9/1/2023 6:02:11 AM

With this updated Diablo 4 1.1.3 Tier List, we break down the changes coming in the patch on September 1st, and figure out the best class and builds for Season 1 in the current meta situation!

Diablo 4 1.1.3 Class Changes

Diablo 4 patch 1.1.3 is a major update that will be released next week, on September 1. The patch notes were revealed yesterday, on August 25. The patch will bring significant changes to the game, such as: Reducing the crowd control effects of monster abilities and Elite Affixes, such as stuns, freezes, knockbacks, and slows. This will give players more recovery time and make combat more dynamic and engaging. Improving the item comparison system by adding a new button that shows the differences between two items in terms of stats, affixes, and sockets. This will make it easier to decide which item to equip or salvage. Fixing various bugs that affect quest progression, such as missing NPCs, incorrect dialogue options, and inaccessible areas. This will restore the gameplay integrity and prevent players from getting stuck or missing out on rewards.

D4 1.1.3 Tier List - Best Class & Builds For Season 1 Endgame

Bearing the above changes in mind, we now update the Diablo 4 1.1.3 Tier List to help you figure out the best class and builds for the endgame of Season 1:

1 - Druid: Shred & Pulverize build (S Tier)

Druid with the Shred or Pulverize build, which uses the skills Shred, Feral Strike, Werewolf Form, Cyclone Armor, Tornado or Maul, Pulverize, Werebear Form, Earthquake, and Hurricane. These builds are very tanky, and versatile, and have high damage output with the synergies between the skills and the affixes that boost elemental damage.

The Shred Druid is a melee build that focuses on Shred and its synergies with poison damage and Feral Strike. It uses Shred, Feral Strike, Werewolf Form, Cyclone Armor, and Tornado as skills, and focuses on affixes that boost poison damage, critical hit chance and damage, and attack speed.

The Pulverize Druid is a tanky build that relies on Pulverize and its synergies with Maul and Earthquake. It uses Maul, Pulverize, Werebear Form, Earthquake, and Hurricane as skills, and focuses on affixes that boost elemental damage, cooldown reduction, and defense.

2 - Rogue: Death Trap & Barrage build (S Tier)

Rogue with the Death Trap or Barrage build, which uses the skills Shadow Step, Fan of Knives, Smoke Screen, Death Trap, Impale or Strafe, Barrage, Smoke Screen, Shadow Power, and Rain of Vengeance. These builds are very mobile, and stealthy, and have high burst damage with the affixes that increase critical hit chance and damage.

The Barrage Rogue is a hybrid build that can adjust the distance to deal massive AoE or single-target damage with Barrage. It uses Shadow Step, Fan of Knives, Smoke Screen, Shadow Power and Barrage as skills, and focuses on affixes that increase critical hit chance and damage, as well as attack speed and cooldown reduction.

The Death Trap Rogue is a trap-focused build that combines extraordinary crowd control, utility, and raw power with Death Trap and Poison Trap. It uses Shadow Step, Fan of Knives, Smoke Screen, Death Trap and Impale as skills, and focuses on affixes that increase trap damage, duration, and radius, as well as critical hit chance and damage.

3 - Sorcerer: Blizzard or Arc Lash Build (A Tier)

The Sorcerer class is stronger for endgame in Diablo 4 patch 1.1.3, especially after a small but significant change to the Caged Heart of The Barber that buffed the Sorcerer and Necromancer classes. This heart allows you to deal more damage with your skills based on the number of enemies affected by your crowd control effects.

One of the best endgame builds for the Sorcerer is the Blizzard build4, which uses the Cold spell Blizzard and the Glacial Aspect to freeze and shatter enemies with ice spikes.

The Arc Lash Sorcerer is a melee-oriented build that focuses on Arc Lash and its synergies with other skills and items. It uses Arc Lash, Static Field, Teleport, Energy Shield and Chain Lightning as skills, and focuses on affixes that reduce cooldowns and increase lightning damage, as well as critical hit chance and damage.

4 - Necromancer: Bone Spear & Blood Surge Build (B Tier)

The patch fixed some issues with the Necromancer character selection screen1 and buffed some of its skills, such as Bone Spirit and Death Nova. Some popular endgame builds for the Necromancer are the Bone Spirit build and the Infinimist build.

The best endgame build for Necromancer after the 1.1.3 patch is the Bone Spear Necromancer. This build focuses on Bone Spear and its synergies with critical strike chance, shadow damage, and vulnerability. It uses Bone Spear, Corpse Explosion, Bone Armor, Bone Prison, and Blood Nova as skills, and focuses on affixes that boost critical hit damage, shadow damage, and essence regeneration.

The Infinimist build is based on using Blood Mist to explode corpses and deal damage over time to enemies. It also uses Death Nova to generate more corpses and Bone Armor to increase survivability. It's a very tanky and powerful build that can push high Nightmare Dungeons.

5 - Barbarian: Whirlwind & Double Swing Build (B Tier)

The Barbarian class is not very strong for leveling in Diablo 4 patch 1.1.3, but it has some viable endgame builds, such as the Double Swing build and the Whirlwind Bleed build. These builds use powerful skills and aspects to deal damage and survive in Nightmare Dungeons. The patch also fixed some bugs and glitches that affected the Barbarian class, such as the UI and the Malignant mobs.

The best endgame build for Barbarian after the 1.1.2 patch is the Double Swing Barbarian. This build focuses on Double Swing and its synergies with critical strike damage, physical damage, and attack speed. It uses Double Swing, Lunging Strike, Rallying Cry, War Cry, and Steel Grasp as skills, and focuses on affixes that boost critical hit damage, physical damage, and cooldown reduction2.

Barbarian with the Whirlwind build, which uses the skills Bash, Whirlwind, Leap, Battle Rage, and Wrath of the Berserker. This build is very mobile, durable, and has high sustained damage with the affixes that increase attack speed and physical damage.
