Season 15 of Diablo 4 is packed with more hidden content than any season before it, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Diablo franchise with throwbacks to Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, and even Diablo Immortal. From classic Runewords crafted in the Horadric Cube, to joke bosses like Moophisto and Mefishto, to the return of Whimsyshire and the terrifying DClone ambush, Blizzard has buried a huge amount of surprises inside the 3.2.1 patch data. Some of these secrets were found within hours of launch, others took the community weeks of digging, and a few are still being hunted.

Diablo 4 Season 15 Secrets & Hidden Content

So here we are going to sort out all the confirmed hidden features discovered in Diablo 4 Season 15 so far, covering the new worlds, bosses, cosmetic sets, questlines, torches, seals, secret Pit floors, Deckard's Journey satchels, hidden recipes, the two new endings of the Secret Cow Level and more. Let's start from the top of the list.

1. The Bovine Armor Set, Moophisto, Cow Level Endings & The Complete Nut

Season 15 layers an enormous amount of cow themed content on top of the existing Secret Cow Level. It includes a full five piece Bovine cosmetic armor set, a new world boss called Moophisto, two new Cow Level endings, and the return of the Complete Nut event from Diablo Hellfire. All of these are connected, so it makes sense to hunt them as one project.

The Bovine Armor Set

Five cosmetic pieces make up the set, and every class can wear all of it.

The Complete Nut Event (Head of the Bovine)

This event is a Diablo Hellfire joke from start to finish. The world is called Diablo Hellfire - Tristram Outskirts, the quest is "Is that... a cow?", and the toast reads "Where is Lester?", referencing the same Lester whose farm is the Hellfire Waking Nightmare.

Steps:

1. Find a pop-up rift portal in the open world. It can also spawn from a cellar event.

2. Inside is Tristram Outskirts and a man in a cow suit called Complete Nut.

3. Talk to him four times. He says "Moo." then "I said, 'Moo.'" then "Look, I-I'm just a cow, okay?" and finally "Great! You did it, you blew my cover. This is on you."

4. Mad cows attack immediately after the fourth line.

5. He then says "Well, thanks a lot! Now I gotta change." and transforms.

6. The Head of the Bovine drops.

Moophisto, The Divine Bovine (Brisket of the Bovine)

Moophisto is a full world boss whose arena is the Bovine Sanctum, an island with its own waypoint.

Steps to reach him:

1. Get 5 Prime Rib. Finishing The Butcher quest out of Tristram gives you five at once. Further Prime Ribs drop from the Cow King in the Secret Cow Level.

2. Use the Altar of the Heifer on the Skovos mainland, located in The Abandoned Stench in Celestia, 162m northeast of Tyrael's Encampment.

3. You are teleported to the Bovine Sanctum. Activate the waypoint for future access.

4. Summon Moophisto at the island's own Altar of the Heifer, which costs 5 Prime Rib.

The island also holds three vendors: the Bovine Blacksmith, Bovine Jeweler, and Bovine Occultist.

Moophisto drop table:

• Rare: Brisket of the Bovine, Figment of Imoogination (mount trophy), Marquis Milky (a crowned cow pet)

• Mythics dropped often: Mythic Tribute of Armaments, Seal of the Diamond Mind, Crux of the False Prophet

• In bulk: Runes, Kurast Undercity tribute items, talisman charms and seals, Chronicle of Nightmares keys

Season 15 also adds a matching elixir called Udder's Milk. Killing him grants the title "Divine, Bovine." Torment 10 or higher is recommended, and turning off crossplay may improve loot rolls due to a rumored server side loot cap.

Sirloin of the Bovine (Cow King)

The Cow King drops the Sirloin of the Bovine pants inside the Secret Cow Level. He can be killed on any difficulty, so weaker characters are not locked out. He also drops Prime Ribs for Moophisto summons.

Hooves of the Bovine (Cow Island Fishing)

Using the leave dungeon command inside the Secret Cow Level drops you on cow island with the dead unicorn. Fish on the docks there for a chance at the Hooves of the Bovine. The area is internally called Scylara.

Two New Secret Cow Level Endings

Season 15 adds two new worlds:

• ??? with the line "There is no cow level." Level area: The Secret Cow Level.

• ??? with the line "True evil survives." Level area: Whimsydale.

Full unlock steps:

1. Get the Torn Page from the older cow chain.

2. Take the Outcast's Boat at Scylara in Skovos off the east edge. It only appears for someone carrying the page.

3. Enter The Forlorn Cellar beside the boat.

4. Collect three relics, one per Skovos region:

• Mother's Rose in Athulua (Temple of Courage)

• Father's Chains in Philios (Eastlook Bluff)

• Hierophant's Skull in Lycander (Temple of Life)

5. Light the Signal Brazier in each region. A brazier only lights if you carry that region's relic.

6. Once all three are lit, the Hadopelagic Key drops.

7. The key opens the Locked Wooden Coffin at The Creaking Hulls in Hawezar, taking you into the Temple of the Deathspeaker.

8. A ritual runs at the Forlorn Cellar and opens a portal there.

9. On Mount Hefaetrus East Face in Skovos, two portals share one spot. One is The Secret Cow Level.

10. Or use the ??? Nightmare Sigil on a dungeon to reach the same world.

Three optional side branches hang off the chain, based on the choice made in the Fractured Peaks prologue:

• Anger (Amazon leg): needs an Unusual Key, leads to The Training Grounds via Temis.

• Pride (jail): needs a corrupted Ballista and Amazonian Bolt, and involves N'Facl, the Jailer of Angels, in Idyllic Reach.

• Greed: the ritual in the Forlorn Cellar.

Another player can moo you in with the line "A passing wanderer has bellowed at you. You feel the weight of a new sin." Sins can be handed over between players.

2. Mefishto, the Lord of Relaxation

Mefishto is a demonic fish boss tied to a hidden achievement called "Blessed by the Bait" which reads "Slay the Lord of Relaxation." He is the only fish in the game set up for combat.

Steps

1. Collect 10 fish from any shoreline. Any mix of Legendary and Unique fish works. Mythic uniques do not count.

2. Combine all 10 in the Horadric Cube. The output is a Torn Net, followed by the chat line "You emit a foul, hateful stench."

3. Fish in a hostile area, not a town. Two confirmed spawn locations sit east of Temis: one on the mainland shore of Philios (near two large stones), and one on the north shore of Lycander island across the bridge in the Setos area.

4. Expect a long wait. Some players report over three hours before he spawns. A group of four fishing together with the buff often cuts this to around 30 minutes.

Reward

Mefishto drops the Godly Plate of the Whale, a unique chest piece that increases fishing yields by 100% per cast. This doubles the odds at fishing up the rare Murloc Trag'Oul pet.

3. Diablo 1 Tristram Quests (Gharbad, Ogden's Sign & The Butcher)

Three classic Diablo 1 quests return, all tied to a hidden Cathedral dungeon called Diablo - The Labyrinth. Its floors are named as they were in 1996: Cathedral Level 2, Catacombs Level 7, Caves Level 10, Hell Level 15 and 16.

Ogden's Sign

Ogden the tavern owner in Tristram has been robbed by the Dark Ones, who only stole his tavern sign.

Steps:

1. Click the red gate icon at Duin Abbey in the Strand of Scosglen.

2. Find Snotspill inside. He carries Snotspill's Key, which opens the Locked Chest containing the sign.

3. Return the Tavern Sign to Ogden. He rewards you with a Harlequin Crest.

A second achievement called Sign Snooper rewards collecting what Tristram knows about the missing sign.

Gharbad the Weak

Find Gharbad the Weak on Cathedral Level 4 in a quest called A Curious Monster. Give him his gifts and he turns into Gharbad the Strong.

The Butcher

Finishing his quest hands you 5 Prime Rib for summoning Moophisto. Teleport to The Broiler where the Butcher lair boss resides.

4. Na-Krul and Diablo Hellfire - Lester's Farm

The world called World_S15_FesteringNest shows in game as Diablo Hellfire - Lester's Farm. A Journey achievement called "Na-Krul and Unusual" reads: "Complete Diablo Hellfire: Lester's Farm in Torment V or higher." A second achievement names Diablo Hellfire: Festering Night.

The boss is Na-Krul, The Lord of Hellfire. Around him sit a Door, a Lever, three Spellbooks, and Hell's Fingers.

The three spellbooks read:

• In Spiritu Sanctum

• Praedictum Otium

• Efficio Obitus Ut Inimicus

Every Splinter of Hellfire carries all three lines in order as flavor text.

Steps

1. Open a Waking Nightmare with the Chronicle of Nightmares. Lester's Farm is one of nine worlds it can key.

2. Inside, the entrance actor is a Strange Thicket. The way down is a portal called Down to Hive.

3. Find Na-Krul's Door with its Lever and three Spellbooks.

4. Read the books in this order: In Spiritu Sanctum, then Praedictum Otium, then Efficio Obitus Ut Inimicus.

5. Kill Na-Krul on Torment V or higher for the Journey tick.

The nine Waking Nightmares are each themed on a past Diablo release: Diablo - Halls of the Blind, Diablo II - Den of Evil, Forgotten Tower, Crystalline Passage, Tal Rasha's Tomb, Unholy Altar, Diablo Immortal - Horadric Library, the Caldeum Culling, and Lester's Farm.

Lester the Farmer appears in the level, and a unique amulet quotes him: "The fever racks my body. It dances... rhythmless, endless! I fear there is but one remedy. MORE! I must hear more..."

Na-Krul has his own splinter with four tiers, all resistance based: Lesser +35, Splinter of Hellfire +250, Greater +375, Abyssal +625. Socketed, it reads "You deal increased damage, but lose Critical Strike Chance."

5. Whimsyshire and The Pit's Secret Floors

Whimsyshire is a new world in 3.2.1 and doubles as one of three hidden Pit floor layouts.

Whimsyshire Access

1. Finish Chapter 5 of the Season Journey. The Liquid Rainbow potion is one of its rewards, though Chapter 5's own text is about clearing Worldstone Keep and never mentions the potion.

2. Use Liquid Rainbow. Its tooltip reads "The colors swirl and twist in hypnotic patterns."

3. A portal called Whimsyshire opens.

4. Reach the Den of Whimsy under the quest "Sparkling Happiness and Rainbows" and kill Neigh'relle for a hidden title.

Inside you will find Unicorns, Cuddle Bears, Twinkleroot, Happy Clouds, Candy Jars, Armor and Weapon Gifts, and chests named Soup and Resplendent Soup. Two named unicorns also appear: Donut and Lore-ass.

Three Secret Pit Floors

Three special layouts hide inside The Pit:

• PIT_Special_Neigh – Whimsyshire, new this patch

• PIT_Special_OWCSMP – the cow one

• PIT_Special_Fowl – Chi'Khan, The Fowl Beast

All three display as "The Pit" with the ordinary subtitle and a Pit Depth number, so the loading screen gives nothing away. There is no trigger and no tier gate. None of the Pit's 58 map layouts are locked behind a depth requirement. They are simply rare, and you will see ordinary layouts thousands of times before hitting one of these.

6. The Map of the Stars and the Temple of Baaaaaaal

A new quest item called the Map of the Stars sits inside a mystery world. Using it anywhere else prints "You can't use this now, or here."

The world it comes from is named ??? with the line "Like a lamb to the slaughter." It contains two areas that count as one dungeon: the Temple of Baaaaaaal, where the hidden portal lands you, and the Shepherd's Conclave, its arena.

Steps

1. Go to the Dead Forest in the Scosglen Highlands, about 420m from the Tirmair waypoint. Two portals share one coordinate. One is a cellar called The Forlorn Hovel.

2. Inside is a dead sheep and a hidden portal.

3. The hidden portal opens the Temple of Baaaaaaal.

4. Click the corpse named Dead Cultist. It hands you the Map of the Stars.

Where the map is used has not been found. Its use condition is a server variable that the files do not carry.

7. Deckard's Journey, DClone & The Hellfire Torch

These three secrets are all connected. Deckard's Journey is the prerequisite for the Hellfire Torch, and DClone is the Season 15 version of the Diablo 2 event that originally dropped the Annihilus seal, which is the Torch's partner item.

Deckard's Journey (Ten Journal Satchels)

Ten open satchels sit in the open world once the Tarsarak tavern intro is finished. Reading all ten begins Deckard's Journey, and finishing it opens the Deckard's Memory portal in the Imperial Library, which teleports you to the Diablo 1 version of Tristram.

The story follows Deckard Cain across Sanctuary as he traces the writings of his ancestor Jered Cain, meets the Vecin, drinks with Vasily in the Dry Steppes, helps rescue kidnapped children from a Triune cult, and reflects on his loss at a three-faced statue that reads "Behold the truths that lie within." Part 9 only appears in a public game, so swap into public before hunting it.

DClone, the Uber Diablo Ambush

In Diablo 2, Uber Diablo turned up unannounced with the words "Diablo Walks the Earth" and players had a short window to kill him. Season 15 brings the same event to Diablo 4.

The ambush comes from the Soul Splinter you carry. Pledging to one of the three Prime Evils lets your control slip as you play, giving you a buff that reads:

Prime Evil Ambush: Your control over the Soul Splinter is slipping... a Prime Evil Echo will be released soon.

All three Prime Evils can ambush you, but only Diablo has a rare second version called Echo of Uber Diablo. That version is DClone, and it triggers a different message with a countdown:

Diablo Walks the Earth. Diablo will depart in one minute.

Steps:

1. Pledge to Diablo using the Splinter of Terror.

2. Slay Remnants of Terror to earn Flames of Metus, then equip that power.

3. Play the open world with no visible marker or timer.

4. When the warning appears, hold position and fight. If the message reads "Diablo Walks the Earth," you have one minute to kill him.

In Diablo 2, Uber Diablo dropped Annihilus. Nothing in Season 15 confirms what DClone drops, but the name Annihilus appears once in the game text with no source attached.

The Hellfire Torch and Annihilus

Both Annihilus and the Hellfire Torch are new Horadric items in 3.2.1.

The Torch adds one extra unique charm slot. It also rolls per-class affixes that each read "+1 Set count to a named Talisman set," with five options per class, so the Torch can push a set one tier higher.

How to obtain the Hellfire Torch:

1. Kill the three Uber Capstone bosses to collect the Splinters:

• Echo of Diablo in The Labyrinth (Hell) drops Splinter of Terror

• Echo of Baal in Worldstone Keep (Hell) drops Splinter of Destruction

• Echo of Mephisto in Durance of Hate (Hell) drops Splinter of Hatred

2. Combine the three in the Horadric Cube to receive Wirt's Lucky Coins.

3. Complete Deckard's Journey (see above).

4. Head to the fountain in Echo of Tristram and use it.

Warning: if the fountain is Red, do not click it. This is currently bugged and you will lose your coin. Log out and turn off crossplay to reduce the chance of wasting a coin.

Two related achievements exist: The Hunt for the Three requires killing all three Ubers at Torment X or higher, and Soul for a Soul requires killing them while attuned to their Prime Evil Power at Torment X.

A new dungeon affix called Echo of Pindleskin, the Undead Barbarian, rolls on Waking Nightmares and reads: "The Echo of Pindleskin wanders this dungeon, and may drop any item in the game when killed."

8. Hidden Titles Awarded This Season

Season 15 hides several titles behind its secrets:

• A title for defeating Diablo in the seasonal quest.

• A hidden title for defeating the Whimsyshire boss Neigh'relle.

• The title "Divine, Bovine" for slaying Moophisto during the community challenge event.

• A title tied to the "Blessed by the Bait" achievement for killing Mefishto.

9. New Hidden Horadric Cube Recipes

The Horadric Cube receives a massive expansion in 3.2.1 with three categories of hidden recipes: classic Runeword crafting, rune conversions, and miscellaneous item transmutes.

Runeword Crafting

Runewords act as cube recipes to craft gear pieces. The base item must be white or common quality. If you only have a legendary, rare, or magic item, you can strip its affixes in the cube first to convert it to common. The base goes in with the runes, gets consumed, and a separate recipe exists per base type. Using an Ancestral base yields an Ancestral Runeword.

The recipe displays as ??? in the cube until the last rune is added.

Rune Conversion (Season 15 only)

Fourteen rune upgrades are hidden the same way and only function while Season 15 is running. They come in two sets: one from Tir up to Sol, and one from Mal up to Jah. Nothing converts Sol into Mal, so the sets never connect.

Runes below Sol need three of the same rune with no gem. Runes above Sol need two of the same rune plus a matching gem quality.

Miscellaneous Cube Recipes

Season 15 is easily the most secret packed season Diablo 4 has released, with content drawing on every prior Diablo entry. Some items are still open questions: the Foreshanks of the Bovine gloves, the actual use case for the Map of the Stars, the drop table for DClone, and the source of the Annihilus seal. The community is still hunting, and Blizzard has left plenty of breadcrumbs in the game files. Keep an eye on datamining Discords and community trackers as more finds surface through the rest of the season.
