Diablo 4 Insight Recipes, Runes, How to Craft & Make

Season 15 of Diablo 4 brings back well‑known legacy runewords originally seen in Diablo 2. Insight stands out as a craftable Unique weapon that supports multiple equipment forms for different classes. This guide breaks down everything you need to know about D4 Insight, its stats, required rune combinations, base items, crafting recipes and steps and alternative loot sources.

How to Craft and Make Insight in Diablo 4?

Insight is a runeword‑generated Unique weapon added in Diablo 4 Season 15. Unlike most Uniques that drop randomly from monsters, Insight is mainly built through the Horadric Cube. It supports seven different weapon base types, so several character classes can make use of it. The item unlocks for use at character level  27. Both Normal‑quality and Ancestral‑quality versions can be created; the exact same four‑rune recipe works for both variants, with only the base item quality changing the final result.

Diablo 4 Insight Stats & Affixes

Every version of Insight shares an identical fixed set of guaranteed affixes, no matter which base weapon you use for crafting. Ranges reflect Season 15 in‑game values:

  • +17.5% Attack Speed

  • +8.0‑23.0% Critical Strike Chance

  • +104‑173 Weapon Damage

  • +150‑180 All Stats

  • 100%[x] Critical Strike Damage Multiplier

These bonuses focus heavily on offensive performance: faster attack animation, improved critical hit odds, higher raw weapon damage, broad all‑stat boosts, and amplified critical strike damage. All seven weapon variants carry these exact same affix rolls.

Diablo 4 Insight Rune Combos

Four distinct Season 15 runes are mandatory for the Insight runeword: Ral, Tir, Tal, Sol. These base rune powers do not transfer onto the finished Insight weapon itself.

  • Ral (Invocation Rune): Costs 400 Offering; grants +250% Gold Find for 7 seconds.

  • Tir (Invocation Rune): Costs 300 Offering; gives +2 Primary Resource on kill for 8 seconds, stacking up to +8 total.

  • Tal (Ritual Rune): Generates 3 Offering and applies damage‑over‑time effects when activated.

  • Sol (Invocation Rune): Costs 350 Offering and provides 15% Damage Reduction for a set duration.

When making Insight inside the Horadric Cube, you combine these four runes with a compatible base weapon to overwrite the base item and produce the runeword Unique.

Diablo 4 Insight Base Items

You must use a Common (white, zero‑affix) base weapon that falls into one of these categories to craft Insight. Socket count does not matter for Season 15 runeword recipes. Supported base item types:

  • Staff (Druid, Sorcerer)

  • Bow (Rogue)

  • Hand Crossbow / Crossbow (Rogue)

  • Glaive (Spiritborn)

  • Polearm (Barbarian, Druid, Spiritborn)

  • Quarterstaff (Spiritborn)

  • Two‑Handed Scythe (Necromancer)

Note: If you own a Rare or Magic weapon you wish to repurpose, you can clear all affixes inside the Horadric Cube to turn it into a plain Common‑quality white base item for the recipe. Choose your base type according to your character class.

Diablo 4 Insight Horadric Cube Crafting Recipes

Two valid recipe paths exist for D4 Insight in Season 15: Normal and Ancestral versions. The rune combination never changes between them; only your base item quality controls which tier you receive.

Normal‑tier Insight Recipe

  • Base: Any compatible Common‑quality white weapon (Normal tier)

  • Runes: Ral + Tir + Tal + Sol

  • Output: Normal‑power Insight Unique, level 27 requirement.

Ancestral‑tier Insight Recipe

  • Base: Any compatible Common‑quality white Ancestral weapon

  • Runes: Ral + Tir + Tal + Sol

  • Output: Ancestral Insight Unique, higher item power for end‑game play.

All seven weapon shapes use this identical recipe logic.

How to Craft Diablo 4 Insight?

Follow these practical step‑by‑step instructions to craft Insight inside your Horadric Cube:

  1. Collect your four required runes: Ral, Tir, Tal, Sol. These seasonal runes drop primarily from Waking Nightmare content and other Season 15 game activities.

  2. Obtain a matching base weapon. It must be Common (white, no magical affixes). If your weapon is Rare or Magic, transmute it in the Horadric Cube to strip away affixes and make it plain white.

  3. Open your Horadric Cube interface.

  4. Place your clean white base weapon and all four runes into the cube inventory area.

  5. Select the Transmute button. The cube consumes your base item and runes and outputs your finished Insight Unique weapon.

Important point: Unlike Diablo 2 socket‑based runewords, Diablo 4 Season 15 runewords do not require sockets on your base gear. Just a clean common‑quality base is enough.

Where and How to Get Insight in D4?

Crafting in the Horadric Cube is the most reliable way to get Insight. However, Insight can also appear as random world loot. There is no fixed boss that guarantees this item drop. It enters the general global loot pool and may drop inside dungeons, during Helltide events, or within The Pit end‑game activity. Random drops are not dependable, so crafting remains the recommended method to get your Insight weapon.
