New World New Best World Gear Farm Guide| Mob Level Increase & Drop Gearscore Increase

In this New World gear farm guide, we want to talk about an interesting change that has been brought to our attention in the July PTR, this change or rather a combination of changes combined will change entirely how we level our expertise where we farm New World gold and gear potentially and add items to our arsenal that previously we thought did not exist or couldn't exist.

Let's first look at the notes that we were talking about, then, have a closer look at what exactly it will affect, what this will mean for us, and how we play.

All enemies now have a chance to drop items at +100 gearscore higher then normal. Level 59-63 have an increased chance. (The 600 max and expertise still applies to these rolls.)

The following list of named enemies have been updated to level 63 so that they have the potential to grant 600 Gear Score drop rewards for players.

East Illurmin – Corrupted Excubitor Luca
West Illurmin – Pit Lord Daehi
The Congregation – Mirepaw
Lambent Muskeg – The Blight Bringer
Maria’s Rest – Smoothbore Samuel
Ska Makogai – Thorn of the Heartwood
Serenity Monastery – Gnasher
Skysong Crypt – Ivan the Inevitable, Mordici the Mortician Rosellen, Farley

Previously in New World, there have been items on the New World database that are almost godly by far best in the slot for multiple classes in the game's early days before we completely understood how things work, we would spend hours upon hours hunting, but as we learned more about the game and how it worked, we realized that although in the game files, they were theoretically 600 gear score, it was actually impossible for them to drop anywhere close to 600, let alone 590 now to be upgraded, however, with these changes to both potential loot ceiling from the 63 mobs and the change to many of the world name mobs leveled to 63, a door is open to a massive amount of gearing possibilities, these items that previously were impossible to roll out at 590 to 600, now can and farming these creatures has meaning and purpose, many of the best in slot items that we wished for, it is not only going to give us tons of fun farming hours with the potential for actual sweet rewards, but it will also add a ton of variation to our potential gear options while we're working on our builds, so let's have a closer look at some of the creatures on this list and some of the items that used to be impossible, but with the July ptr now are quite possible.

Beginning (500-600 gearscore)

25 Strength
Thrust Ward IV: +5% Thrust Damage Absorption.
Keen Awareness: +11% critical chance.
Hearty: You have 9.6% more max stamina.
Refreshing: Reduces max cooldowns by 2.8%.

Band of Daemon Dusk (500-600 Gearscore)

10 Constitution.
15 Intelligence.
Lightning Ward IV: +6% Lightning Damage Absorption.
Keen Awareness: +11% critical chance.
Refreshing: Reduces max cooldowns by 2.8%.
Hearty: You have 9.6% more max stamina.

Signum Phalarae (500-600 Gearscore)

30 Intelligence
Cruel IV: +12% damage against targets with an active Crowd Control status effect. (Slow, Stun, Root)
Chain Lightning: Basic attack hits trigger a Lightning chain targets and deals 11% weapon damage. (2s cooldown)
Vicious: +11% critical damage.
Keen: +11% critical chance.
