Best Aion 2 Assassin Builds, Skills, Macros & Daevanion (PvP & PvE)

Aion 2’s Assassin is a high-skill dagger-wielding melee DPS built around stealth, back attacks, critical hits and Insignia burst combos. While the class can reach some of the highest damage numbers in the game, poor skill choices, wrong rotations or messy macro setups will make it feel weak, especially in the early game. This guide centers on build Aion 2 Assassin class for both PvE dungeon and boss content and PvP duels, small-scale fights and abyss skirmishes, including skill selections, stigma picks, macro configuration and Daevanion board progression.

Aion 2 Assassin Builds, Skills, Macros & Daevanion Guide

The Assassin is a melee DPS class that uses dual daggers, relying on positioning, stealth and back strikes to maximize damage. The core mechanic revolves around Insignias: skills such as Savage Roar engrave Insignia stacks onto enemies, and Insignia Explosion consumes these stacks to deal heavy burst damage and apply stun. More stacks mean stronger burst and higher stun chance.

Assassin gameplay rewards careful positioning. Movement abilities like Shadowstrike, Flash Slice and Infiltrate let you quickly move behind targets to trigger back attack bonuses. Many skills have special conditions: Heart Gore only activates on critical hits, Storm Rampage works best against staggered enemies, and Shadow Fall lands knockdown primarily on stunned targets.

This class has top-tier damage but very low survivability. You will need to manage stamina for dodges, watch crowd control immunity windows, and avoid staying in the middle of fights for too long. The class is rated 5/5 for damage output, low for survivability and utility, and hard to master for new players.

If you need a number of Kina for upgrading your skill specialities, Daevanion boards, gear, and arcana, AOEAH offers budget Aion 2 Kinah to cut down repetitive farming time so you can spend more time testing different Assassin configurations.

Is Aion 2 Assassin a Good Class for Global Release?

Assassin is a strong pick for the global release, but it is not a beginner-friendly easy-mode class. It shines for players who enjoy precise positioning, combo timing and burst play.

For PvE, the Assassin can sit near the top of DPS charts once your core skills, passives and stigma are built out. Its Insignia burst, paired with back attack multipliers, melts staggered bosses. The main downside is low defense; one misposition can lead to quick deaths during boss mechanics.

For PvP, Assassin excels at 1v1 duels and small-scale group fights such as 5v5 and abyss roaming. Stealth and crowd control tools allow you to hunt down squishy targets, lock opponents in stun chains and delete enemies in one burst window. It struggles in large open battles where multiple targets can focus you down, as you lack sustained defensive cooldowns.

If you enjoy high-risk, high-reward melee gameplay and are willing to learn rotation, positioning and macro timing, Assassin is an excellent main class for global launch. If you prefer tanky classes with simple rotations, this may not be the best choice.

Aion 2 Assassin Best Builds & Skills for PvE (2026 Global)

PvE Assassin builds focus on maximizing back attack damage, Insignia burst and combat speed. Early skill priority is strict: max the three core active skills first, then invest heavily into passives for the biggest early-game DPS gain.

Core Active Skill Priorities

Three active skills should be leveled first. Max these three to level 20 early, as level 20 unlocks three specialties for each skill.

  • Quick Slice: Pick the second and fourth specialties at first. At level 16, swap the second specialty for the fifth. This is your basic chain attack that restores MP and fuels your core rotation.

  • Heart Gore: Start with first and fourth specialties. At level 16, replace the first specialty with the final option. This specialty lets you spam Heart Gore repeatedly whenever you land a critical hit.

  • Insignia Explosion: Begin with second and third specialties. At level 16, swap the second for the last specialty. This is your primary burst finisher that consumes all stacked Insignias.

Once these three hit level 20, stop spending points on extra active skills for a while. Put your remaining skill points into passives first; passives deliver the biggest early-game damage gains.

Other key active skills for PvE:

  • Shadowstrike: Grab the 20% critical damage boost specialty, which is mandatory for PvE. This skill can stay at level 8.

  • Ambush: Keep it below level 16. Unlock its final specialty so you can cast it three times to maintain healthy HP through absorption. Only use it when your HP drops low.

  • Storm Rampage: Do not raise this to level 16. Unlock the specialty that reduces all skill cooldowns by 1 second. Use this ability while bosses are staggered to speed up your whole rotation.

  • Whirlwind Slice: Level 8 is enough. Choose the 60-meter range and +50% multi-hit specialty, though you will rarely use this skill in PvE.

  • Flash Slice: Important for repositioning behind bosses to land back attacks. Unlock its second and fourth specialties.

  • Infiltrate: Leave at level 8. Do not unlock its first specialty. You can activate Infiltrate in combat by pressing shift, or use it while flying in the abyss without prerequisites.

  • Defiance: Unlock its second and third specialties to restore 1000 stamina, letting you use shift-dodge more often.

PvE Passive Skill Order

Prioritize these four passives first, as they give the largest damage increases:

  • Rear Smite: Raises back attack damage and PvE damage boost.

  • Assault Stance: Adds 1% critical damage boost per level.

  • Exploit Weakness: Boosts your raw attack power.

  • Impact Hit: Improves your double-hit chance.

After maxing those four, invest in Ambush Stance for small DPS gains and Revitalization Contract, a strong defensive passive that restores 46% HP when you take heavy boss hits. Any leftover skill points can go to other passives that add only minor damage increases (around 1-2% DPS).

PvE Stigma Setup

You only need four stigma skills for PvE: Savage Fang, Swift Contract, Triniel's Dagger, and Illusive Clone.

  • Swift Contract and Illusive Clone are your two most important buffs. These two are the reason Assassin’s burst DPS ranks so high.

  • Level Swift Contract to 10 first, then push it to 20 with stigma shards gained from abyss points. It grants extra combat speed, which is critical for Assassin.

  • Level Illusive Clone to 15, then max it to 20 after Swift Contract. Illusive Clone removes Heart Gore’s cooldown and adds extra damage during its duration.

  • Savage Fang stacks five Insignias instantly for burst windows. Triniel's Dagger adds extra back attack damage.

PvE Basic Rotation

1. Activate Swift Contract and Illusive Clone double buff immediately.

2. Use Shadowstrike to gain the 20% critical damage bonus.

3. Cast Savage Fang to stack Insignias for burst.

4. Use Triniel's Dagger to cut cooldowns.

5. Use Flash Slice to reposition behind the boss and repeat the rotation loop.

Aion 2 Assassin Best Builds & Skills for PvP (2026 Global)

PvP Assassin focuses on evasion, survivability and reliable crowd control. The goal is to survive long enough to land stuns, then unleash a one-shot burst on opponents. This build works for 1v1 duels, small 3–5 person groups, 5v5 and abyss roaming.

PvP Active Skill Levels & Specialty Choices

  • Quick Slice: Level 16. Select specialties that restore MP and ignore block. MP recovery keeps your skills available on cooldown during extended fights.

  • Savage Roar: Level 12. Take skill speed specialty.

  • Shadowstrike: Level 12. Pick cooldown reduction on hit. This helps you close distance against kiting classes, applies stun, and has a chance to root targets. Rooted enemies cannot move, so you can land constant back attacks.

  • Ambush: Level 12–13. Choose the specialty that breaks protective shields on hit, plus a 50% chance to trigger Whirlwind Slice. Whirlwind Slice can stun, giving extra combo options against shield-heavy classes.

  • Heart Gore: Aim for level 16 eventually. Current level 12 works fine; use HP absorption and 10-second Insignia engrave on hit.

  • Flash Slice: Level 12. This gap closer also blinds enemies for two seconds, great when trading hits.

  • Infiltrate: Take shield break and increased range specialties. It counters ranged classes such as rangers and clerics that try to kite you.

  • Shadow Fall: One of the strongest PvP skills. It triggers knockdown and HP absorption. Use after landing a stun to steal HP while the opponent cannot move.

  • Insignia Explosion: Provides rotation and a 1-second stun. Turning enemies lets you hit their back without repositioning.

Do not use Storm Rampage in PvP.

PvP Passive Priority

  • Apply Poison: Top priority. Attacks have a chance to apply poison, reducing incoming healing of enemies by 40% for 10 seconds and dealing damage over time. This counters healers and self-sustaining classes.

  • Rear Smite: Boost all your back attack damage.

  • Exploit Weakness: Extra critical hit and attack buff chance. Max these three first, then work through other passives up to level 5 if you lack enough skill points.

PvP Stigma Build

  • Spiral Slice: Level 10. Removes up to two enemy buffs. When two or more buffs are stripped, it stuns the target for three seconds, which is very strong against templars, chanters and clerics.

  • Triniel's Dagger: Level 10 if possible, level 5 is acceptable. It reduces all skill cooldowns on hit, though the effect can miss if the enemy dodges.

  • Illusive Clone: Highest priority stigma. Level to 15. It removes Heart Gore cooldown, adds extra damage, and raises status effect proc chance. This is your core burst buff.

  • Shadow Step: Your emergency escape tool. Shadow Step pulls you backward, grants stealth and can stun enemies for three seconds. Use it to reset fights, recover HP and prepare a counterattack when cornered.

Always fight from behind targets. Use stealth via Shadow Walk stigma to sneak into position before opening combat. Chain stuns and roots to stop enemies from turning around. If overwhelmed, use Shadow Step or Evasion Contract to break slows and roots, then reset the fight. Your full burst should only be unleashed once you land a solid stun window.

Aion 2 Assassin Macros Setup (2026 Global)

This simple combined macro setup for Aion 2 Assassin maximizes your DPS. It pairs the game’s native macro with a Logitech mouse macro.

In-Game Macro

Create an in-game macro that only contains Insignia Explosion, add a 10 millisecond delay. Do not add extra skills inside this macro. This macro handles the core damage skill of your rotation.

In-game key binds

  • Navigate to Key Settings → Quickslot. Find Skill Quickslot: Quick Use 1 (Quick Slice), bind the Left Bracket [ key. Now both your default left mouse click and [ key can activate Quick Slice.

  • Go to Key Settings → General, scroll down to the Gameplay section. Locate the in-game macro binding option and assign the Dot . key to trigger the in-game macro.

Mouse Macro Configuration

This uses Logitech mouse software (G Hub) to combine both commands.

  • Create a new mouse macro. Add two keystrokes: [ (Left Bracket for Quick Slice) and . (Dot to fire your in-game macro).

  • Enable the setting: Repeat while holding. The macro runs continuously as long as you hold the button; release to stop.

  • Bind this completed mouse macro to your Right Mouse Button.

Other Settings

  • Head to Combat → Controls, Turn on Skill Queue for smooth skill activation.

How to use: Hold the right mouse button. The macro will cast Insignia Explosion first, followed by Hardcore and Quick Slice in rotation. By combining the in-game macro and mouse macro together, your Assassin can consistently reach peak DPS.

Aion 2 Assassin Daevanion Build & Board Setup (2026 Global)

Aion 2 Assassin Daevanion Full Node List & Spending Route (2026 Global)

Daevanion boards let you spend character points to gain extra stats and higher skill levels. You start from the center of each board and can only unlock nodes next to ones you already own.

Global Daevanion has five boards:

  1. Nezekan — Unlocks at Lv 12|Focus: Combat Speed, Cooldown Reduction

  2. Zikel — Unlocks at Lv 20|Focus: Damage Boost

  3. Vaizel — Unlocks at Lv 30|Focus: Critical Damage Boost

  4. Triniel — Unlocks at Lv 40|Focus: Attack, Critical Hit & stat filling

The first four boards share one common point pool. Fully filling all four costs 570 points.

  1. Azphel — Unlocks at Lv 45

Separate PvP board. It uses special crystals from Abyss Monolith, Abyss Shop, and Arena Shop. Even pure PvE players gain +1 Gear Score per point invested here.

Node types:

  • White node: 1 point → flat basic stat (Attack, Crit, HP, Defense etc.)

  • Green node: 2 points → +1 level for a passive skill

  • Blue node: 3 points → +1 level for an active skill

  • Orange core node: 4 points → percentage bonus

Refunding any node only costs 500 kina, so it’s cheap to fix wrong point choices.

Core Build Rule: Skills First, Cores Second

  • Your normal skill points cap most skills at level 10. Daevanion boards can add up to +4 extra skill levels. This is your largest source of power gain.

  • Orange core corners give percentage bonuses but require many points to reach. In this build, we only pick them if they sit along the path to your priority skills.

  • Never rush core corners before upgrading your main damage skills.

Assassin Skill & Passive Picks

✅ Max 4 core damage skills (+1 node on each of the four PvE boards)

  • Heart Gore

  • Insignia Explosion

  • Quick Slice

  • Savage Roar

These four make up most of your total damage output. Upgrade them first.

✅ Secondary burst skills (+2 nodes each, target level 12)

  • Ambush

  • Storm Rampage

Storm Rampage only triggers against staggered enemies but adds reliable burst damage.

✅ Key offensive passives (+2 nodes each)

  • Rear Smite: Boosts back-attack damage, the most important passive for Assassin

  • Assault Stance

  • Exploit Weakness

❌ Nodes to skip:

Shadow Fall, Defiance, Apply Poison, Defense Break, Revitalization Contract.

Some orange core corners are blocked behind low-value skill nodes. You only unlock those blocking nodes if they form the cheapest path to the corner bonus.

Clean‑up flat offensive stats along your existing path.

Aion 2 Assassin Best Wings

Early game, use the wing you earn from the main story quest. The best PvE wing for Assassin is the Talisra Wing, granting 4% cooldown reduction. Save your season shop points to redeem this wing and avoid spending season currency on other items.
