Diablo 4 Beta Class Tier List | D4 Classes Tier List/Ranking

Diablo IV - Now that we have played all 5 classes of Diablo 4, it is time to rank them and give some thoughts of what the high level experience may be like!

Diablo IV Beta Class Tier List

  • Top 1: Sorcerer

  • Top 2: Necromancer

  • Top 3: Rogue

  • Top 4: Barbarian

  • Top 5: Druid

#1 Sorcerer

  • Mana regen is very fast.

  • Damage is good, but not quite a 10/10.

  • Teleport is the best movement skill in the game.

  • Survivability is a 10/10 with many incredible defensive tools.

  • 4-6 second Immunity, constant chills, constant barriers, multiple immunities, multiple CC breaks, the best passive damage reduction in the game with Barriers.

  • He thinks Necromancer may outscale the Sorc in damage in the end game, but ranks Sorcerer higher due to all the utility options.

  • The dynamic Enchantment system is very good, and allows you to swap out skills on the fly even during combat.

  • The most versatile and mobile class in the game.

#2 Necromancer

  • 10/10 damage on a single target/mob/boss, and great overall damage. Bone skills are very good, and Bone Splinters is the best Basic skill in the game.

  • No movement skills is a notable negative.

  • Necromancer surviviability is a 5/10.

  • Summons/Minions are very strong in the beta, but he doesn't think they will be a viable end game build as there just aren't enough talents/skills and the scaling will drop off.

#3 Rogue

  • If you want to play a melee character that resembles the Barbarian of previous Diablo games, play a melee Rogue.

  • Burst damage is high through Imbuements. Dash has great mobility and can do decent damage.

  • 7/10 in terms of damage, same as Barbarian. However, he expects the Barbarian's damage to be higher and scale a bit better than Rogue in the end game, but still believes Rogues will be doing good damage at the higher levels.

  • Also a brutally fast character, allowing you to outplay dangerous situations. Perfect for those wanting a twitch based/high APM character.

  • Definitely one of the better survivability classes in the game.

#4 Barbarian

  • Damage overall is a 7/10. Can do decent damage with combination of War Crys, Bleed, and Thorns.

  • Survivability is the worst in the game. Barbarians in previous Diablo games were the tankiest class, but in D4 they are below every other class in survivability.

  • He expects Barabarians to be one of if not the best damage dealers in the game on a single target/mob/boss, but because of the anti-melee mechancis in the game, he expects real world Barb damage to fall below other classes.

#5 Druid

  • By far the lowest damage class in Diablo 4. Damage is "very poor". Ranks it a 4/10 in damage overall.

  • Tools are there for some decent combos, but everything is just so low damage, and the class overall feels very slow and clunky.

  • He thinks Druid damage will get better later in the game, but fears the clunkiness of the class will remain.

  • There are decent survivability options, but it's hard to see it all coming together given that we can't access the Druid class mechanics in the beta.
