Diablo Immortal Monk Beginners Guide - Full Skills & Abilities Breakdown for DI Monk

When playing a Monk class in Diablo Immortal, you have access to primary skills when you level up and farm some DI items

Primary Attacks

You have two primary attacks, after a certain point, you can use your ultimate ability.

- Deadly Reach: project lines of piercing force that deal damage to the target and enemies behind the target. Release Force would be your ultimate enhanced Deadly Reach for 12 seconds, causing it to also knock enemies away, you also gain a shield so that could be a tactical maybe in PvP or during a big boss fight which absorbs damage to 20% of your maximum life that would scale with your gear.

- Fists of Thunder: teleport to a nearby enemy and unleash damage, so when you have epiphany active, you can kind of teleport to enemies, so you're just constantly jumping on enemies. Then the ultimate enhanced Fists of Thunder for 12 seconds, teleporting to an enemy also and generating a thunderstorm, you also gain a shield for 20 and increasing your maximum life for three seconds. This is a good ability that gives you like AOE and then one gives you mobility right which would also be good for PvP.

Skills & Abilities

- Cyclone Strike: generate a vortex of wind, which pulls enemies in and deals damage, charging increases the range and damage, there's a lot of ways to augment the spell increase the damage, but it's basically like Cyclone Strike from Diablo 3.

- Exploding Palm: attack enemies in a direction for 360 damage and inflict bleed on them, enemies that die while bleeding explodes for exploding for a giant AOE, enemies can only be hit five times within one second by these explosions, so they kind of cap it, but it's still really fun and really good to use.

- Flying Kick: kick forward dealing damage to your enemies in a path and knocking them away, flying kick can rebound off walls, dealing additional damage, and you have three charges, players may only be affected by this once every three seconds, you jump and then you push it again and you can kick off the wall, it's pretty wild and you can do some sick combos with it, and it kind of has like a little skill cap.

- Imprisoned Fist: attack enemies in a direction for a thousand damage and immobilize them for five seconds, so it's just a targeted ability and it just roots everything in the giant box around it, which is great for crowd control and groups of enemies, especially if you want to lock them down.

- Inner Sanctuary: place a runic circle of protection for nine seconds that reduces all damage taken by you and your allies, so it's a nice support skill that is similar to the D3 one. It has a little bit of cooler effect almost like a bubble and then you have like this Monk in the middle meditating, so the spell effect's way cooler, it does help your group so that can be used in a variety of situations.

- Mystic Allies: summon two allies to fight by your side for 10 seconds, they also have 100 of your life, scaling with your health and dealing damage with their attacks. This is a great single target ability and one of the best Monk skills to use, it kind of helps circumvent the single target problem, and it's just a general good spell.

- Seven-Sided Strike: dash rapidly between enemies, striking seven times for damage, additional hits the same target area only 50 of normal damage, they should take it away where it does normal damage on a single target, because the single target is kind of weak on a lot of characters, but maybe it's for PvP at balancing.

- Shield of Zen: protect yourself or an ally with a shield absorbing 2500 damage for five seconds, the shield also prevents crowd control a lot of times, you can telegraph enemies crowd control and you can pop the buff to block it, protecting an ally will cause you to charge to their location and grant you both the shield, so that's really cool and kind of like a support skill. It gives you movement to boot, so if you don't have the flying kick ability or whatever, you just want to teleport around the map.

- Wave of Light: crush enemies in an area of the wave of light and it does 2500 damage with two charges, place it around your character and rock the bells. Wave of Light has little holy crackling effects that do one percent damage each, it has a chance to be cast twice or it leaves a dot on the battlefield or it pulls enemies in.

- Wave Strike: unleash a wave of energy, carrying enemies hit within it, and explodes for damage, when fully charged, the waves will also knock enemies away, there are legendary gems to increase the charge time, and all that increase the charge damage, it extends the range even farther, so you can play like a ranged Monk.
