WoW Dragonflight 10.1.5 M+ Melee DPS Tier List - Best DPS Specs Ranking for Mythic+ in Dragonflight

Here's the ranking of WoW Dragonflight 10.1.5 M+ melee DPS specs from S to D tier, based on their performance in Mythic+ dungeons:

Sub Rogue - S Tier

Sub Rogue at the moment is very good, it’s one of the best M+ melee DPS specs in Dragonflight 10.1.5. It's gaining 4% damage because it currently uses the onyx annulet in single target. However, we don't run onyx annulet in mythic+ because this is a mythic+ tier list, we're essentially gaining 4% extra damage and it's very good. It's even getting used in the great push right now so Sub Rogue is getting taken to Uldaman for example and it's gaining 4% damage from its current place. It's going to be S tier and it's the only S tier. It's incredibly tanky, faint, cheat death, evasion, cloak of shadows, you then just have extra self-healing with crimson vial, you can get single target additional tankiness with elusiveness. There's so much in the package for Rogue that makes them tanky and they are incredibly sustainable.

Ret Paladin - A Tier

In World of Warcraft, Dragonflight 10.1.5, Ret Paladins continue to be a great melee DPS to play in mythic+. While not at the top of the melee DPS tier list, they bring their righteous fury into the battlefield, offering a mix of single-target and AoE damage, as well as valuable group utility and enhanced survivability.

Enhancement Shaman - A Tier

Enhancement Shaman is seeing some changes, the biggest change is ancestral guidance. Ancestral guidance is getting nerfed. Druids changes to Nature's Vigil are probably ways than ancestral guidance, but ancestral guidance is at the moment very strong, it's not going to be anywhere near as strong, it's some decent changes in terms of damage, Shaman as always brings great utility, have lust which is incredibly good for pogging, you have a very short cooldown AOE knock-up when there's a kind of the time point, but you change your knockback anyway into a knock-up, you then have sundering again, you have a short cooldown kick, you bring ancestral guidance still. But in general, it's tanky enough, it's not as tanky as ret, but it brings slightly different utility maybe better utility for a face value at high level keys.

Fury Warrior - A Tier

Fury Warrior is going into A tier as well, it’s another best melee DPS to play in M+ for 10.1.5 WoW Dragonflight. Fury Warrior is slightly different, it's tanky enough, you can drop in a distance and you don't lose that much damage for dropping a decent, so you can just have that additional 20% DR. You then have a bunch of self-healing, you have a lot of self-healing with Fury, so it's more tanky than Enhancement Shaman. You then have okay utility, you don't have access to a good AOE stop. You have a slightly shorter cooldown kick, you can reach a 13 second kick. When you play with a Fury Warrior, it does really well, there's no changes from where it is currently as far as we're aware in the patch notes, but it's good enough right now as it is definitely A tier.

Feral Druid - B Tier

Putting Feral Druid to top of B tier, they’re masters of shapeshifting, channeling the power of nature to transform into a fearsome cat form. They specialize in melee DPS and bring a unique playstyle focused on dealing damage over time (DoT) through bleeds, along with powerful finishing moves. As Feral Druids, players utilize abilities like Shred, Rake, Rip, and Ferocious Bite to optimize their damage output. They also have access to utility spells such as Entangling Roots and various defensive abilities while in bear form. The biggest downside of federal by far is its single target, so it's getting help in terms of single target.

Havoc DH - B Tier

Havoc Demon Hunter isn't seeing any changes, currently it is good. It has to be below Warrior, as always Demon Hunter incredibly tanky just baseline passive magic damage reductions, HP increases. Your utility is decent, it's not that great, you bring an AOE stuff, you don't really have a single target, stop cage can be used in some instances, but it's similar to Warrior, but actually a lot of its utility comes from the fact that it's just like tanky by itself and does good damage, but it's not doing as much damage as Fury. So the 5% magic damage increase is good, so it's decent.

Windwalker Monk - B Tier

It's in some very minor damage increases, so it's getting a little bit of extra. But it's similar to Feral, it just doesn't quite have a single target right now. Windwalker has always been tanky, you've got like 4 defensive cooldowns, you can cover off anything that you need to with those cooldowns. You're always going to be tanky, you take versatility. Utility wise, it's got 2 good AOE stops, a single target stop, you bring mystic touch, you get extra healing at the moment, you also could bring extra avoidance. It's really strong in terms of its utility. It's not quite up there at the same level as Fury.

Survival Hunter - B Tier

Survival Hunter is really good right now, defensive is lacking a little bit, it only has 3 defensives and they're longer cooldowns than Windwalker. So it's a little bit squishier than some of other specs on B tier. But it does decent damage and utility wise it brings lust, it's only the second spec on here to bring lust. It can redirect threat to the tank, it has some AOE stops. Overall it's just decent in terms of utility, its damage is real as well, it does decent damage, it's not anywhere near as bad as we thought it was going to be in terms of damage. So putting him up to B tier.

Arms Warrior - C Tier

Arms Warriors are an impactful melee DPS specialization that excels in burst damage, utilizing powerful abilities like Mortal Strike and Colossus Smash. With efficient Rage management, smart talent choices, and proper cooldown usage, Arms Warriors can contribute significantly to their group's success in various PvE and PvP scenarios. Arms Warrior has okay utility, it's tanky enough, it has decent single target, has great execute, you can just be an absolute execute God, it's a different version to Fury.

Frost & Unholy Death Knight - C Tier

In the Dragonflight 10.1.5 update, both Frost and Unholy Death Knight specializations have received significant changes and improvements. Frost Death Knights harness the power of ice to unleash devastating melee attacks upon their foes. Their chilling abilities and relentless assault make them a force to be feared in Mythic+ dungeons. Unholy Death Knights rely on a combination of diseases and minions to deal damage. They strategically manage their runes and runic power to maintain their damage over time. Key abilities like Festering Strike, Apocalypse, and Dark Transformation are crucial for optimizing damage and summoning their powerful minions. Additionally, utilizing Death and Decay and Epidemic efficiently allows Unholy Death Knights to excel in AoE situations.

Outlaw Rogue - C Tier

Outlaw Rogues in the Dragonflight 10.1.5 update offer an exhilarating playstyle, combining high burst damage, versatility, crowd control, and mobility. They excel in adapting to various encounters, delivering devastating blows to their adversaries and providing valuable support to their team. Outlaw is gaining 9% damage right now and that is an additional 5% over Sub Rogue. In reality, Outlaw has good pro damage as well just because the way the Bladefurry works, but in general, it's still going to be behind in terms of damage.

Assassination Rogue - D Tier

It's not really seeing any changes right now, Assassination is just the worst melee spec, it could even be done indeed, let's put it down in D. It doesn't do as much damage as Outlaw or Sub Rogue, if you give Sub Rogue access to more stops, it just gets even more broken and it has even more utility, so we don't think that Assassination Rogue will ever be meta and mythic+ because it'll just be broken if it is. Sub Outlaw are just terrible so that could potentially be the case, but in general, we still stand by this, it has good utility, it has good defensives, it does damage, you can play this at a high level if you want to.
