The arrival of the Animal Crossing 3.0 update has brought a fresh wave of excitement to islands everywhere. There’s more to see and do, from new furniture sets and clothing to the debut of the long-awaited resort hotel. Whether you’re just returning or you’ve been playing every day, there’s plenty to dig into, including new visitors, collectibles, and ways to decorate. This guide covers the new ACNH 3.0 items, prices, methods for collecting them, and the new villagers you can welcome to your island.
Animal Crossing New Horizons 3.0 New Item & Villager List
The 3.0 update landed with plenty of surprises. The biggest addition is the resort hotel, built right on your island’s pier. This new building is more than just a pretty sight: it brings a new currency (Hotel Tickets), daily quests, and seasonal changes to its appearance. The update also expands your home’s storage, introduces new ways to craft and decorate, and adds collaborative items from franchises like Zelda, Splatoon, and LEGO. The hotel is the centerpiece, and it’s where you’ll find most of the new features, including exclusive items and fresh faces.
With all these new additions, there are two main things to focus on: the huge list of new items and the roster of new villagers who can now visit or move in.

How to Earn Hotel Tickets
Hotel Tickets are mainly earned by helping out at the hotel. You can:
Complete DIY Requests: Craft requested items daily and deposit them in the box by the pier. Each task rewards you with tickets, and some requests give even more on your first completion.
Decorate Guest Rooms: Design guest rooms for the hotel. You’ll be asked to follow a theme or create your own vibe, and you get tickets for each completed room.
Assist Lost Villagers: Occasionally, you’ll encounter visitors wandering your island. Help them find a place to stay at the hotel and you’ll earn bonus tickets and Nook Miles.
ACNH 3.0 New Villagers
The hotel doesn’t just bring new furniture, it introduces new villager mechanics and even cross-franchise guests.
Lost Visitors
With the hotel open, you’ll occasionally see villagers on your island who aren’t permanent residents. These guests often wear the outfits you’ve displayed in your hotel lobby. If you see a villager with a thought bubble, approach them—they’re hoping for your help to find a room.
What to do: Speak with the lost visitor and offer to bring them to the hotel.
Reward: Escorting them to the hotel and checking them in to a standard room gives you 50 Hotel Tickets and Nook Miles credit towards a new achievement. Every few assists unlocks more miles.
VIP Villagers (Amiibo Guests)
Once you’ve designed enough standard rooms, Leilani will offer VIP room options. These are for Amiibo-scanned characters or random villagers. VIP rooms function much like standard rooms but cater to special guests and are available for one night only.
How to access: Keep playing and designing rooms at the hotel. Eventually, Leilani will announce that VIP rooms are available.
Amiibo Required: For exclusive villagers from Zelda and Splatoon, scan the appropriate Amiibo at the Nook Stop. This also unlocks their themed items in Nook Shopping.
Clothing and Items for Villagers
When you design your lobby, you can display two outfits on mannequins. Visiting villagers and friends can wear these while staying, and you can swap them out with ease. You can even return to your regular outfit at any time through a new menu option, making it simple to try on new looks.
New Collaboration Villagers
Zelda Collaboration: Scanning a Zelda Amiibo brings Tulin or Mineru as campsite visitors. After meeting them, you can invite them to join your island.
Splatoon Collaboration: Scan compatible Splatoon Amiibo to receive a visit from Cece or Viche at your campsite, with the chance to invite them as residents.
New villagers also come with their own clothing and themed furniture, matching their origin franchise. For example, Tulin arrives with Zelda outfits and décor, while Cece and Viche bring Splatoon flair.
Tips for Enjoying the ACNH 3.0 Update
Check the hotel daily: Stock in Grams’ shop rotates, and display items are often cheaper than ordering from the catalog.
Plan your purchases: Both the hotel shop and Nook Shopping limit you to five items per day.
Keep an eye out for lost visitors: These interactions are easy ways to earn extra Hotel Tickets and Nook Miles.
Craft strategically: Some DIY requests award more tickets, especially the first four each day.
