No.1 SoD 40 Level PvP Tier List

S Tier

  • Priest

Their strong single target heals through Flash Heal and Greater Heal allow them to out-duel opponents through effective healing in 1v1s. Their multi-dotting abilities via Shadow Word: Pain and Vampiric Touch also contribute good sustained damage over time. The high mobility granted by Spiritual Healing further enhances their survival potential in all situations. Priests are simply too difficult to kill due to their healing prowess, while still threatening damage, making them the best Season of Discovery PvP class that dominants across 1v1, small group, and large group PvP.

  • Hunter

Hunters are one of the best PvP class in SoD Phase 2. Their abilities to effectively control targets and output high burst damage from ranges like Arcane Shot and Multi-Shot allow Hunters to handily defeat cloth-wearing classes. The pet serves as an extra tank to draw attention in fights, enabling Hunters' damage-dealing uptime. abilities like Intimidation from pets also increase control options. Hunters' high mobility from aspects like Aspect of the Cheetah and Disengage grants strong kiting and escape potential. These factors fuel Hunters' strengths in small scrimishes and battlegrounds where they can leverage their ranged damage and pet utility to great effect.

  • Warlock

Warlocks have strong self-sustain through Life Tap to fuel their hard-hitting spell casts. Damage-over-time spells like Corruption and Immolate apply constant pressure, while Shadowbolt and Drain Life deal bursty threat respectively. While debated placement, Warlocks are still assessed as dueling threats through damage potential aided by self-healing. In small groups, they provide utility through Fear and Healthstones that augment allies despite risk as cloth. Their damage sustains impact even in mass PvP despite vulnerability. Overall, they’re the WoW Season of Discovery best PvP class.

A Tier

  • Paladin

With access to Divine Shield, Paladins can effectively trade heals with opponents, prolonging 1v1 duels through hard survivability counters. Plate armor amplifies their endurance in group settings as well. Control abilities like Hammer of Justice let them dictate the pace of fights. Overall tanky damage yields strength in 1v1s and staying power in skirmishes.

  • Druid

Balance Affinity allows Wrath to deal heavy spell damage in duels. Shapeshifting grants burst potential through powershifting that can overwhelm foes. Flight Form and Travel Form enhance world PvP mobility to pick engagements. While placement debated due to strong dueling, risk remains as non-Plate.

  • Rogue

Stealth enables open-world pickiness in initiation and disengagement, strengthening Rogues in solo PvP. Ability to Sap opponents adds control options. Damage potential from combo points poses risks, especially to casters. However, reliance on stealth hinders scaling to large battles.

  • Shaman

Assessed to duel capably through nature damage potential and self-healing. Utility aids allies in small fights through buffs and CC. While less experienced, burst multi-dotting praised situationally with agile play.

B Tier

  • Mage

Strong control and spell versatility yields damage threats. However, cloth armor leaves no room for mistakes, restricting potential against skilled opponents seeking to isolate and destroy them. Pre-made composition and support can alleviate such counters.

  • Warrior

Melee means struggles in solo play when outnumbered. Tankiness blooms when supported by healers to bolster damage dealing in coordinated small groups. Some weaknesses exist before scaling and talent adjustments later on.
