will work very well without blood flame, such as when you're dealing with an enemy that is immune or resistant to bleed like some of the end-game bosses, this build will work arguably better than the Rivers build. And you've got to think that in the DLC, surely bosses will be resistant to bleeding because of how popular it was in the original Elden Ring, this could be a really good build with that in mind.

4 - Blood Poison Keen Venomous Fang Build

With the 1.08 patch, Reapers are finally back on the meta menu in Elden Ring both in PvP and PVE. The casual 32,000 damage combo is an absolutely insane burst and DPS potential is achived with this build in PvE, but it's also very strong in PvP if given the chance to catch with these very insane Ashes of War. In patch 1.08, Reapers were specifically buffed to have faster attacks and reduced recovery time on those which has made a big impact on their potential. Spinning Strikes for this build were improved in 1.07 also with better recovery, but importantly its attack power was improved. Combining that Ash of War with our improved Reapers then add a quick blood flame buff, that's what's leading to this insane DPS of the build.
