How to Get & Use Verisium Anvil Currency Items in PoE 2 0.5

June 01, 2026 Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 0.5 Return of the Ancients brings a brand-new crafting and defense system, totally changing early and endgame build strategies. This guide will talk about how to get and use the new currency items used at Verisium Anvil in PoE 2 Runes of Aldur (Verisium, Alloy, Starlit Ores & Crests).

PoE 2 0.5 Verisium Anvil Currency/Items Guide

These new currency items added in the PoE 2 0.5 Runes of Aldur league are used at the Verisium Anvil with no compatibility for other crafting stations. They can be divided into four types: Verisium, Alloys, Starlit Ores, and Verisium Crests. Below we'll list the uses, farming methods and current trending value of each item.

Basic Verisium & Exceptional Verisium

Verisium is the most fundamental currency of the entire Runeforging system. It has a maximum stack size of 1000, supporting large-scale farming and storage. Its core function is adding the Runic Ward defense stat to player armors, and it is the basic consumable for all low-tier runeforging operations. It has the largest circulation and the most stable exchange rate in the 0.5 league economy.

Exceptional Verisium is the advanced upgraded version of basic Verisium. It has a limited maximum stack size of 50, much rarer than regular Verisium. This high-tier currency is dedicated to advanced Runic Ward crafting and high-quality gear modification, delivering stronger attribute effects and being a necessary material for endgame top-tier runeforging builds.

  • Basic Verisium: 956 per 1 Exalted Orb

  • Exceptional Verisium: 3.3 Exalted Orb each

Alloys (13 Items)

Alloy items are rare-item exclusive crafting materials, functioning similarly to Perfect Essences. Each Alloy removes a random existing modifier on a rare item and replaces it with a fixed, powerful build-focused affix. All Alloys have a stack size of 10 and are only unlockable after completing Farrow’s Act 2 quests and clearing Remnant encounters.

Adaptive Alloy: 1.0 Exalted Orb

Celestial Alloy: 2.1 Divine Orb / 119 Exalted Orb

Transcendent Alloy: 1.7 Divine Orb / 93 Exalted Orb

The Runefather's Alloy: 1.6 Divine Orb / 87 Exalted Orb

The Runebinder's Alloy: 2.5 Divine Orb/140 Exalted Orb

Mystic Alloy: 2.3 Exalted Orb

Prismatic Alloy: 2.5 Exalted Orb

Expansive Alloy: 1.0 Exalted Orb

Cyclonic Alloy: 1.3 Exalted Orb

Sovereign Alloy: 4.7 Exalted Orb

Runic Alloy: 1.0 Exalted Orb

Protective Alloy: 1.4 Exalted Orb

Starlit Ores

Starlit Ores are special unique crafting ores under the Verisium Category. This series of rare currencies is exclusively used to forge new unique items at the Verisium Anvil, serving as the core material for customized endgame unique gear production, with extremely low drop rates and high economic value.

Revered Starlit Ore: 40 Exalted Orb

Warding Starlit Ore: 26 Exalted Orb

Veridical Starlit Ore: 26 Exalted Orb

Venerable Starlit Ore: 9.6 Exalted Orb

Verisium Crests

Verisium Crests are high-end unique upgrade currencies. Their core function is upgrading low-level unique items (item level < 55) to meet endgame combat standards, greatly improving the base attributes and competitiveness of early unique gears in high-level content.

Olroth's Crest of the Sun: 2.1 Divine Orb / 120 Exalted Orb

Uhtred's Crest of the Chalice: 4.6 Exalted Orb

Vorana's Crest of the Scythe: 1.4 Exalted Orb

Medved's Crest of the Circle: 1.0 Exalted Orb

How to Get Verisium in PoE 2 0.5?

Verisium is mainly obtained through league-specific Remnant content, with multiple reliable farming methods suitable for different game stages:

  • First, the most basic farming source is monster drops from Remnant encounters. All monsters spawned by activated Runic Remnants have a chance to drop raw Verisium. The difficulty of Remnant encounters scales with the number of rune combinations players choose before triggering the fight. More complex rune combinations summon stronger enemies but greatly increase the quantity and drop rate of Verisium.

  • Second, completing the new NPC Farrow’s campaign quests is a fixed way to obtain early Verisium. Farrow has 4 exclusive campaign quests spread across Acts 1 to 4. These quests reward a large amount of initial Verisium and unlock corresponding crafting systems step by step, which is the main source of Verisium for new players in the early campaign stage.

How to Use Verisium in PoE 2 0.5?

Verisium’s core function is supporting the Verisium Runeforging system, which is unlocked in Act 1 after activating the Verisium Anvil. This system only works on armor and unique equipment, and different equipment levels have different crafting rules and trade-offs.

  • For ordinary armors below level 55, using Verisium for Runeforging adds the brand-new Runic Ward defense stat withno negative side effects. This is the best early-game way to improve character survival, allowing players to gain an extra layer of defense without losing any base attributes.

  • For armors above level 55, Runeforging requires a trade-off. Players will spend Verisium to add Runic Ward, but the equipment’s original base defense values (such as armor and evasion) will be reduced. The higher the equipment level, the more base defense is consumed to gain Runic Ward.

  • After unlocking the Act 3 Unique Verisium Runeforging feature, players can upgrade low-level (below level 55) unique weapons and armors. Upgraded unique weapons get higher base damage, while unique armors gain increased base defenses and permanent Runic Ward, making low-level unique gears viable for high-level endgame content. High-level (above level 55) unique armors can also be reforged to add Runic Ward, still at the cost of reduced base defenses.

Notably, Unique Verisium Runeforging has exclusive bonus effects when used on Kalguuran Unique equipment, providing extra attribute boosts that ordinary unique gears cannot obtain, making Kalguuran Uniques the best choice for runeforging builds.

How to Get Alloy Currency in PoE 2 0.5?

Alloy currency items can be unlocked and crafted after completing NPC Farrow’s Act 2 quests and clearing Remnant encounters. All Alloys are stackable and tradable. Players can farm excess Alloys via Remnant encounters or trade them with other players for needed crafting currencies.

How to Use Alloy Currency in PoE 2 0.5?

First, Alloys only work on rare equipment, not normal, magic, or unique items. When using any Alloy, the system will randomly remove one existing modifier on the target rare item and replace it with the fixed exclusive modifier corresponding to that Alloy. This mechanism is exactly like Perfect Essences, allowing players to precisely add key build attributes to rare gears. Different Alloys target different gear slots and build types. Players need to match the correct Alloy according to their build needs: use Runic Alloy for Runic Ward builds, Mystic Alloy for spell casters, Imbued Alloy for physical attack builds, and Swift Alloy for speed-focused builds. Since each Alloy replaces a random modifier, it is recommended to use Alloys on low-modifier rare bases to avoid losing high-value original attributes.

  • Expansive Alloy: Grants exclusive bonuses for different gear slots. Gloves extend Remnant collection range by 40-50%; Body Armour increases Presence Area of Effect by 40-50%; Helmets raise Mana Cost Efficiency by 15-20%; Boots add +1 temporary minion summon limit.

  • Imbued Alloy: Focuses on martial weapon enhancement. It gives martial weapons a 15-20% increased chance to inflict elemental and physical ailments, perfect for attack-based build characters.

  • Mystic Alloy: Tailored for caster builds. Caster weapons gain +1 maximum Elemental Infusion; Helmets boost spell Area of Effect by 10-15%; Gloves increase attack Area of Effect by 10-15%; Quivers have a 25-35% extra chain chance; Boots add 10-15 Spirit.

  • Runic Alloy: Specializes in Runic Ward stat improvement. Rings gain +25-30 maximum Runic Ward; Amulets increase maximum Runic Ward by 6-10%, ideal for builds that rely on the new Runic Ward defense.

  • Swift Alloy: Improves speed and flask performance. Gloves gain 8-10% cast speed; Rings get 7-9% attack speed; Belts generate 0.75-1.25 flask charges per second; Shields and Focus items raise totem placement speed by 25-50%.

  • The Runebinder's Alloy: Staves grant a 25-50% chance to gain Nature's Archon when your Plants Overgrow; Wands add +1 limit for Elemental Skills; Sceptres increase maximum Puppet Master stacks by 4-5; Crossbows add +2 maximum Summoned Ballista Totems; Bows boost Mark Skill effect by 40-50%.

  • The Runefather's Alloy: Maces grant a 60-75% chance for skills to retain 40% of Glory on use; Quarterstaffs let Tempest Bells withstand an additional 4-5 hits before destruction; Spears increase weapon range by 8-10; Talismans make hit Lightning Damage contribute to Flammability and Ignite Magnitudes.

  • Celestial Alloy: Caster Weapons (Staff, Wand) add 142-188 maximum Mana and +1 level to all Spell Skills; Martial Weapons grant 327-427 additional Accuracy Rating and 5-8% increased Attack Speed.

  • Transcendent Alloy: Caster Offhand & Weapons (Focus, Staff, Wand) gain 39-47% increased Cast Speed and convert 11-16% of Elemental Damage into extra Cold Damage; Martial Weapons receive 15-20% increased Physical Damage and 7-10 bonus to all Attributes.

  • Sovereign Alloy: All Weapons boost the effect of Socketed Augment Items by 20-30%; Armour increases Runic Ward by 24-30%; Jewellery and Belts amplify Explicit Resistance Modifier magnitudes by 20-30%.

  • Prismatic Alloy: Gloves grant 9-15% Elemental Resistance penetration for damage; Martial Weapons boost the magnitude of inflicted ailments by 20-30%; Caster Weapons (Focus, Staff, Wand) increase Exposure Effect by 40-50%; Sceptres raise the magnitude of minions' damaging ailments by 40-49%.

  • Cyclonic Alloy: Body Armour reduces the slowing potency of debuffs affecting you by 15-30%; Boots increase Skill Effect Duration by 15-19%; Gloves extend the duration of damaging ailments applied to enemies by 20-25%; Helmets boost Archon Buff duration by 35-42%.

  • Protective Alloy: Belts recover 32-45 Runic Ward upon using a Charm; all Weapons add 51-74 maximum Runic Ward; Shields restore 10-15 Runic Ward when performing a block.
