WoW Season of Discovery PvE Class & Spec - SoD PvE Tier List & Ranking
In World of Warcraft Season of Discovery, "PvE" stands for Player versus Environment. PvE content typically includes questing, dungeons, raids, and other challenges where players cooperate to overcome computer-controlled adversaries. In our WoW Classic SoD PvE tier list level 25, we break down each DPS, healing, and tanking specialization, and where it ranks based on its abilities and strengths during the inaugural Phase 1. To be noted, all the PvE classes and specs are going to be viable for Season of Discovery.
SoD Phase 1 PvE DPS Tier List
S Tier
One of the best PvE classes in Season of Discovery is Paladin. Not only it's a great class but also it got a lot of change. You can now tank with it but people are most hyped probably about the Retribution Paladin. Rett is going to be S tier top right there on this SoD PvE tier list because the talents are really good for this level and also he's going to get the mace quest.
Fire Mages benefit from talents like Improved Fireball and Burnout, which increase the damage and critical strike chance of their fire spells. The availability of Scorch and Fireball at level 24 adds to their DPS potential. Fire Mage has the potential to be one of the best WOW Classic SoD DPS classes at this level.
Arcane Mages receive talents like Arcane Subtlety, Clear Casting, and Arcane Concentration, enhancing their damage output. Arcane Blast and other abilities contribute to their DPS, with potential synergies with talents like Burnout. One of the reason why AR spec is going to be good is because r the flat 10% chance to hit you get from the talents.
Combat Rogues, especially those utilizing daggers, benefit from talents like Improved Backstab and Slaughter from the Shadows. N Venom becomes a powerful finisher, contributing to their high DPS potential.
A Tier
Fury Warriors gain benefits from talents like Heroic Strikes and Blood Frenzy, allowing for efficient rage generation and increased damage output.
Beast Mastery Hunters excel with talents like Aspect of the Hawk and Unleashed Fury, increasing the damage of their pets. The synergy with high-rank pet abilities contributes to their DPS.
Destruction Warlocks see improvements in Cataclysm, Devastation, and Improved Firebolt. The addition of spells like Chaos Bolt and Incinerate enhances their burst potential.

Assassination Rogues, focusing on daggers, benefit from talents like Improved Backstab and Ruthlessness. The synergy between abilities like Mutilate and Envenom adds to their DPS potential.
B Tier
Balance Druids gain benefits from talents like Starshards and Nature's Reach. Moonfire and Wrath become primary spells, though their overall DPS might not match higher-tier classes.
Elemental Shamans gain advantages from talents like Concussion, Call of Thunder, and Elemental Precision. Lava Burst and Chain Lightning contribute to their spellcasting DPS.
Survival Hunters may not shine as much as Marksmanship or Beast Mastery counterparts.
Arms Warriors are categorized as B Tier on this WOW Season of Discovery PvE tier list due to Fury Warriors being more favored for DPS.
C Tier
Shadow Priests are placed in the C Tier, potentially due to mana issues and less impactful talents at level 25. Their performance might improve at higher levels.
SoD Phase 1 PvE DPS Tier List
S Tier
Ranked highly on this WoW Season of Mastery PvE healer tier list due to their versatile healing toolkit including strong HoTs, Flash Heal burst healing, and Prayer of Mending. They can handle both sustained and burst healing well.
Their potent HoTs from Rejuvenation and Regrowth along with Wild Growth AoE healing make them excellent at sustained group healing. Lifebloom provides extra tank healing. It is considered one of the best SOD Phase 1 PvE specs for healers.
Their single target healing from Flash of Light and Holy Light is some of the strongest. Lay on Hands provides crucial emergency healing. Beacon of Light and Holy Shock allow them to heal tanks very effectively.
A Tier
While lacking versatility compared to S Tier healers on this Season of Discovery PvE ranking Phase 1, they provide valuable group healing from HoTs, Healing Wave/Lesser Healing Wave and Healing Rain. Earth Shield boosts tank survival.
Considered slightly lower due to playing a less conventional healing role. However, they bring strong AoE healing from Arcane Explosion and Mass Regeneration. Combined with damage dealt by Arcane Blast, they provide an interesting utility.
SoD Phase 1 PvE Tank Tier List
S Tier
The best WoW Classic Phase 1 PvE class at level 25. Excellent threat generation from Mangle, powerful damage mitigation from Bear Form armor increase, and Savage Defense. High armor makes them durable tanks. Wild Charge provides mobility.
A Tier
Solid all-around tank with high threat from Sunder Armor and powerful defensive cooldowns. Lacking damage mitigation of Druid.
Unexpected but Demon Armor and Soul Link give excellent survivability. Weak threat but it's manageable in 5-mans.
Reliable threat from Holy Shield and tank healing from Blessing of Sanctuary. Good use of Blessing of Kings. Missing damage reduction of Druid.
B Tier
Off-tank potential via Fire Elemental totem and Windfury Weapon procs. It is not as durable as Druid due to a lack of armor increase or damage mitigation skills.
D Tier
Evasion and Dodge provide some mitigation but lack of damage absorption, taunt, or AoE threat hurts main tank viability. Better used as DPS.
