WoW Classic TBC Phase 3 Warlock BIS & T6 Gear Guide - Gems, Tier 6 Sets, Weapons, & Armors

1/19/2022 6:23:27 PM

In this WoW Classic TBC Phase 3 Warlock gearing guide, we will break down what options we have in Tier 6 and what is the best in slot gears for warlock, so you can get some guidelines.

Gems

  • Main Gems: Great Lionseye, Veiled Pyrestone, Runed Crimson

  • Seed Set Gems: Gleaming Linseye, Potent Pyrestone

  • Blue Socket: Glowing Shadowsong Amethyst

With Phase 3 launch brings in some new gems to WoW Classic TBC. We don't get a new meta gem but that's okay because our meta gem is overpowered anyway, but we get a bunch of new epic gems and we can put in the other slots. At first glance, it might not seem like they're big upgrades but combine them with all your other gems and it's actually a huge upgrade.

Tier 6 Set

  • Head: Hood of the Malefic

  • Hands: Gloves of the Malefic

  • Legs: Leggings of the Malefic

  • Shoulder: Mantle of the Malefic

The four-piece increases the damage dealt by your shadow bolt and incinerate abilities by six percent that is huge, the napkin math on that is about 120 to 130 spell power is a big deal. Another new thing that comes with this is we have eight pieces of Tier in here right instead of the five, so you have hood gloves, legging legs, and mantle, these are actually the four piece that you will be wearing.

Heads

  • Cowl of the Illidari High

  • Hood of the Malefic

We actually have two really good headpieces that drop from here: Cowl of the Illidari High is you know a meta helm, and a blue socket with hit crit and spell power. On both of these, obviously, Cowl of the Illidari High looks a little bit better because it has the crit. However, you're going to want to connect that four Tier 6 Malefic set, which is why you're going to end up wearing Hood of the Malefic. And not only to connect the four-set but also because the headpiece is what connects and what gives you the wing animation too.

Necks

  • Translucent Spellthread Necklace

  • Hellfire-Encased Pendant

In phase 2, most of us have The Sun King's Talisman and to be honest, it's not that bad of a neck, however, we do have an upgrade in Phase and it might not be a drastic upgrade but five sell power and swap with the hit rating. Fired up destro for you pumpers, you also get an upgrade here which is Hellfire-Encased Pendant with 51 fire damage and 24k rating, so we get solid necklaces here.

Shoulders

  • Mantle of Nimble Thought

  • Mantle of the Malefic

There are actually four new shoulders in Phase 3 but these are the two big ones. We have antle of the Malefic which is actually a pattern trash drop in Mount Hydro for tailors and it's actually our first piece of gear with static haste on it. The other one is the T6 shoulders which is Mantle of the Malefic, it has two gems socketed, +21 spell hit rating, +13 sepll critical strike rating and +46 magical spells and effects.

Cloaks

  • Cloak of the Illidari Council

  • Nethervoid Cloak

  • Shroud of the Highborne

The Nethervoid Cloak is a solid cloak with +18 sepll hit rating, +53 spell damage. And of course, the other one is going to be a Cloak of the Illidari Council which has +25 sepll critical strike rating and +42 spell power, but it is going to be very hard to get. We also have Shroud of the Highborne - it's a healer cloak that has a +32 spell haste rating and +23 spell power, but what's important is that 32 haste rating that's actually going to most likely be our abyss.

Chest

  • Vestments of the Sea-Witch

  • Robe of the Malefic

  • Robes of Rhonin

Chess could probably be the most boring part of unless you could get a Vestments of the Sea-Witch vestments, you want to use it over T6 Robe of the Malefic because of its great stats (+27 spell hit rating, +31 spell critical strike rating, up to 57 magical spells and effects). So you're going to want to wear Vestments of the Sea-Witch, if you don't have vestments then obviously you can wear T6 Robe of the Malefic and that will let you use Mantle of Nimble Thought.

Bracers

  • Bracers of Nimble Thought

  • Cuffs of Devastation

  • Focused Mana Bindings

Bracers of Nimble Thought is going to be your best bracers to use in Phase with +28 spell haste rating and up to 34 magical spell power. You're going to want other ones coming up are Cuffs of Devastation with yellow socket and Focused Mana Bindings with up to 42 spell power.

Gloves

  • Gloves of the Malefic

The T6 gloves come with up to 46 spell power, 19 spell critical strike rating, 11 spell hit rating and yellow socket could be your best choice for hand in Phase 3.

Belts

  • Waistwrap of Infinity

  • Anetheron's Noose

Obviously right now a lot of a large majority of us will be wearing Belt of Blasting in Phase 2, while we get belts to upgrade in Phase 3, the first one being from Supremas and Black Temples called the Waistwrap of Infinity with 32 spell haste rating and 56 spell power,  and the other belt which is actually going to be this is Anetheron's Noose with the 55 spell power, 24 spell critical strike rating and two sockets. The haste is nice but to be honest that two sockets which you being able to put two twelves in there, twenty-four more spell power on top of that is just going to win it out.

Legs

  • Leggings of the Malefic

  • Leggings of Channeled Elements

  • Leggings of Devastation

We get some good legs in Phase 3. Leggings of Devastationactually aren't that good but not bad with 60 spell power, 26 hit rating, and three sockets, the thing is we just don't really need hit right now. Leggings of Channeled Elements are extremely good with three sockets, 18 hit, 34 crit and 59 spell power. Leggings of the Malefic obviously are going to be your last connecting piece for your T6 right and if you look at stats-wise, they have better stats than Leggings of Channeled Elements but you have two extra gems.

Boots

  • Slippers of the Seacaller

Slippers of the Seacaller is going to blow your mind when you compare it with the Boots of Blasting in Phase 2 and Frozen Shadoweave Boots in Phase 1, though it has two sockets, its stats are not so good. If you're going to try to be replacing out of these boots with two sockets, 29 crate rating, 44 spell power, you can get them from the first boss of Black Temple.

Rings

  • Band of the Eternal Sage

  • Ring of Captured Storms

  • Ring of Ancient Knowledge

Band of the Eternal Sage is the final form Super Saiyan mode ring with 24 crit, 34 spell power, and your offensive spells have a chance on hit to increase your spell damage by 95 for 10 seconds, so that's a really good ring. You also can get Ring of Captured Storms from the first boss in Black Temple, which has 19 spell hit rating, 29 critcal strike rating and major 42 spell power. Ring of Ancient Knowledge drops off a trash has 31 haste and 39 spell power, it is absolutely best in slot and we hope you get it right away. If you're one of those warlocks who is not consistently in the group then obviously you might want to you need to take a wink with Ring of Captured Storms.

Trinkets

  • The Skull of Gul'dan

  • Darkmoon Card: Crusade

The Skull of Gul'dan with a 25 hit rating, 55 spell damage, on use tap into the power of the skull increasing spell haste by 175 for 20 seconds, this is the best in slot trinket for warlocks. Darkmoon Card: Crusade with the stat that each time you deal damage you get eight attack power (it stacks up 80 spell power), that means a fight starts you put my curse up and then you spam shadow bolts that are one curse nine shadow bolts, later you have 80 spell power permanently up there until it falls off for every 10 seconds, you need to be able to refresh it with abilities.

Weapons

  • Zhar'doom, Greatstaff of the Devourer

  • Tempest of Chaos

  • Vengeful Gladiator's Spellblade

It's time for you to get rid of Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian, we would say you should probably use it for the four-tier six and then swap out of it early or later and maybe a raid leader can reward you with Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian. Comes with 36 spell critical strike rating, 55 spell haste rating and up to 259 spell power, Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian is a staff meaning you can only have a two hander not a main hand and an offhand which typically beats out all the staffs. We don't need the hit from the offhand and the Tempest of Chaos, but the haste is huge. If you don't get either of those, you need to go get the arena one,  Vengeful Gladiator's Spellblade is the arena version with 247 spell power, 17 hit not as good as the other ones.

Offhands

  • Chronicle of Dark Secrets

  • Blind-Seers Icon

On the offhand at this point, you're wearing Fathomstone unless you're fired, you could you replace it with Chronicle of Dark Secrets but not with Blind-Seers Icon. We listed Blind-Seers Icon here because it does drop in T6, but it is actually trash. However, the Chronicle of Dark Secrets with 17 spell hit rating, 23 spell critcial strike, 42 spell power could be your best offhand to get in Phase 3.
