The spooky season has arrived in AION 2, bringing a packed seasonal update filled with new cosmetics, event currencies, candy mechanics, and a game-changing Odyle Energy adjustment. This guide walks you through every reward worth chasing, how to farm the event currencies efficiently, and the smartest ways to spend your coins and candy keys before the event wraps up.
AION 2 Halloween 2026 Event Guide (Skins, What To Buy & How To Get All Rewards)
The Halloween event is officially live on global servers of AION 2, and it runs for roughly three weeks, ending at maintenance on November 3rd/4th. Both factions received a complete seasonal makeover across their main hubs and side hubs, including the Elyos areas and the Asmodian Safehaven and Norneer Assembly. Pumpkins, lighting, and festive decorations transform your starting zones into a proper Halloween setting.
At the heart of the event are two currencies working side by side: Halloween Pumpkin Coins, used at the event merchant, and Candy Key Fragments, used to craft keys that open giant candy props placed around the towns. On top of that, three brand new outfit sets, weapon skins for every class, two mounts, spider wings, and dozens of single skins arrived in the cash shop.
With the general picture in mind, let's go over what changed in this global version of the event compared to Korea.
Changes to the AION 2 Global Halloween Event in 2026
The global patch includes several adjustments that pull it ahead of the Korean version in a few ways.
Odyle Energy consolidation - The biggest shift came to the Wind Breeze Merchant special tab. The old system limited you to 4 Odyle Energy per character and 16 per server weekly. That cap is now gone, and the per character weekly limit jumps to 20 for 100,000 Kinah each. This is a massive buff for alts, because previously they could only buy four per week. Each alt now gets 16 additional expedition runs weekly, which reshapes the alt meta entirely.
Instant clear tickets and soul crystals moved - Due to the server transfer window overlapping with the event, instant clear tickets for daily dungeons and soul crystals have been relocated from the Wind Breeze shop to Substance Morph. Free-to-play players now have a window to pick up soul crystals they could not normally get.
Event rewards tuned up for global - The global version offers nightmare dungeon challenge tickets rather than just the instant clear tickets for nightmare that Korea has. The global coin shop lineup is generally more generous than what Korea received at the same point.
With those changes noted, here is how to actually run the event week by week.
How To Run the AION 2 Halloween Event
The event has three parallel systems you want to keep up with throughout the three weeks.
Step 1: Daily Attendance (Trick or Treat)
Open the Attendance menu and click Trick or Treat. Logging in daily for 14 days gives you a total of 620 Halloween Pumpkin Coins, with the biggest payouts on day 7 and day 14 (100 coins each).
Step 2: Weekly Event Missions
Head to Season Mission → Event tab. These 10 missions reset each week and give 235 coins per week, which adds up to about 1,325 coins over the full event. Tasks include:
Hunt 10 monsters in the Abyss
Clear Transcendent dungeons, Expedition, Ascension Trial, and Nightmare
Log in three times
Use five scrolls
Participate in Dimensional Invasion (occurs every 90 minutes on the half hour)
Participate in Shugo Festival
Complete a dungeon and obtain one piece of unique (legendary) gear
Step 3: Craft Candy Keys & Open Candies
Run expedition and transcendence dungeons to farm Candy Key Fragments. You need 60 fragments to craft one key through Substance Morph → Event tab. You can craft one of each color per server per week, then open the matching candies next to the Halloween Pumpkin Coin Trader.
Step 4: Visit the Pumpkin Coin Trader
Every main hub (Dawn Legion Base, Zumiant Village, Safehaven, Norneer Assembly) has a Halloween Pumpkin Coin Trader placed next to a teleporter. Buy out the weekly items each reset.
Now, let's go over the new skins and rewards actually available.
AION 2 Halloween 2026 Skins & Rewards
The cash shop received a full seasonal rotation of cosmetics. Everything is on sale until maintenance on November 24th. None of these items have stats, so there is zero pay to win involved.
Outfits (around $30 each, account wide)
Monarch of Blood: A Dracula themed outfit with a cloak. Looks sharp on both the male and female versions.
Midnight Witch: Comes with a large pointed hat. The female version is a hit, though opinions are mixed on the male variant.
Midnight Slasher: Horror movie styled set with an apron look. Scary and well designed, likely very popular on global.
Weapon Skin
Halloween Night Weapon Skin ($11.99): Features orange, black, and pumpkin themes. Each class has its own version (greatsword for gladiator, mace and shield for cleric, spellbook for sorcerer, staff for chanter, sword and shield for templar, longbow for ranger, orbs for spiritmaster, daggers for assassin). The pumpkin motif applies to most classes, though the assassin daggers skip the pumpkin design and feel a bit underwhelming. Weapon skins are per character.
Wings
Spider Wings ($19.99): A spider rides on your back as you flap. Not for the arachnophobic crowd. Per character.
Mounts/Pets ($20 each)
Pumpkin Carriage: Follows you as a small pumpkin with a hat, transforms into a full carriage when mounted.
Little Ghost: A tiny floating ghost as a pet. When mounted, your character becomes a ghost with little legs showing. Mounts are per server.
Single Skins (Kuna)
Around 50 new single skins are available for 300 Kuna each, including Dapper Lantern, Jack-o-Lantern, face bandages, Frankenstein bolts, red scar face paint, pumpkin clown, clown face paint, tears of blood, death mask, black cat face paint, vampire knight, ghost tattoo, muzzle, Dracula fangs, and Pumpkin Cutie.
In-Game Reward Skin
The 250 coin Halloween Chest at the event merchant also contains a spooky skeleton breastplate skin plus 10,000 pet soul crystals, which is particularly useful for players still working through Pet Genus progression.
Free Twitch Drop Skin
Some content creators are also running Twitch drop campaigns during the event. By watching selected live streams for a few hours, viewers can earn an exclusive skin along with extras like Odyle Energy, a Skin Chest, Resurrection Spirit Stones, and an additional outfit for free. If you want to grow your wardrobe without spending real money, keep an eye on partnered streams while the Halloween event runs.
With the cosmetics covered, let's look at what else you should spend your Halloween Pumpkin Coins on.
What to Buy in the Hallween Event Coin Merchant Shop
The Halloween Pumpkin Coin Trader has a mix of per server items (buy once per account on the server) and per character items. Prioritize the big ticket purchases first, since the Halloween Chest and power shards never reset while the rest reset weekly.
Buy First (Per Server)
Special Halloween Chest (250 coins): Skeleton breastplate skin + 10,000 soul crystals. One-time purchase.
Odyle Energy (10 coins each, 4 per week): 40 coins total weekly for 40 Odyle Energy. Easily worth four extra dungeon runs. Requires level 45.
Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Tickets & Shugo Festival Reward Keys (7 coins each): Three per week each, totaling 42 coins. Great for pushing statue progress faster.
Combined, Odyle Energy and the tickets alone cost 82 coins a week, which is very easy to hit.
Next Priority (Per Server, Weekly)
Lower Abyss Rift Stones (30 coins, 2 per week): Adds an extra hour of Abyss activity.
Skin Chest (15 coins each, 5 per week): Can roll from common up to legendary.
Resurrection Spirit Stones (2 coins each, 10 per week)
Instant Clear Tickets for Daily Dungeon (3 coins each, 7 per week)
Per Character Items
Life Crystals (2 coins each)
Halloween Candy (2 coins each): Food buff giving +25 attack, +250 defense, +300 max stamina, and 40% more natural stamina regen.
Halloween Cookies (2 coins each): Food buff giving +500 max HP, +250 max MP, +300 max stamina, and 40% more natural stamina regen.
Leftover Coins
Superior Power Shards (1 coin each, no limit): Save these for the end of the event in case you need coins elsewhere first.
Buying out the full weekly list costs around 258 coins a week. Over three weeks plus the one-time Halloween Chest and per character goodies, the total sits around 1,100 coins, well within the 1,325 coin ceiling if you keep up with attendance and missions.
Now let's go over the full strategy for grabbing every reward, including the candy system.
How To Get All Halloween Rewards
Running the event efficiently comes down to timing your currency farming correctly and prioritizing the right candies.
Farming Halloween Pumpkin Coins
Keep your weekly habits active. Simply running your normal weekly content covers almost all 10 event missions:
Kill monsters in the Abyss
Clear Transcendent, Expedition, Ascension Trial, and Nightmare dungeons
Join Dimensional Invasion (every 90 minutes)
Participate in Shugo Festival
Use five scrolls per week
Obtain one piece of legendary gear from a dungeon
Log in three times
Spend one hour inside the Abyss
Combine that with the daily Trick or Treat login attendance and you'll clear enough coins to buy everything in the shop.
Farming Candy Key Fragments
Candy Key Fragments drop from Expedition and Transcendent dungeons. One run of expedition costs 80 Odyle Energy and dropped around 6 fragments, meaning you need roughly 10 runs (800 energy) per key. Crafting all three keys weekly takes about 2,400 energy total. This is where the new 20 Odyle Energy per character cap genuinely saves you.
Candy Keys & Substance Morph
Head to Substance Morph → Event tab to turn 60 fragments into one key. The three keys craft once per server per week each, with a reset every Wednesday at the zero hour mark. Walk back to the Halloween Pumpkin Coin Trader area where the three giant candies sit, and interact with each one using the matching key.
Candy Rewards Comparison
Not all candies are created equal. Here is what each one contains:
Blue Candy (Top Priority): 4 Odyle Energy, 10 Resurrection Spirit Stones, plus 5 Halloween candy and 5 Halloween cookies. Energy is king here.
Yellow Candy (Second Priority): 10,000 Abyss Points (equivalent to one Sigma Shard), 10 Life Crystals, plus 5 Halloween candy and 5 Halloween cookies.
Red Candy (Lowest Priority): 20 Growth Pet Chests, 10 Battle Enhancement Scrolls, plus 5 Halloween candy and 5 Halloween cookies.
Prioritize Blue Candies Strategy
If you cannot afford to craft all three keys in a given week, always open Blue first, Yellow second, Red last. Odyle Energy fuels everything else you do in the game, while Red Candy's growth pet chests are weak compared to what you can farm by playing normally. Spiritmasters and Sorcerers in particular should be careful not to get drawn into the Red Candy by mistake, since burning 800 energy on fragments for the weakest reward is a common trap.
Substance Morphing Extra Resources
During this event window, the Substance Morph menu also contains instant clear tickets for the daily dungeon and soul crystals, which were moved from the Wind Breeze shop. Free-to-play players should take advantage of this while it lasts, since these items will likely return to the membership shop afterward.
Alt Strategy: Why Alts Just Became Must-Have
With Odyle Energy sitting at 20 per character weekly, the value of alts has climbed dramatically. Previously, alts could only buy 4 Odyle Energy per week, which barely moved the needle. Now, any alts you push to level 22 (so they can access Crow Cave and expedition) will contribute meaningfully.
Buying out the 20 Odyle Energy on every character costs 2 million Kinah weekly per character, but you'll earn that back easily through the extra dungeon runs. If you have eight character slots filled, that's 160 extra Odyle Energy weekly compared to the old system, which is enough fuel for a full extra set of weekly content on each alt. If you have free time right now, this is the best moment to level one or two alts you've been putting off.
Just remember that most Halloween shop items are per server rather than per character, so your alts won't get the Halloween Chest skin or the weekly consumables. They mainly exist as Odyle Energy and dungeon reward factories.
The Halloween event is one of the more rewarding seasonal patches AION 2 has pushed to global servers so far. Between the Odyle Energy change opening up the alt game, the generous coin shop that any active player can clear completely, and the cosmetics being purely optional with no stat advantages attached, there is plenty to grab without spending a cent.
If you only remember two things from this guide, make it these: buy the 20 Odyle Energy on every character you have, and always crack open the Blue Candy first. Everything else falls into place if you just keep playing your normal weekly rotation.
Have fun collecting, and enjoy the festive hubs while they last. The event ends on November 4th, and the Halloween shop runs until November 24th.
