PoE 3.29 Ducat List, Drop Location, Best Ducats & How to Get

August 04, 2026 POE POE Farming POE Leagues

Ducats are a type of currency released in Path of Exile 3.29 Curse of the Allflame league. Exclusive to the Allflame Crafting system on the Sovereign ship, standard Ducats provide unique item‑modifying effects to upgrade, rework or reforge player gear. Patch 3.29.3 introduced Cursed Ducats, a new subset of Ducat‑type items designed to empower Voyages and Charts instead of item crafting. Here we introduce all PoE 3.29 Ducats including standard crafting Ducats and the new Cursed Ducats, with core effects, 3.29.1 & 3.29.3 patch changes, market value, drop locations, farming methods and the best Ducats for crafting and farming.

Updated on August 14, 2026:

PoE 3.29 Ducat List & Effects

All standard PoE Ducats have a base drop level of 1 and a maximum stack size of 10. Each serves a distinct Allflame Crafting purpose with no overlapping core functions.

  • Rotmother's Ducat: Adds a random Trap or Mine modifier to any rare belt.

  • Brinehook's Ducat: Crafts a random Pantheon Aspect Skill onto eligible equipment items. Flasks, jewels and non‑equippable items are blocked from receiving Pantheon Aspect Skills.

  • Kishara's Ducat: Splits a target item into multiple ghostly copies, each retaining only one random original modifier.

  • The Genteel's Ducat: Swaps a single attribute modifier (Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence) on an item for another random attribute type. Patch 3.29.3 Update: Can now swap single‑attribute modifiers on Small Cluster Jewels.

  • Katakohi's Ducat: Etches 1–3 sockets on gloves to grant random enchantments, while disabling the modified sockets for future use.

  • Merrick's Ducat: Adds a random new modifier to a rare Abyssal Jewel and corrupts it, even if the jewel already has maximum modifiers.

  • Cyaxan's Ducat: Reforges a rare item with completely random modifiers, including a guaranteed Infamous modifier.

  • The Changeling's Ducat: Transforms itself into a random other Ducat; costs 1000 Dead Man's Sulphur to use. Cannot be used with a crafting base and must be used by itself.

  • Telesia's Ducat: Rerolls the room type of a Chart, which can alter room connections when the Chart is deployed.

  • Tzamoto's Ducat: Applies a random effect on an item — either removes all [Intangibility] modifiers or destroys the item entirely.

  • Ukatoa's Ducat: Replaces the implicit modifier of a non‑unique amulet with a random Eldritch implicit (from Searing Exarch or Eater of Worlds pools). Cannot rework fixed implicit amulets (Simplex Amulet, Focused Amulet). It overwrites all existing implicits including Synthesis types. Modified Eldritch implicits cannot be rerolled via Eldritch Embers or Ichors, and exclude Exquisite and Perfect top‑tier modifiers. Talismans require a Gilded Fossil implicit first to be eligible.

How to Use Ducats in PoE?

Standard Crafting Ducats

  1. Travel to the Sovereign and interact with Vesper to open the Allflame Crafting panel.

  2. Place your target gear in the large main item slot.

  3. Insert one Ducat into the dedicated small currency slot.

  4. Confirm the craft; standard crafting rules apply (e.g., item mod capacity limits unless the Ducat explicitly overrides them).

Cursed Ducats (3.29.3)

  1. Open the Voyage Planner UI aboard The Sovereign.

  2. Place Cursed Ducats into the dedicated sockets. A maximum of 3 Cursed Ducats can be active at the same time.

  3. Their bonuses and monster penalties apply to all subsequent Chart and Voyage runs.

Latest Ducat Changes in PoE 3.29.1 & 3.29.3 Patch

The 3.29.1 minor patch adjusted Ducat drop rules, mechanics validity and league content, bringing key balance and quality‑of‑life updates:

  • New Content Added: Introduced the Eldritch Depths Chart variant, the exclusive spawn zone for the new Ukatoa's Ducat.

  • Mechanic Bug Fixes: Blocked invalid Brinehook's Ducat usage on non‑equipment items to prevent dummy skill modifiers. Fixed missing cost display for The Changeling's Ducat in the crafting UI. Fixed Kishara's Ducat unusable issue in Ruthless mode.

  • League System Adjustments: Reinstated standard XP loss penalties for death in Charts and Voyages. Lowered Chart trading costs on the market. Optimized Allflame Lantern targeting to ignore useless objects like crab nests and common shrines.

3.29.3 Major Additions

  • Added 6 new Cursed Ducats for the Voyage Planner to empower Charts and Voyages, with trade‑offs via dangerous monster modifiers.

  • The Genteel's Ducat now supports swapping single‑attribute modifiers on Small Cluster Jewels.

  • Added hotkey toggle to view all 12 Border Modifiers within Voyage Planning UI.

  • First Cursed Ducat is obtained by defeating Velka; players who already killed Velka can speak to Valerie on The Sovereign to claim it. Additional Cursed Ducats only drop from Voyage / Chart monsters and interactables while you already have at least one Cursed Ducat socketed.

PoE 3.29 Ducat Value & Popularity Ranking

Ducat value and player demand vary greatly based on crafting utility and drop rarity, priced primarily in Chaos Orbs. Below is the sorted market data and popularity analysis based on poe.ninja data on August 04, 2026:

  • Tzamoto's Ducat: 7.7 Chaos Orbs (highest value), 1.1k trade volume. Most valuable and popular Ducat in the league now.

  • Katakohi's Ducat: 4.0 Chaos Orbs, 2.8k trade volume. It boasts the highest player popularity among all Ducats.

  • Telesia's Ducat: 3.6 Chaos Orbs, 2.1k trade volume. It maintains steady market demand for rerolling Chart room types and optimizing Voyage loot layouts.

  • The Genteel's Ducat: 3.7 Chaos Orbs, 2.3k trade volume.

  • Cyaxan's Ducat: 2.2 Chaos Orbs, 185 trade volume.

  • Kishara's Ducat: 2.2 Chaos Orbs, 793 trade volume.

  • Merrick's Ducat: 1.8 Chaos Orbs, 1.1k trade volume.

  • Brinehook's Ducat, Rotmother's Ducat, The Changeling's Ducat: Less than 1 Chaos Orbs.

Note: Cursed Ducats are new in 3.29.3, market pricing data is not yet available.

PoE 3.29 Ducat Drop Location

Every standard crafting Ducat has fixed exclusive drop sources in the Curse of the Allflame. All standard Ducats can only drop from Chart and Voyage content, and each specific Ducat is bound to unique area mechanics, monster types and Chart variants.

  • Kishara's Ducat: Sunken Loot chests found within the Anchorfield area running the Sandy Seabed Chart.

  • Brinehook's DucatBrine King‑Touched rare monsters that spawn in the Brine King's Domain area of the Sandy Seabed Chart.

  • Rotmother's Ducat: explosive mine mechanics located inside the Hazardous Depths area of the Sandy Seabed Chart.

  • The Genteel's Ducatrare Wriggling Horror enemies appearing in the Infested Bathyspheres area on the Sandy Seabed Chart.

  • Cyaxan's Ducat: Mysterious Diver Mercenaries encountered in the Diving Shoals area of the Coral Reef Chart.

  • Katakohi's Ducat: Spirit Chieftain enemies that spawn throughout the Sunken Totems area of the Coral Reef Chart.

  • Merrick's Ducat: rare Abyss monsters generated in the Pelagic Abyss area using the Coral Forest Chart.

  • Tzamoto's Ducat: inside Vaal Vessel strongboxes scattered across the Lost Ruins area of the Coral Forest Chart.

  • Ukatoa's Ducat: the newly added 3.29.1 Eldritch Depths zone belonging to the Coral Forest Chart.

PoE 3.29 Cursed Ducats Drop Location

Cursed Ducats do not drop without an active socketed Cursed Ducat. Your initial Cursed Ducat comes from Velka; subsequent drops occur from specific monsters and interactables inside Charts and Voyages.

  • Ducat of Tsoatha's Gift: Defeat Velka (initial guaranteed reward)

  • Ducat of the Grasping Deep: Drop from Filthscrabble

  • Ducat of the Foul Kin: Generic rare monster drop within Charts/Voyages

  • Ducat of the Fallen Stars: Sea Star rare monster (Sea Pillars encounters)

  • Ducat of the Eucarid Isle: Drop from Captainsbane

  • Ducat of the Undead Sea: Loot from the Offering of the Drowned interactable object

How to Get & Farm Ducats in PoE 3.29?

1. Farm Charts & Voyages (Primary Free Source)

  • Access the Fathomless Depths league zone by launching any Chart or Voyage mission from The Sovereign ship.

  • Defeat all regular monsters inside the Depths; random Ducat drops occur from standard enemy loot pools.

  • Interact with all map interactables: sunken chests, treasure clams, Vaal Vessels, mercenary backpacks, shrines, and gold piles. Many spawn Ducats directly or summon a bonus monster guaranteed to drop one upon death.

  • Target specialized Chart variants to farm specific desired Ducats faster.

  • Higher‑tier endgame maps unlock rarer Ducat spawn weights; low‑level Charts mostly drop low‑value surplus Ducats.

Farming note for Cursed Ducats: You must already have at least one Cursed Ducat socketed in the Voyage Planner for additional Cursed Ducats to drop. Socketed Cursed Ducats raise monster toughness and reward quantity/rarity but also make enemies far deadlier.

2. Purchase via Faustus Currency Exchange (Trade League Only)

  • Locate Faustus, the trade NPC on The Sovereign ship. Open his Currency Exchange menu.

  • Exchange Chaos Orbs for any available standard crafting Ducat; each type has a fixed individual price capped at roughly 7.7 Chaos (Tzamoto’s Ducat is the most expensive).

  • Prices shift based on league supply and demand, but no standard Ducat exceeds 8 Chaos at peak market rates in 3.29.1.

  • This method does not exist for Solo Self‑Found (SSF) characters, who must rely fully on Chart farming.

Important: Faustus currency exchange does not sell Cursed Ducats; all Cursed Ducats must be farmed from league content.

PoE 3.29 Best Ducats

Based on market value, crafting & farming versatility, and endgame build applicability, the top‑tier standard crafting Ducats are ranked below.

1. Tzamoto's Ducat (Highest Value & Endgame Utility)

Its dual random mechanic solves a critical crafting pain point: gear with harmful Intangibility modifiers. Players use it to salvage expensive rare bases by stripping unwanted Intangibility tags, even with the risk of destroying the item. Limited drop restrictions keep supply low, making it profitable to trade or craft with for endgame min‑maxing. Best for players crafting high‑value rare bases with corrupted Intangibility mods.

2. Ukatoa's Ducat (Powerful Amulet Crafting)

Unique mechanic to fully overwrite amulet implicits with Searing Exarch or Eater of Worlds Eldritch tiers (Lesser → Grand; excludes Exquisite/Perfect tiers).

New Eldritch Depths chart makes consistent farming possible. Perfect for fixing amulets with garbage native implicits while retaining strong explicit modifiers; Eldritch implicits like spell suppression and pinnacle boss damage multipliers are meta for most builds.

3. Katakohi's Ducat (Glove Enchant Specialization)

Overwrites 1–3 glove sockets for permanent random enchants, trading socket functionality for powerful static enchant buffs. Ideal for glove builds that do not rely on socketed skill gems (trap, totem, or auto‑attack setups). High trade volume proves consistent demand for melee and caster gloves without socket dependency.

4. Cyaxan's Ducat (Infamous Mod Farming)

The only currency that guarantees an Infamous modifier on reforged Rare items. Infamous mods are league‑exclusive powerful affixes unavailable through standard crafting. Great for players chasing league unique craft bases, though its low market price reflects the randomness of the full reforge roll.

5. Merrick's Ducat (Abyss Jewel Crafting)

Overrides the max modifier limit on Abyssal Jewels and adds a random mod while corrupting the jewel. Abyss stacking builds rely on this Ducat to stack extra damage, life, or resistance modifiers on their core jewels. The 3.29.1 abyss loot buff increased rare jewel spawns, drastically improving this Ducat’s practical value.

Best Cursed Ducats

Cursed Ducat power heavily depends on your build’s strengths and weaknesses. Players should select Cursed Ducat penalties that least punish their character: for example, builds with high elemental resistance will tolerate Ducat of the Undead Sea, while tanky builds can consider Ducat of the Eucarid Isle. Stacking up to three amplifies loot rewards but drastically raises monster lethality.
