How To Defeat Bosses In New World Garden Of Genesis Expedition

1st Boss (The Caretaker)

Phase 1

He basically has one move that you will need to dodge every about 5 to 10 seconds, he will shoot out a group of dark vines from his hand that will deal a pretty good amount of damage especially if you're a light armor with a low constitution. This move is fairly easy to dodge as you can see him charge it up. But other than that he is just a tank and spake until the second phase.

Phase 2

His second phase will initiate when he gets to about 60 health. The Caretaker will run to the middle of the room and raise an arena of roots about 10 meters away from him trapping everyone inside or outside depending on where you are when he raises the roots. After he raises the roots, he will try and jump into the air and smackdown onto the ground. If he does so, it will one-shot everyone. If not one shot that close. The mechanic here is to take down his stamina bar to zero before he can lift off the ground. The stamina bar can be seen right below his health bar. This was fairly easy when we got the hang of it. As heavy attack backstabs are very efficient and after you break your stamina, the Caretaker will rotate through three different abilities.

3 Abilities Of Caretaker

1. The first is where he dives under the ground and jumps up at a random party member dealing a substantial amount of damage, this is fairly easy to dodge. If you just stay far away from where he is when he is under the ground and you can also block it.

2. The second move is when he summons a large oil-like monster that dives up and down to the arena in a straight line from where he summoned him. This oil monster's hitbox was very difficult to read, but it could be dodged by just dodging through the side of it or just watching it as he summons it.

3. The third move is the caretaker will spew out a storm of green bugs that will float around the arena represented by a green cloud of mist. You have to avoid this at all costs, as it will deal a lot of damage over time if you stand in it and will kill you probably within 3-4 seconds.

After about 45 seconds to 1 minute inside this root arena, the roots will go down and there will be about 20 to 30 ads outside waiting for you. This is where it gets fairly difficult. The second phase that you just went through is going to happen again, but it is triggered by the health of the boss, not the time. Because of this, the best thing you can do is slow down DPS in the second phase when inside the arena for the first time. This will give you the amount of time to destroy all the ads before he summons the root arena again. This is very important because you do not want to be trying to break the Caretaker stamina while ads are surrounding you inside the arena. Keep in mind that his move will be the same even when the arena roots are down. So when he takes down the arena roots and there are ads everywhere, he will still be driving around from the oil monster and spewing that green mist.

2nd Boss (The Blighted Greenskeeper)

Phase 1

The final boss the blight greenskeeper is a really fun fight. In her first phase, she will rotate through 5 different abilities.

5 Abilities of Greenskeeper

1. The first is a screech ability that looks like a black mist. This will do a lot of damage and may one-shot you if you're in light armor with low health.

2. Her second ability is multiple seeds that she shoots out of her hands dealing a moderate amount of damage to a random target.

3. Her third is a spray of aoe green poison that follows whichever target she chooses and although this is easy to dodge. Because of the fact that is slower than a character dodge, it does come out very fast. So be on the lookout for that.

4. Her fourth ability is a pair of poison balls that roll around the arena, dealing a small amount of damage but poisoning whoever they hit.

5. Her fifth and final ability is a short-range headbutt, dealing a lot of damage but it is fairly easy to dodge.

Phase 2

In her second phase, she will dive underground and summon two ads. The ads are easy to take care of but you have to watch out for when she tunnels out from underneath the ground. As it will most likely one-shot you if she comes up from underneath you.

Phase 3

In her third phase, she will begin throwing large boulders around the arena. Keep in mind that in this phase, she will still be using her 5 abilities from her first phase. The bowlers are there to protect you as they will shield you from when she channels her storm and erupts. When you see her raising up and summoning the storm run behind the closest boulder to protect yourself from the explosion. The explosion will end up destroying the boulder and you are free to continue dpsing her.

She will just be rotating through each phase randomly until you kill her. There will be a lot going on sometimes, so just be looking all over for what may kill you and be aware of your surroundings.
