WoW Classic Season of Discovery DPS, Healer, Tank Tier List & Ranking for Phase 1

In WoW Classic Season of Discovery expansion, class balance and viability have been significantly adjusted with new abilities, talent trees, and, in some cases, entirely new roles. The WoW Classic SoD Tier List seeks to simplify your class choice by ranking each DPS, Healer, and Tank specializations.

WoW Classic Season of Discovery adds rune engraving to the game which acts as a secondary talent pool with very strong effects. These runes greatly buff the power level of every class and spec in the game, many of which are stronger than entire sections of talent trees. This along with new talent trees greatly improves the effectiveness of almost every spec in the game. Based on the currently announced runes, it seems Alliance will retain their faction dominance with druids getting windfury, but the Horde not receiving a raid wide threat reduction buff. The warrior meta also seems relatively intact with the exception of the rise of feral druids. Casters could take over though depending on future runes/gear in SoD.
