Best Ways to Farm Mythic Unique Items & Gold in Diablo 4 Season 10

Diablo IV Season of Infernal Chaos is officially launching on September 23 or 24 for different time zones. If you are going to play this season from the start and want to get more powerful loot, this guide introduces the main and best way to farm Mythic unique items in D4 Season 10.

Diablo 4 Season 10 Mythic Uniques, Loot & Gold Farm

In Season 10 of Diablo IV, because of the patch fix, a new guaranteed way to farm Mythic unique items that you should not miss is Mythic Chaos Rifts. The major methods in previous seasons, like Lair bosses and Spark farming, are still solid. 

1. Lair Bosses

The primary and most common way to farm Mythic unique items is by repeatedly farming specific Greater Lair bosses and their chests, which have a notably higher chance to drop these items. Among these, Duriel (King of Maggots), Andariel (Maiden of Anguish), and the Harbinger of Death (Vessel of Hatred) are particularly prized targets because they have better drop rates for Mythic Uniques compared to other bosses. Another exceptional boss to farm is Belial, an Exalted Lair boss, who not only has the highest Mythic Unique drop chance but also allows players to choose the loot pool from bosses like Duriel, Andariel, or Harbinger of Hatred, effectively letting you target your preferred drops. To farm these powerful bosses, you must access Torment difficulty or higher, as Greater Lair bosses cannot be summoned below this level. You also need to collect specific Lair Boss Keys to unlock the treasure hoard after defeating each boss. These keys are crafted from materials dropped by Initiate Lair bosses. Once you have collected the required keys and materials, proceed to the dungeon corresponding to the Greater Lair boss you want to defeat. Clear the dungeon until you reach the altar room, where you can summon the boss. Note that the keys are not consumed upon summoning but only when you open the loot hoard after defeating the boss.

The drop rate of Mythic Uniques when farming endgame bosses is low, approximately only 2%, especially Greater Lair bosses on Torment difficulty or higher. To efficiently farm Mythic drops, you can join a reliable online group that can kill Belial quickly, ideally within a few seconds, but up to 10 seconds is acceptable, while avoiding groups where kills drag on or players frequently die, as this slows down farming. Make sure to bring your own materials and have at least one player with strong DPS to ensure fast boss kills. Focus on farming the Betrayer’s Husk keys dropped by these bosses, then repeatedly open the chests for a chance at Mythic items. Unwanted items can be sold for gold, which you can use to purchase the necessary Lair boss keys on trade sites. Since Mythic drop rates are low, around 1-2%, be prepared to invest hundreds of runs to obtain the desired items.

2. Spark Farming

If you’re tired of grinding Lair bosses with low drop rates and want to farm Resplendent Sparks, which are the key material for crafting Mythic Uniques, here’s the smart way to do it:

Step 1: Create a New Seasonal Character

Make a new seasonal character of the same class as your main to easily transfer gear and builds later. Complete the intro seasonal quest to unlock the S10 Reputation Board.

Step 2: Power-Level to Level 60 Quickly

• Option A: Friend Carry

Ask a friend or choose our D4 boosting service to power-level your new character by running high-tier Pit levels while you stand at the entrance. This fast leveling usually takes about 20 minutes.

• Option B: Solo Leveling (Longer)

If you don’t have friends to help or don’t want to purchase a service, farm Whisper Caches on your main character, transfer them to your new character, and open them to gain large chunks of experience. Then grind strongholds, Helltides, and Nightmare Dungeons, focusing on Whisper Bounties to reach level 60. This process may take around 4 hours or more.

Step 3: Max Out the Reputation Board via Infernal Horde

Once level 60, your goal is to earn seasonal reputation and try to reach the final rank to get the rewards. The last rank of the seasonal reputation board usually contains a Resplendent Spark. Farming Infernal Hordes is recommended because this mode spawns many elites and Hellborne enemies, which are perfect for rep grinding. Use Offerings that increase elite spawns and faster enemy kills to speed up runs. You’ll need to run about 5 to 8 waves of Infernal Horde multiple times, usually totaling around 2 hours or less. You can join other players’ Infernal Horde runs via group finder if you don’t have your own group.

Infernal Hordes is also a fantastic way to farm gold in Diablo 4 Season 10 because you collect Burning Aether during waves of enemies, which you can exchange for rewards. One valuable reward is Spoils of Gold, which can be used to convert leftover Aether directly into gold. The difficulty scales with your world level, so you can adjust it to match your power. Besides gold, you can also get rare weapons and gear, which can be sold or salvaged for extra income.

Step 4: Claim Your Spark and Craft Mythics

After maxing the Reputation Board, claim your Resplendent Cache, which rewards Sparks. Two Sparks can be used to craft a random Mythic Unique item. For a specific Mythic, you’ll also need specific Runes.

Step 5: Getting Specific Runes

You can either trade runes with other players or farm them by running Kurast Undercity using Tribute of Harmony to increase rune drops. You can also reforge runes with a chance to upgrade them.

• Random Mythic Crafting:

At the Blacksmith’s forge, spend 50 million gold and 2 sparks to craft a random Mythic item that can drop for your class. 

• Targeted Mythic Crafting:

At the Jeweler, use 2 sparks + multiple specific legendary runes + 5,000 gold to craft a specific Mythic unique you want. Farming legendary runes is best done by running Exalted Lair Bosses repeatedly and running the Tribute of Harmony dungeon, which has been buffed this season to increase rune drops.

3. Chaos Rifts

Chaos Rifts are the centerpiece of Diablo 4 Season 10 and a great way to farm top-tier Mythic unique items. These special rifts appear during Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons and come in several rarity levels: Magic, Rare, and the extremely rare Mythic Chaos Rifts. The Mythic Chaos Rifts are the most valuable because they now guarantee a Mythic item drop every time you complete one, a change introduced in the latest Season 10 patch.

Previously, even if you completed a Mythic Chaos Rift, there was no certainty that you would get a Mythic item. This was frustrating because these rifts are very rare encounters and should feel rewarding. Now, with the fix in place, every Mythic Chaos Rift rewards you with at least one Mythic item. This update means that Mythic Chaos Rifts are no longer just rare events; they are worth hunting down whenever you come across them. 

How to Effectively Farm Mythic Chaos Rifts

• Play on Torment Difficulty: Mythic Chaos Rifts only spawn at Torment difficulty. Make sure you are playing at this level to have a chance at encountering them.

• Focus on Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons: These areas are where Chaos Rifts naturally appear. Explore them thoroughly and be on the lookout for rifts of all rarities.

• Prioritize Mythic Rifts: When you find a Chaos Rift, check its rarity. If it’s Mythic, it’s your top priority because completing it guarantees a Mythic item drop.

• Complete the Rift Quickly and Efficiently: These rifts are challenging, but completing them rewards you with valuable loot, experience points, and seasonal currency called Infernal Warp, which helps you level up Chaos Perks.
