Grand Eldritch Ember is a special currency item in Path of Exile that you use to add a powerful hidden bonus called the Grand Searing Exarch implicit modifier to certain armor pieces like Body Armour, Boots, Gloves, or Helmets. When you use it, it replaces the item’s old hidden bonus (except some special ones called Eater of Worlds). This makes your gear stronger and more unique.
You use the Grand Eldritch Ember by right-clicking it and then left-clicking on a normal, magic, or rare Body Armour, Boots, Gloves, or Helmet to add the special Grand Searing Exarch implicit modifier. This will replace any old hidden bonuses except the Eater of Worlds ones, making your gear better. You cannot use it on items influenced by Shaper, Elder, or Elderslayer.
You can get Grand Eldritch Ember in several ways: by killing monsters that are influenced by the Searing Exarch in special maps, by defeating a boss called the Black Star, or by making it yourself with special recipes using other items like Emperor's Luck cards. You can also trade with other players to get it.
Grand Eldritch Ember drops from monsters that have the Searing Exarch’s influence, which appear in Searing Exarch maps. The better (higher tier) the map, the higher your chance of finding one. It can also drop from the Black Star boss. The exact chance is rare and depends on the map’s level and monster groups.
You can craft Grand Eldritch Ember using these materials:
5 Emperor’s Luck cards
Or by exchanging a random set of divination cards called The Void
