WoW Dragonflight Season 2 Mythic+ Dungeons (10.1 M+ Dungeons)

Freehold M+

Freehold M+ is the first returning dungeon from Battle for Azeroth - the best-ever Battle for Azeroth dungeon is back for good in season 2. Freehold was a popular dungeon in Battle for Azeroth among players due to its engaging mechanics, interesting pirate theme, and rewarding loot. In World of Warcraft, a freehold dungeon is a 5-player instance located in the Tiragarde Sound zone of Kul Tiras. It is a pirate-themed dungeon that was added in the Battle for Azeroth expansion. The dungeon consists of four boss encounters, each with its unique mechanics and challenges. The bosses are Skycap'n Kragg, Council o' Captains, Ring of Booty, and Harlan Sweete. Players will navigate through the pirate ship, taking on various trash mobs before reaching each boss. The dungeon offers a variety of loot for players, including Azerite Armor, trinkets, and weapons. It is accessible to players who have reached level 110 or higher and can be completed on different difficulties for varying levels of challenge and rewards.

Underrot M+

Underrot is also a dungeon from World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth, located in the region of Nazmir on the continent of Zandalar. It is a level 110-120 dungeon designed for a group of five players. The story of Underrot revolves around the corruption that has taken hold of the area, and the need to stop the source of the corruption before it spreads further. The dungeon features several bosses, each with their own unique abilities and mechanics that players must learn to overcome. Some of the bosses in Underrot include: Elder Leaxa, Cragmaw the Infested, and Unbound Abomination. To successfully complete Underrot, players must work together to navigate the dungeon, defeat its bosses, and avoid the many traps and hazards that lurk within. As with all WoW dungeons, players will earn experience points, gold, and loot for successfully completing Underrot, making it a valuable source of rewards for players who enjoy dungeon content.

Neltharion's Lair M+

Neltharion's Lair is a dungeon from World of Warcraft Legion, located in Highmountain in the Broken Isles. The dungeon is named after the former Earth-Warder and Aspect of Death, Neltharion, also known as Deathwing. The dungeon has a minimum level requirement of 98 and consists of five bosses. The first boss is Rokmora, a massive stone elemental, followed by Ularogg Cragshaper, a drogbar chieftain who uses earth magic to control the environment. The third boss is Naraxas, a giant spider-like creature that can lay eggs and spawn smaller spiders. The fourth boss is Dargrul, the final drogbar king, who has gone mad with power and is attempting to overthrow the other drogbar leaders. The final boss is the spirit of Neltharion himself, who has been corrupted and is now known as the boss "Dargrul the Underking". Players must fight their way through the various drogbar and elemental minions in the dungeon before facing each boss. Each boss has unique abilities and mechanics that players must learn to overcome. For example, players must dodge Ularogg Cragshaper's boulder throws and destroy Naraxas's eggs before they hatch. Completing Neltharion's Lair can reward players with various items, including gear, artifact power, and even mounts. Additionally, players can complete certain achievements within the dungeon for extra rewards and recognition.

Vortex Pinnacle M+

Vortex Pinnacle is a dungeon from Cataclysm, located in the Skywall zone of World of Warcraft. It is a level 82-84 dungeon designed for five players. The dungeon is set on a floating island high in the clouds, and players must use flying mounts or special abilities to navigate through the dungeon. The dungeon consists of several boss encounters and trash mobs that must be defeated to progress. Players must also navigate through several tricky obstacles, including wind currents and lightning storms. The dungeon rewards players with gear and other valuable items for completing it.

Brackenhide Hollow M+

Starting with the brand new DF dungeons that are rotating into season 2 and let's get the elephant out of the room Brackenhide Hollow. This name of the dungeon actually strikes fear into a lot of people actually frankly. Remember at the start of the dungeon where we did it on Mythic zeros, if you do not have a disease in this spell you are in for trouble because you know how fast the diseases actually stack up within the dungeon itself. And not only that this dungeon especially in the first half has very very high mob density, there are mobs that will AOE fear the group if you don't interrupt them, there are petrols are always moving up and down, so the chance for a park to accidentally butt pull some of these mops is actually really high. The most important thing naturally is Blizzard probably needs to pay attention to the fine-tuning of this dungeon, especially on how the diseases start scaling on the very high keys. We don't think they want to end up in a scenario where having a disease cleanse is an absolute must-have for this dungeon but if Blizzard does nail the fine-tuning in terms of the difficulty for this dungeon when it's implemented into Mythic plus, this dungeon could be fun because you can do massive AOE pools, especially in the first half of the dungeon - the part where you need to free those dudes from the cages that's where you do those big pools.

Halls of Infusion M+

The second new Dragonflight dungeon coming from Mythic plus is the Halls of Infusion and similar to Brackenhide Hollow but to a lesser intensity and degree, there's a bit of concern around Halls of Fusion. You might already guess it, but a lot of you will remember before the final boss of the Halls of Fusion, there is actually a gauntlet that you need to pass through and in this Gauntlet, there are some oncoming waves that you need to dodge, there are some dragon frontals that you need to dodge and is a mini-boss like AOE Circle that you need to dodge. Can you imagine on a very high key these all actually one shots and that might be extremely punishing to the point where it might be frustrating to the player base because if your tank doesn't know what he's doing, he positions the dragon's frontal in a way where there's no safe spot to dodge the waves and the dragon, then the party is screwed having a tough conflict definitely brings up memories of that tough Consulate in sanguine depths at very high keys. Halls of Infusion has the potential to be that kind of dungeon where the entire dungeon is smooth you did everything right until the very final Gauntlet before the boss where you actually break the key and that doesn't feel good because your investor time doesn't have a payoff.

Uldaman Legacy of Tyr M+

The third new dungeon for Dragonflight 10.1 is Uldaman Legacy of Tyr M+. The bosses of the dungeon are generally fun and it's very weak that's the most important thing, you have a boss that is a three Target cleave, you have a single Target boss, and you have a boss that's a multi-target spread cliff on the totem boss. So the variation in the bosses is also mirrored in the environment design, there are dimly lit very tight corners with packed mobs and then there's like spas open brightly lit boss arenas. Overall this is the dungeon that people for Dragonflight would like the most in season 2.

Neltharus M+

The fourth new Dragonflight dungeon to come to Mythic plus is Neltharus. We don't think it's anything to do with the fight designs but it's really more a personal preference or color palettes. Neltharus has this kind of very bright orangey reddish, color palette draw the entire dungeon and it's consistent throughout the entire dungeon, and if there's anything we learned in Wild magic plus contrast in colors and the way you set up your display can help you focus better and read mechanics better, so make sure you're very sharp when you're entering a key like that.
