AION 2 Best Spiritmaster (Summoner) PvE & PvP Builds (Skills, Daevanion, Macro)

Spiritmaster is the newest class to arrive on AION 2 Global, and it brings one of the most unique playstyles in the game. Instead of attacking directly, you command elemental spirits to fight for you, feeding a resource system that fuels your biggest nuke. This guide covers everything you need to run a strong Spiritmaster from leveling to endgame, including skills, stigmas, macro setup, Daevanion board priorities, and separate PvE and PvP builds pulled from the setup Korean players already locked in after 10 and a half months of patches.

AION 2 Global Best Spiritmaster (Summoner) Builds, Skills, Macro, Daevanion Guide (PvE & PvP)

Spiritmaster, known internally in the game files as Elementalist, sits first or second on nearly every end-game boss board on the Korean servers, trading places with the Sorcerer. On the hardest boss of the current season, it ranks second at around 835,000 on the top 25% column, and on the Fire Temple trial boss it ranks first. Almost all of that damage runs from two held mouse buttons through the in-game macro that NCSoft built directly into the client. With Global launching four stigma slots instead of six, the setup differs from Korea and Taiwan, but the class remains one of the strongest DPS picks available. With the overall picture clear, let's move into how the class actually works before building out PvE and PvP setups.

1. Spiritmaster Class & Playstyle

Spiritmaster plays as a pet-based ranged caster that commands up to two spirits at once: one normal elemental spirit (Fire, Water, Earth, or Wind) and the Ancient Spirit from a stigma. The class is extremely squishy, so you need to position carefully, but it carries one of the easiest macro loops in the game. The entire kit keys off a single event: every time a spirit uses its skill, you gain one element. At four elements, Elemental Fusion lights up as your biggest hit, and it has a 25% chance to refund four elements straight back. Two rules sit on top: you cannot gain elements while already holding four, and since the July 8th patch Elemental Fusion and Dimensional Control have no cooldown at all. The only limit on Fusion is how fast you can make spirits fire.

Core Skills & Gameplay Explained

  • Cold Shock is your basic attack and lives on left click. The fourth specialization gives an attack buff that stacks five times, which you want up at all times. Keep this button held.

  • Combustion is a secondary damage skill. Early on, pick the MP consumption specialty, then swap to the 20% skill cast and extra damage specialties once your mana pool stabilizes around week one of progression.

  • Fire Spirit deals damage to multiple targets and gains 2% attack and defense per skill use. This is your main damage spirit and the one you want summoned last so it stays on the field.

  • Water Spirit has the highest single-target damage of the normal spirits and restores mana for the caster, which solves the early game MP problem completely. Take the 10% skill activation chance specialty.

  • Earth Spirit taunts enemies when it attacks, pulling boss aggro off you while gaining defense and HP after each skill. Take the 10% skill activation specialty.

  • Wind Spirit restores HP for the caster and helps stack elements early. Once your attack speed and gear improve around week one, you remove Wind Spirit from the rotation because three spirits plus procs are enough to generate Fusion fast.

  • Joint Strike Curse deals damage and works with both your active spirit and the Ancient Spirit from the stigma. Take the 2-second duration and -2 second cooldown specialties. Level 12 is a high priority.

  • Rapid Scattershot is a PvE boss skill only. You can swap the HP or MP absorption specialty based on how often you dodge mechanics, and the mobile version works if you want to stay moving while shooting.

  • Dimensional Control activates whenever a spirit uses its skill and lights up briefly for free. Take the extra damage after 3 seconds specialty and the multi-hit chance. Level 12 is a high priority.

  • Elemental Fusion is your highest damage skill. It consumes four elements and has a 25% chance to refund them. Spec 4 turns it into a charge skill for up to 200% more damage, but Korean players tested this and leave it off because with no cooldown, a Fusion you charge is a Fusion you didn't cast twice.

  • Soul's Cry is a pure PvP fear skill with no PvE value.

  • Defiance at level 8 takes HP restoration as your CC escape.

Stigma Skills

With Global limited to four stigma slots at a time (unlocked at levels 22, 27, 32, and 37), the picks differ from the Korean six-stigma meta.

  • Ancient Spirit is your highest priority stigma. When summoned, it immediately uses its skill, granting four elements and lighting up Fusion instantly. For 30 seconds, Fusion comes from it on top of what the macro produces, and since the April rework it stays out alongside your elemental spirit. Push this to level 15 as fast as possible, since the auto-attack count required to trigger Fusion drops from 7 to 5, and later level 25 stigmas drop it to 3.

  • Flame Blessing is your personal attack buff.

  • Spirit's Benediction buffs both you and your spirit.

  • Joint Strike Corrode applies a debuff that makes the target take more damage from you and your spirits. Push to level 15 for the extra damage.

  • Joint Strike Destructive Attack resets Curse and Corrode cooldowns on first hit. Use only after both are already spent, otherwise you throw away a free cast.

  • Siphon gives sustain and rounds out the Korean six-stigma set alongside the above.

Skill Rotation & Situational Skills

The gameplay loop runs: start with Flame Blessing and Spirit's Benediction, hold the macro for a few seconds to stack Cold Shock buff and Element Unification, then summon the Ancient Spirit. Spirits take your buffs and stats at the moment of summoning, so always buff first, then summon.

After the Ancient Spirit lands, Fusion fires automatically. Hold both mouse buttons so summons feed elements, Fusion and Dimensional Control go out the instant they light up, and Cold Shock fills every gap.

Fire Destructive Attack at full charge a few seconds after Ancient Spirit lands, and release the macro while charging it. A Korean post with over 100 recommendations caught the macro firing freshly reset Curse and cutting Destructive Attack off, so letting go of right-click costs you nothing.

Four mistakes to avoid: don't let a spirit other than Fire be the last summoned, don't charge Elemental Fusion, don't fire Destructive Attack while Curse or Corrode is still ready, and don't hold the macro through it.

Macro Setup

The macro lives in your skill window under Macro. Add steps with Add Macro, each step getting its own delay from 10ms to 9,900ms. Bind it under Settings → Key Settings → General → Macro, and it only runs while you hold the key down.

Three rules from the game's own help text matter: if you press anything yourself, your input wins; the macro keeps trying to advance to the next step, so step order isn't guaranteed; and in classic tab target control mode, a mouse button cannot be the hotkey.

Since the May 27th change, a macro step points at a quick slot, and the minimum delay dropped from 50ms to 10ms. A quick slot isn't one skill. Each slot is a column of up to four skills in rows 0 to 3. When pressed, it fires the first skill in that column that's ready, starting from row 0.

Put Cold Shock on left click. Bind the macro to right click. Turn skill queue on under combat controls.

Build two quick slot stacks of four skills each:

  • Joint Strike Stack (Key 1): Row 0 Joint Strike Corrode, Row 1 Joint Strike Curse, Row 2 Dimensional Control, Row 3 Combustion. Corrode leads because it makes the target take more damage from you and your spirit.

  • Spirit Stack (Key 2): Row 0 Elemental Fusion, Row 1 Water Spirit, Row 2 Earth Spirit, Row 3 Fire Spirit. Fusion goes ahead of summons so whenever four elements is up, the stack spends it before summoning again. Fire goes last because only one elemental spirit is out at a time, each new summon replaces the last, and the spirit in the last row is the one that stays.

Add two macro steps: step one points at key one, step two points at key two. Both delays at 10ms if your ping is under 50, or 50ms if ping sits around 80 to 100. Hold left click and right click together and the class runs.

The macro doesn't press four buttons, and those four are your burst: Flame Blessing, Spirit's Benediction, Ancient Spirit, and Joint Strike Destructive Attack.

Daevanion Boards & Stat Priorities

The Global Daevanion board is smaller than the Korean and Taiwanese versions, with less wide stats available but identical skill level nodes (blue +1 active skill, green +1 passive skill, 12 for blue, 11 for green).

Priority order: finish the opening lane like combat speed on Nakiel, then path toward Combustion +12, Elemental Fusion, Cold Shock +12 activation, Spirit Strike passive, and Spirit Protection. Skip the critical damage boost lines at the early stage because your crit rate during the first week sits around 10% or lower, and testing with auto-attacks only lands one crit in 44 hits. There's no point stacking critical damage boost when you don't crit.

The trick is that regular skill enchant maxes at level 10. Levels 11 and 12 cost higher points, so push those final levels through the Daevanion board instead, saving active skill points for other upgrades. Each skill can be found four times on the board, so pick the nodes closest to your current path.

Leveling Skill Priorities

Three priority tiers organize your leveling:

  • Priority 1 (highest): Cold Shock, Combustion, Fire Spirit, Joint Strike Curse, Dimensional Control, Elemental Fusion.

  • Priority 2 (middle): Water Spirit, Earth Spirit, Spirit Revitalization.

  • Priority 3 (lowest): Rapid Scattershot (only if running PvE bosses), Soul's Cry (PvP only), Wind Spirit (drop after week one).

Leveling Passive & Stigma Priorities

  • Spirit Strike is the highest priority passive because it buffs spirit damage, perfect chance, and PvE/PvP damage boost.

  • Spirit Protection sits at middle priority, raising your defense and your spirits' defense. Spiritmaster is extremely weak, and this helps you survive both PvP burst and boss damage.

  • Spirit Descent has a 50% chance to deal around 500 extra damage whenever you summon, triggering repeatedly during the macro loop.

  • Element Unification boosts critical damage, which becomes valuable once your crit rate climbs past 500 toward 800 to 1000.

  • Mental Focus is PvP only (fear and debuff utility), so skip it for PvE.

  • Consecutive Counter has a 50% chance to deal extra damage against targets with damage over time effects, which pairs with your bleeds and burns.

  • Spirit Communication sits at low priority, giving flat accuracy and spirit HP restore.

  • Spirit Revitalization is a middle priority healing passive with a big cooldown.

For stigma leveling, Ancient Spirit comes first at level 15 minimum, with 50 as your long-term target. Joint Strike Corrode follows at level 15 for the extra damage. Flame Blessing and Spirit's Benediction round out the four-stigma Global setup.

2. AION 2 Best Spiritmaster PvE Build

Spiritmaster carries nearly every PvE scenario in Season 1 thanks to its two-held-button macro, high boss uptime, and Ancient Spirit damage window. The class dominates single-target boss fights through Water Spirit and Fire Spirit rotations, handles AoE packs through Fire Spirit's four-target hit, and solos content easily thanks to Earth Spirit's taunt and Water Spirit's mana restore. For dungeon farming, raid DPS, and solo MSQ progression, this is one of the most forgiving classes to play while still topping damage charts.

Active Skill Specialties for PvE

  • Cold Shock at level 16 takes specs 2, 3, and 4. Spec 4 is the attack buff that stacks five times.

  • Combustion at level 20 takes specs 2, 4, and 5. Spec 5 adds Ashy Call as a chain.

  • Fire Spirit at level 20 takes specs 2, 3, and 5.

  • Water Spirit at level 16 takes specs 2 and 5.

  • Earth Spirit at level 16 takes specs 3 and 5.

  • Joint Strike Curse takes specs 2, 3, and 4.

  • Dimensional Control at level 16 takes specs 2 and 3.

  • Elemental Fusion at level 20 takes specs 2, 3, and 5. Spec 4 (the charge option) stays off because with no cooldown, charging costs you a second cast.

  • Rapid Scattershot and Soul's Cry get no points for PvE.

  • Defiance at level 8 takes HP restoration.

Passive Skills for PvE

Take Spirit Strike, Mental Focus, Element Unification, and Spirit Revitalization as the Korean meta picks. Add Spirit Descent and Consecutive Counter with remaining points. Skip Mental Focus if running pure PvE and swap in Spirit Protection instead.

Stigma Setup for PvE

Global's four-stigma limit lands you with Ancient Spirit, Flame Blessing, Spirit's Benediction, and Joint Strike Corrode. The Korean six-stigma setup adds Joint Strike Destructive Attack and Siphon once more slots open.

Macro Layout for PvE

  • Joint Strike Stack (Key 1): Corrode → Curse → Dimensional Control → Combustion.

  • Spirit Stack (Key 2): Elemental Fusion → Water Spirit → Earth Spirit → Fire Spirit.

Wind Spirit sits off the macro once your attack speed scales up around week one. Before that, keep it on a manual key to help stack Fusion.

Macro delays: 10ms under 50 ping, 50ms at 80 to 100 ping. If skills start getting eaten, raise delays a little at a time.

Daevanion Board for PvE

Push damage boost nodes on Global (which read as less powerful than Taiwanese numbers but function identically), followed by skill level nodes for Combustion +12, Cold Shock +12, Elemental Fusion, Dimensional Control, Spirit Strike, and Spirit Protection. Skip critical damage boost nodes until your crit rate climbs past 30%.

Rotation for PvE

Open with Flame Blessing and Spirit's Benediction, hold the macro for a few seconds to stack Cold Shock buff and Element Unification, summon Ancient Spirit, then watch Fusion fire instantly off its first spirit skill. Hold both mouse buttons through the fight, releasing right-click only to charge Joint Strike Destructive Attack a few seconds after Ancient Spirit lands.

For long boss fights, Dimensional Control contributes heavy damage through its extra damage after 3 seconds specialty, so the longer the fight runs, the better Spiritmaster scales.

Three Spirits or Four?

Four spirits adds hits, and one Inven test measured about 6% ahead on a 1-minute dummy. But a fourth summon doesn't fit in a four-row stack that also holds Fusion. Four-spirit players run Fusion on its own key with a mouse macro, which NCSoft has never published rules allowing. Sanction notices list macro use under farming and unauthorized programs, and the September 16th patch lengthened cancel timings on two classes specifically to discourage mouse macros. For the in-game macro alone, three spirits is the clean setup.

3. AION 2 Best Spiritmaster PvP Build

Spiritmaster plays very differently in PvP compared to PvE. The class brings heavy damage over time pressure, strong range control, and a fear kit, but you're extremely squishy and die fast if anyone jumps you. Mass PvP favors your AoE spirits and corpse-cloud debuffs, while 1v1 relies on fear chains and kiting around your spirits. Unlike PvE, the macro handles less of your rotation because you need to react constantly to incoming damage and defensive buffs.

Active Skill Specialties for PvP

  • Cold Shock takes the 20% MP restore, the attack-on-land stack, and the 10% debuff removal chance on the fifth specialty.

  • Combustion takes the skill cast speed and extra damage, with MP consumption as backup if mana runs dry.

  • Fire Spirit takes the critical hit damage specialty and the fire spirit stats boost for burst.

  • Water Spirit takes the 10% skill activation chance for consistent Fusion generation.

  • Earth Spirit takes the taunt and defensive specialties, which also work defensively in mass PvP by forcing attention onto the pet.

  • Joint Strike Curse takes the duration and reduced cooldown specialties.

  • Dimensional Control takes the multi-hit chance over the pull or slow effects, since the raw damage scales better in PvP burst windows.

  • Elemental Fusion keeps the charge specialty off, same reasoning as PvE.

  • Rapid Scattershot takes the mobile specialty for kiting.

  • Soul's Cry becomes a priority for PvP since fear chains lock down enemy casters.

  • Defiance at level 8 for HP restoration, with level 12 unlocking PvP damage tolerance.

Passive Skills for PvP

Spirit Strike remains the top priority. Spirit Protection matters more in PvP because of your weak defense. Mental Focus comes online for fear and debuff utility. Consecutive Counter pairs with your damage over time effects for free burst, and Spirit Revitalization helps spirit sustain in prolonged fights.

Stigma Setup for PvP

Core picks stay Ancient Spirit, Flame Blessing, Spirit's Benediction, and Joint Strike Corrode. For heavier PvP focus, swap one of the buff stigmas for Corpse Cloud at mid-to-late game, since the AoE damage over time punishes grouped enemies in mass PvP. Cry of Terror and Seal of Magic are pure PvP stigmas worth considering if your fourth slot allows experimentation.

Macro Layout for PvP

For PvP, keep the same two-stack macro from PvE but expect to manually override more often. Fear chains, Soul's Cry, and Defiance all need manual timing based on what the enemy does.

  • Joint Strike Stack (Key 1): Corrode → Curse → Dimensional Control → Combustion.

  • Spirit Stack (Key 2): Elemental Fusion → Water Spirit → Earth Spirit → Fire Spirit.

Keep Wind Spirit on a manual key during early PvP since the HP restore helps you survive focus fire. Soul's Cry sits on its own manual key, as does Rapid Scattershot's mobile version for kiting.

Daevanion Board for PvP

Priority runs damage boost first, then skill level nodes for Elemental Fusion, Joint Strike Curse, Combustion, and Dimensional Control. Pick up Spirit Strike and Spirit Protection on the passive side early. In PvP, defensive stats like HP and PvP damage tolerance carry more value than they do in PvE, so weave them in once your core offensive nodes are set.

Rotation for PvP

Start fights with Ancient Spirit summoned safely before engaging. Open with Flame Blessing and Spirit's Benediction, then summon Ancient Spirit for the instant Fusion window. Pop Fusion, follow with Joint Strike Corrode and Curse to layer debuffs, then summon your Fire Spirit for AoE pressure or Water Spirit for single-target burst.

In 1v1, chain Soul's Cry fears when the enemy burns defensives, and save Defiance for the moment someone commits a lockdown chain on you. In mass PvP, lead with Corpse Cloud (once leveled) and Fire Spirit to pressure clumped enemies while kiting at max range.

The important thing in PvP is you're not standing still unloading like a boss fight. Keep moving, keep your spirits between you and the enemy, and let the damage over time stacking do the heavy lifting while Fusion hits inside your buff window.

Spiritmaster rewards players who learn one loop extremely well: summon to make elements, spend them the moment they land, and keep your hands on the four buttons that matter (Flame Blessing, Spirit's Benediction, Ancient Spirit, and Joint Strike Destructive Attack). The in-game macro handles nearly everything else, which makes this one of the easiest classes to pick up while still topping Korean DPS charts.

For Global Season 1, the four-stigma limit forces tighter choices than Korea, but the Ancient Spirit plus Fusion loop remains the strongest damage pattern in the game. Push Ancient Spirit to level 15 as fast as possible, run three spirits in the clean in-game macro setup, and skip critical damage boost on the Daevanion board until your crit rate catches up with gear. Do that and Spiritmaster will carry you through PvE boards and Abyss PvP alike.
