3/17/2023 4:22:58 PM

WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.0.7 is right around the Horizon, it's next Tuesday, it's got a lot of class changes, going into it, and we wanted to give a breakdown of the predictions on where these specializations are going to end up in terms of power.

S Tier

  • Subtlety Rogue

Subtlety Rogue probably still going to be one of the best specializations in the game.

  • Retribution Paladin

It's becoming a PVP Talent into a normal talent, and we don't think it's unpurgical as a normal Talent, so your mobility actually probably went down, you're getting a lot of like leech healing and self-sustain which could be nice for you and some damage mitigation.

  • Assassination Rogue

  • Arms Warrior

  • Destro Warlock

  • Beast Mastery Hunter

It's going to be getting a damage buff to offset some of the bow changes which is going to hit some of your really important spells, and this spec is just doing so much damage, just absolutely destroying people in PvP.

  • Marksmanship Hunter

If warlocks start popping up more, because there were some changes to warlocks, Hunters are really good in that scenario.

  • Disciplined Priest

When it comes to solo shuffle, especially when it comes to Rogue Mage, those compositions can be great, and it pairs up really well with hunters and rep paladins.

  • MistWeaver Monk

A Tier

  • Havoc Demon Hunter

You're getting some quality of life changes, but you're actually receiving a Nerf that maybe you've missed on the notes is that reverse magic is now going to bring in the negative consequences of dispelling things, so if you reverse magic and unstable Affliction, you will take the hit, and the silence effect if you dispel a flame shock with reverse magic same deal here if they've got the spell protection moonkins now also have dispel protection.

  • Holy Death Knight

It's going to be on average better than Frost, just in more situation, it's going to be more versed, it's definitely a higher age here than that of the Frost death Knights, it's getting a couple of tweaks on his talents, maybe there's possibilities for some death coil builds to start popping up here in 10.0.7, so not really any big changes here for Unholy death knight, just still a solid well-rounded pick for PVP.

  • Windwalker Monk

There definitely really competitive got a lot of variety in terms of compositions still dependent on hitting your cooldowns and hitting your damage during those windows, maybe that changes in the future patch, but we are talking about 10.0.7 here.

  • Feral Druids

We think is low-key very underrated composition really durable a lot of damage from both of those specializations, and I do believe that this is the patch where you're going to be getting a little bit more damage outside of your Incarnation window which would really help you in those compositions where you're looking for sustained pressure.

  • Survival Hunter

It's got limitations in how many comps it can play, but we've seen it succeeding with relative success.

  • Elemental Shaman

  • Balanced Druid

It's really well-rounded, still really big weaknesses to Rogue, similar to that of demon hunters and pretty much every spec in the game, but with the spell protection now on your Stellar flare, it should add a little bit of a punishment to healers that know how to dispel against your incarnation burst, still just really well-rounded, defensively, it can be a bit fragile it's going to be a much higher skill cap of a specialization to succeed on, you're not just going to be face rolling around and doing well with the balance Druid.

  • Shadow Priest

  • Demonology Warlock

  • Frost Death Knight

It's getting a couple of little tweaks to it, the breath of Cinder Gosa build specifically, but we think this is likely going to be having more impact in PVE than PVP for it, but you may want to take a glance, and at least maybe even give it an opportunity for some breadth of cindergosa builds in PvP, you're going to be a bit more of a niche specialization, compared to Unholy which is going to be more well-rounded.

  • Arcane Mage

Spam spell steel still really good, here is a counter to a lot of healers and getting you procs and getting you damaged out.

  • Preservation Evoker

Preservation Evoker are subtlety Rogues surviving against them, and honestly, your Mana, your Mana is is a bit worse than a lot of other healers and organize this based on melee and ranged.

  • Holy Paladin

We think with the Nerfs to Druid that are going through on their talent tree changes that it's likely going to be a decent healer.

B Tier

  • Affliction Warlock

  • Fire Mage

It's doing a lot of sustain damage overall, it's a little bit tougher to succeed on.

  • Devastation Evoker

This is a specialization that's just like really hit or miss you either run in and one shot someone with 300 000 damage or you're doing nothing you're useless and you die, so it's complete coin flip class, so if you want to pick a class or you're just rolling the dice flipping a coin and hoping the results go in your favor, you can pick it.

  • Holy Priest

  • Restoration Shaman

  • Resto Druid

It's getting a lot of changes to the point where you're not going to be able to get a lot of the powerful talents that you have at the moment all at the same time, they're going to be split up, it's a very dangerous pick to say the least.

  • Outlaw Rogue

  • Fury Warrior

D Tier

  • Brewmaster Monk
