Madden 23 Best Rookie Premiere - Top 10 Rookie Premiere Players in MUT 23

7/22/2022 12:08:05 PM

Before the Madden 23 comes out, you still have time to get all rookie premiere tokens to redeem 86 overall auctionable and NCAT players in Ultimate Team. What are the best rookie premiere cards to get? Today we are going to bring you a ranking list of the top 10 Rookie Premiere players in Madden 23.

Madden 23 Best Rookie Premiere - Top 10 Rookie Premiere Players in MUT 23

Here are Zirksee’s ranked top 10 rookie premiere players in MUT 23. This ranking is kind of factoring in having NCAT players for the most part because you are going to have them as NCAT.

Top 10 - Desmond Ridder - QB - 86 OVR

The first player on this list is Desmond Ridder, he is definitely the best rookie premiere QB, this card is really good, he got 83 speed, 84 throw power, 85 short throw accuracy, 84 medium, and 86 deep. Desmond Ridder is extremely balanced and a really solid quarterback to pick. In Madden 23 beta, Escape Artist is an X-factor, even though QBs might have some decent speed, it’s not anywhere close to what it is in Madden 22 with a skateboarder type of speed. The 83 speed on Ridder will be good.

Top 9 - Trey Mcbride - TE - 86 OVR

The number nine rookie premiere player for MUT 23 is Trey Mcbride, the main reason that he ranked here is due to the speed, he has 83 speed, this is well based on other players, with the fact that someone like Jaylen Waddle only has 86 speed and this is among the fastest wide receivers. So Mcbride is going to be one of the fastest tight ends in the game, when you are talking about getting a rookie premiere with your tokens, you need to consider how many Madden 23 coins you are going to spend on a player. Kyle Pitts is incredible and also expensive, you can pick Mcbride at some point, he has good speed and catch in traffic.

Top 8 - Jordan Davis - DT - 86 OVR

Jordan Davis is a huge defensive tackle, the pass rush is probably not that important for defensive tackles, for the way that Madden 23 beta worked, they are really players coming around the edge, Jordan Davis is going to be insane versus the run, he also has a really good speed for a DT at 76, and 83 acceleration rating, then 88 strength, 86 block shedding, he is a big space easter and weight matters a lot in that d-line. Jordan Davis is a must-have player to get for your team.

Top 7 - Kayvon Thibodeaux - ROLB - 86 OVR

For the number seven, we have Kayvon Thibodeaux, he got 82 speed, which seems good for a linebacker, 86 acceleration, 82 strength, 78 block shedding, and 84 power move. Travon Walker’s card is a little bit quicker, combining other stats, Thibodeaux is more overall balanced with a slightly less speed and better power move. Compared to other outside linebackers, Thibodeaux is not a bad option.

Top 6 - Ikem Ekwonu - LT - 86 OVR

Picking an offensive lineman is a great idea and you are gonna go with Ikem Ekwonu, because he is the biggest out of all the linemen in terms of weight, he also has 86 strength, 84 pass block and 84 run block, so he is extremely balanced in pass block and run block, and he is huge as well.

Top 5 - Daxton Hill - FS - 86 OVR

Nextly, Daxton Hill is at the number five spot of the top 10 rookie premieres. He has 86 speed, 87 acceleration, 85 man coverage, 79 zone coverage, and 84 hit power. So Daxton Hill has pretty much the same speed as those really fast receivers, which will help you. He is six feet tall, if you want to use him and throw him in like strong safety, then you can submit a linebacker in certain formations, it’s maybe not the worst idea ever to get an 86 speed card out there at six feet tall with pretty good hit power.

Top 4 - Chris Olave - WR - 86 OVR

For the number four, we are going to go with Chris Olave, he is a wide receiver with 86 speed, which is the main reason that makes him ranked so high, he also has 82 catching traffic, 85 spectacular catch, 81 short, 83 medium and 84 deep throw accuracy.

Top 3 - Breece Hall - HB - 86 OVR

Moving on to our top 3 best rookie premiere players for Madden 23, Breece Hall has 85 speed, this is super good in the game, he also has 86 acceleration, 84 agility rating, and 87 carrying. He is got the biggest running back but he is 220 pounds, if you play on next-gen Madden 23, weight matters quite a bit when it comes to tackling, he also has 70 catching, and 86 change of direction, this should really help you take advantage of the new one cut system. Then he has 84 trucking, and 79 break tackle. Having that 87 overall Barry Sanders card with the All-Madden edition is really good,  but this card actually stacks up versus Barry Sanders.

Top 2 - Tyouan Thornton - WR - 86 OVR

The number two player is Tyouan Thornton, also the best wide receiver out of these rookie premieres, Tyouan Thornton barely edging out Chris Olave and that's mostly because of the route running. Tyouan Thornton has 84 jumping, 88 catching, 84 catching traffic, 85 spectacular catch, and then the route running through 87, 84, and 83. If you're wondering if there is a height difference between Tyouan Thornton and Chris Olave, it's six two versus six one, so Thornton does edge him out by one inch and he's gonna be slightly better.

Top 1 - Kaiir Elam - CB - 86 OVR

Lastly, coming at the best rookie premiere player in MUT 23, it is going to be Kaiir Elam, he has 86 speed with 84 acceleration, he's six foot two at cornerback with 86 zone, 86 press, 85 jump, and 83 play recognition. Having the 86 zone coverage with how the beta played is really well, all we have to go off of in terms of trying to correlate these ratings with the gameplay and all that zones were really good.
