Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 Patch & Ladder Season Release Date

As you know, the Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 version will bring unprecedented updates to the game, involving the improvement of class skills, the addition of new D2R runewords, and the opening of the ladder season. While we've experienced some of these exciting new content in the first phase of 2.4 PTR that has ended, you'll definitely be looking forward to exploring them in the official game.

The official Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 Patch did not go live after the end of PTR as previously guessed, and the start time of Ladder Season 1 has not been officially announced. But Blizzard revealed in its official forum and Reddit community that another PTR is planned to release for ladder testing before the launch of the D2R 2.4 Patch. So:

When Will D2R Ladder PTR Be Released?

On the post from Blizzard's official forum, they’ve revealed, probably one week after the first phase PTR to be offline on February 9th (Wednesday) at 10:30 am PT, a new PTR for ladder testing will roll out. So we could expect the D2R Ladder PTR release date set around February 16-18, 2022, and probably last another 2 weeks like the first phase of 2.4 PTR (Jan 25 to Feb 9). 

When Will Diablo 2 Resurrected Patch 2.4 Be Released?

After the PTR for the ladder ranking season, no further tests are planned for patch 2.4. So if we assume that the last test phase will also last 15 days, that’ll be February 16-18 to March 2-4, so D2R 2.4 Patch release date is likely scheduled on the week of March 7-11, 2022.

When Will D2R Ladder Season 1 Start?

Ladder Season will not start alongside the launch of the D2R 2.4 patch and will be released a little later to ensure that there aren’t any weird game-breaking bugs that spawn up on the release of the patch. So the D2R Ladder Start Date is contingent on the 2.4 patch date and would drop on the week of March 14-20, 2022, about a week after the 2.4 patch coming live.
