The effectiveness of healers depends on the raid composition and the specific encounter mechanics. Among all healer classes, Priests, Druids, and Paladins are considered top-tier due to their unique abilities in single-target healing, area-of-effect healing, and adaptability. Shamans provide strong support, and Mages offers a unique blend of damage and healing abilities.

1 - Priest Healer (S Tier)

Priests, already the strongest healers in the game at level 60, are expected to maintain their position. They have received a variety of new tools to increase their healing and a new ability, Power Word Barrier, which could greatly help with raid mechanics. Penance is a very good healing spell, but none of the runes they received stand out as spectacular. They're expected to be a consistently good choice for healers in the Season of Discovery.

2 - Paladin Healer (A Tier)

Paladins are expected to be very strong due to the Beacon of Light healing buff. Despite not likely surpassing priests in healing per second (HPS), they're worth watching in the Season of Discovery.

3 - Mage Healer (B Tier)

Mage healing is surprisingly good, even with just three abilities so far. Mages have a lot of mana regeneration with gems and Evocation, making them good for longer fights where efficient healing is essential. They're expected to be a viable raid healer in the Season of Discovery, though not as strong as some of the other traditional healing specs.

4 - Restoration Druid (B Tier)

Restoration Druids received decent support with Living Seed and Lifebloom. However, without more significant support, they're expected to remain at the lower end of the healer performance spectrum.
