Diablo 4 Season 14 Mythic Tier List - Best Mythic Items in D4 S14

Season 14 completely changes how Mythic Uniques work in Diablo 4. Since every Unique can now be upgraded into a Mythic-quality item, many of the old "Uber Unique" favorites are no longer automatic best-in-slot choices. In this D4 Season 14 mythic tier list, we rank the best mythics for Season of Death Awakening.

Diablo 4 Season 14 Best Mythic - D4 S14 Mythic Tier List

As players dive into Season 14's toughest challenges, including high-tier Pit pushing, Torment farming, Infernal Hordes, and Mythic boss hunting, choosing the right Mythic item has become more important than ever. Some iconic Mythics remain incredibly powerful, while others have fallen far behind newly upgraded class-specific uniques that can now rival or even surpass the old endgame staples. Based on current PTR testing and community theorycrafting, here's how the iconic Mythic Uniques stack up in Diablo 4 Season 14.

S-Tier

Grandfather (Best Overall Mythic)

Grandfather is arguably the biggest winner of Season 14.

• Massive Critical Strike Chance rolls

• Can reach 40%+ Critical Strike Chance with Greater Affixes and Masterworking

• Solves one of the biggest gearing problems after multiple crit nerfs

• Fits into numerous builds beyond traditional Barbarian setups

• Excellent scaling with Mythic upgrades

With Air Perdition losing its Critical Strike Chance and Ring of Starless Skies receiving major nerfs, Grandfather has become one of the strongest sources of crit in the entire game.

Best For: Barbarian, Rogue, Spiritborn, and any crit-based build.

Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander (Eldrin)

One of the strongest utility Mythics available.

• Exceptional cooldown reduction

• Incredible speed farming potential

• Boosts overall efficiency across multiple activities

• Great alternative to Harlequin Crest for certain builds

For players focused on Infernal Hordes, Nightmare Dungeon farming, or speed-running endgame content, Ahavarion remains one of the most valuable Mythics available.

A-Tier

Harlequin Crest (Shako)

Shako remains extremely powerful despite losing its famous damage reduction.

• +6 to all skills (up from +4)

• Excellent offensive scaling

• Works in nearly every class

• Easy plug-and-play power increase

Weaknesses:

• No longer provides its previous damage reduction

• Faces stronger competition from new Mythic-upgraded Uniques

Still one of the safest Mythic investments in Season 14.

Ring of Starless Skies

While heavily nerfed, Starless Skies remains strong.

Strengths:

• Resource cost reduction

• Attack speed

• Universal usefulness

Weaknesses:

• Lost significant Critical Strike Chance

• No longer mandatory for every build

Many builds will still use Starless Skies, but it is no longer the unquestioned best ring in the game.

Sealig's Corroded Signet

Primarily a Barbarian-focused Mythic.

Strengths:

• Strong resource interactions

• Excellent synergy with high-resource-spending builds

• Still used in top-tier Pit pushing setups

Best For:

• Whirlwind Barbarian

• Mighty Throw Barbarian

• Resource-heavy endgame builds

B-Tier

Tyrael's Might

Tyrael's Might remains a solid defensive option.

Pros:

• 20% damage reduction

• Resistance bonuses

• Strong survivability

Cons:

• New Mythic-upgraded class-specific uniques often provide more damage reduction

• Less attractive than before

Still useful, but no longer mandatory.

Doombringer

A respectable defensive Mythic.

Pros:

• Extra survivability

• Good life scaling

• Useful for hardcore players

Cons:

• Offers less offensive value than top-tier options

Shattered Vow

A niche but playable option.

Pros:

• Works well in certain damage-over-time builds

• Benefits from Mythic scaling

Cons:

• Limited build diversity

• Rarely BiS

C-Tier

Andariel's Visage

Season 14 itemization changes have pushed Andariel's into a niche role.

Pros:

• Poison-based interactions

Cons:

• Outclassed by many Mythic-upgraded class uniques

• Doesn't offer enough universal power

Spear of Ahavarion Alternatives

Several older Mythics fall into this category simply because Mythic-upgraded class-specific uniques provide significantly better bonuses.

D-Tier

Air Perdition (Biggest Loser)

Air Perdition has fallen from god-tier to near-bottom tier. Damage multiplier reduced from roughly 80% to 15%. Critical Strike Chance completely removed. Replaced with movement speed-focused stats. The loss of Critical Strike Chance alone makes Air Perdition extremely difficult to justify in most builds.

Shroud of False Death

Another former favorite that struggles in Season 14. Lost its powerful passive bonuses. Death prevention mechanic now requires returning to town to reset. Defensive aspects generally outperform itMost players will salvage it for Sparks rather than equip it.

The biggest takeaway from Diablo 4 Season 14 is that iconic Mythics are no longer automatically the strongest items in the game. Many Mythic-upgraded class uniques now outperform traditional Uber Uniques. However, among the classic Mythics, Grandfather stands above the rest as the new king of Season 14 thanks to its massive Critical Strike Chance potential and unmatched value across multiple builds.
