FIFA 23 Rank 1 433(4) Tactics Post Patch - OP Wing Play 4334 Formation in FUT 23

Set up in a game like this in 433(4). The whole team is untradeable including the bench except for Bennacer, rewardsGot absolutely nothing but 90 Xavi from rewards and some fodder. Started the first 5 games with Prime Desailly and Maignan instead of Bonucci and Courtois.

433(4) Tactics & Instructions

For all those asking for CTs, just a warning if you aren’t good at right stick switching and manual defending this formation will not work for you. It is designed to speed up your opponent and make them play quickly so you can get the ball back. You will get scored if you’re not active with marking and moving your CMs. That means heavy press and the left flank is pretty much always open due to the LB going up. It is also designed to overwhelm your opponent on offense with a bunch of runs going forward, so if you’re a heavy-possession player you may want to change stuff (not saying you can’t have any possession though, it isn’t a counter-attack formation.) The nice thing is you can attack through the middle if your opponent is using a 442/4231 or you can rip the wings for the 3421/4321/41212 opponents.

• Defence: Balanced - 40, 69

• Attack: Balanced Build Up, Forward Runs 15 Width, 6 PiB don’t care about corners/fk settings

• Instructions: ST - Stay forward

• CAM - don’t touch anything

• RW/LW - Cut inside, GiB for cross

• LCM - Stay back

• RCM - Stay on edge

• LB - Balanced

• RB - Stay Back

DO NOT PUT YOUR CMS ON THE COVER CENTRE! If you don’t touch anything else, it will naturally defend like a 442 or 4411 depending on the work rates. Work rates are everything in this formation. We like the stay-back CM to have a High attacking WR (hence why we use Bennacer) as they will sit higher up the field. Try out different players in different positions, it takes a while to figure it out. It is by no means structured as your wingers will bomb inside.

Players

• Flashback Bonucci - He's an Absolute beast, and you shouldn’t hesitate to do him. Pocketed Mbappe several times as well as R9 and any juiced attacker you can think of (faced one of those 15+ mil teams when I was 16-1). His jockeying is incredibly agile, didn’t put a foot wrong for the last 15. Great interceptions and was never out of position. Was honestly better than Baby Maldini and miles better than Desailly before him. Couldn’t recommend him enough. Easily the best defender I’ve used this year (besides TOTY Virgil in Draft). Don’t think he would replace Lucio or your 600k+ CBs but a crazy bargain for the price. Won’t be leaving the team for a while.

• FF Bennacer - Arguably the most important player on the team. Reminds me of Kante circa Fifa 20. Bulldog-like and the 99 acceleration lets him catch up to most in short-yardage situations. Passing was great and dribbling is key to getting out of pressure. Worth the 350k we paid on release x10 (helps I’m a huge Milan fan)

• Diaz - Brahimi! Great card for the value. Had FB Kaka in this position last WL, but after the game against Napoli, we had to throw him in. They Outplayed Kaka for me tbh. Definitely will get bullied by Ramos/VVD/the usual offenders, but the LS dribbling is so good you can wiggle out of most situations. Definitely missed some sitters, but overall he was an integral part of the team with the passing.

• Guerreiro - Mostly a chem whore for Meunier. We switched him to LB in-game, but he actually held his own quite well. Good at tackling, insane passing, and dribbling. Deceptively quick, but in long sprinting situations he would obviously not be able to keep up. We send him forward so he was never really staying back and Maldini covered for him. Subbed out for HM Davies most games at the half, or if the opponent was trying to grease down the line in the first half.

• Meunier - UNREAL! Sorry if you didn’t do him. Replaced FB Pogba for us in the B2B CM Role. Freaky long legs, and was crunching people with his tackles. Passing was ok but left a little to be desired. However, he had his fair share of goals/assists and the defensive impact on Pogba was extremely noticeable. The 5/5 is too valuable. If you can play him in the midfield do it!

• Diaby- You know what he can do. Absolute greaseball.

• El Shaarawy - Decent for the price but we wish EA gave him 5* or 4 WF. Had him on a Hawk but he’s better with a hunter for the explosive. Held his own on the wing but the Med/Med makes him kind of lazy.

• WC Eusebio - Again, you know what he can do. Not the quickest when trying to beat someone off the dribble, but can catch up to through balls well. Just need to time your shots and they’re pretty much guaranteed to go in with this guy.

• Main subs were - Davies for Guerreiro, Bale/Al O for someone on the wings, Pogba for Meunier, and Kaka for Diaz (although rare cause Diaz was really good).
