WoW Delve Tier List | Fastest & Easiest Delves in Midnight Season 2

August 25, 2026

Season 2 of WoW Midnight has arrived alongside Patch 12.1 Curse of Ulta'ek, and Delves are once again a major pillar of the endgame for solo players. Between two brand-new Delves on the Coiled Isle, the fearsome new Nemesis boss Azta'rec, a refreshed Delver's Journey, and Valera's expanded toolkit including powerful new poisons, there is plenty of fresh content to sink your teeth into. Picking the right Delves for your weekly Bountiful clears and knowing which ones are the fastest to farm can save you hours across the season. In this WoW Midnight Season 2 Delve Tier List, we will walk you through the current Delve meta, showing which are the fastest and easiest Delves to solo farm, best specs for Delves, and how to squeeze the most rewards out of every key you spend.

WoW Midnight Season 2 Best Delve Tier List

Delves remain one of the strongest solo pillars in Midnight, and Season 2 keeps the formula that worked while adding just enough novelty to feel fresh. Gearing paths have not been changed much, so you can still earn champion loot, one piece of hero loot per bountiful run, and Great Vault contributions from your weekly clears. Item levels have been bumped up for Season 2, and Bountiful Delves come back online in week two after the pre-season. With that foundation in place, let's take a look at what has actually changed heading into 12.1 before ranking every Delve worth your time.

Changes To Delves in WoW Midnight Season 2

  • New Delves on the Coiled Isle - Patch 12.1 brings three fresh Delves located on the Coiled Isle. Ring of Glory and Nal'dor Island are the two standard additions, while Venomfall Deeps hosts the new Nemesis boss. Each regular Delve has three unique story variants, some faster than others. Nal'dor Island even drops the Delver's Arcane Golem mount from a sturdy chest with a 100% drop rate.

  • Azta'rec, the New Nemesis Boss - The Season 2 Nemesis fight takes place in Venomfall Deeps against Azta'rec. Killing him on single question mark difficulty rewards the Apothic Petagia 3D back piece and the Corrosive Victory Toy. Double question mark difficulty grants the Poisonous title, and soloing him earns the Apothic Soul Crusher mount. The Fabled Hall of Fame requires soloing him on double question mark within the first week of Season 2, a much fairer setup than last season's first 4,000 race.

  • Refreshed Story Variants for Older Delves - Older Delves also get some attention. Tool of the Man, Collegium Calamity, The Grudge Pit, Pahelium Plaza, Shadow Guard Point, The Dark Way, The Shadow Enclave, and The Twilight Crypts each receive brand-new story variants tied to the 12.1 snake and venom theme, keeping the returning content fresh.

  • Valera's Power Boost - Valera can now push up to level 80, and she gains a new poison system tied to a short quest line in Silvermoon. The standout choice is Bursting Toad Toxin, which currently sits as her highest damage ability across every role thanks to its AoE poison ticks.

  • Delver's Journey Milestones - The new Delver's Journey mirrors last season's structure but offers fresh rewards. Renown 4 opens Gilded Jackpot for extra Mythcrest drops, Renown 5 grants the Corroded Soul Crusher mount, Renown 7 updates the Delver Bot 7001 with Midnight teleports, and Renown 10 rewards the Snake Eater title.

  • Corrosive Powers - A brand-new borrowed power system called the Corrosive Codex lets you spend Corrosive Souls at the Vaults of Ulta'ek to gain powers that apply to both open world content and Delves. Ophidian Maw stands out as the go-to choice for Delve farming since it executes any poisoned non-boss enemy under 20% health.

With the changes covered, let's get into which Delves you should actually be running.

Fastest/Easiest Delves To Solo in WoW Midnight Season 2

The list below ranks every relevant Delve from fastest and easiest to slowest, with star ratings for the qualities that matter most in Season 2.

1. Collegium Calamity

Collegium Calamity is arguably the strongest Delve in the entire game right now. It runs quickly, plays cleanly, and every story variant is at least serviceable. The new poison-themed variant does not even have a final boss, which trims run time even further. If it pops up as your Bountiful of the day, you never need to think twice, just dive straight in and get it done. It works on pretty much any spec and offers consistent completion times across the board.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

2. Ring of Glory

The brand-new Ring of Glory is compact, direct, and avoids the cluttered environment problems that plague the Grudge Pit. It functions like a better Grudge Pit, taking place in one big arena but without a suffocating number of objectives crammed into a tiny space. Every story variant plays well, with Adopt-a-thon being the standout, and the freshness of the Delve keeps weekly clears enjoyable. Whenever it appears as a Bountiful, run it without hesitation.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

3. The Dark Way (Ogre Powered variant)

When The Dark Way rolls the Ogre Powered story variant, it becomes one of the quickest and most linear runs in the game. The route is straightforward and objectives flow naturally without any awkward backtracking or fiddly puzzles. On any other variant, though, quality drops off sharply, so this one is only worth queuing when the right story lines up.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

4. Pahelium Plaza (Holding the Line variant)

Pahelium Plaza sits in a hostile spot on the map, so simply getting there takes a bit of travel. On the Holding the Line variant, however, objectives clean up nicely and the run flows well. It is worth the flight time for a smooth clear on this variant. On other stories, this Delve tends to feel clunky and slow, so skip it unless Holding the Line is active.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

5. Gulf of Memory (Sporosaurus Special variant)

Gulf of Memory is a story-related Delve you will run at some point, and on the Sporosaurus Special variant it becomes a genuinely solid clear. Like most great Delves, it turns linear and simple, with minimal traps or fiddly objectives to slow you down. On any other variant, it drops out of the meta entirely, so save your key for a better option when the story does not match.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

6. Sunken Cell Sanctum (Core of the Problem variant)

Located in the Void Storm zone, Sunken Cell Sanctum plays reasonably well when the Core of the Problem story variant is active. The pacing is decent and the objectives are not overly punishing, though it does not top the list on any single metric. Treat it as a solid backup choice when the top-tier Delves are not available.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

7. Twilight Crypts (Party Crasher variant)

Twilight Crypts in Zul'Aman only really works on the Party Crasher variant. On that specific story, it plays smoothly enough to be a solid weekly Bountiful pick and fits nicely into a rotation of quick clears. Any other variant lands in skip territory, so keep an eye on the daily rotation.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

8. The Grudge Pit

The Grudge Pit is small and compact, but its cluttered environment and heavy objective load slow it down compared to Ring of Glory. It still holds value as a Valera XP farm thanks to the density of Mislaid Curiosities crammed into a tight arena, especially when paired with Dun Dun's Favor on a stealth class. For actual reward clears, though, better options exist.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

9. Nal'dor Island (Speaking Their Language variant)

Nal'dor Island is the weaker of the two new Delves. It is not terrible on the Speaking Their Language variant, but on other variants it plays sluggishly. Use your Bountiful keys elsewhere unless nothing better is available. It is worth running once for the guaranteed Delver's Arcane Golem mount from the sturdy chest.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

10. Tool of the Man

Tool of the Man received one of the new snake and venom story variants but does not really shine on any of them compared to the top picks. It is a run of last resort when nothing else on the daily rotation appeals. Playable, but rarely the best use of a Coffer Key.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

11. Shadow Guard Point

Shadow Guard Point sits in the middle-to-lower tier of the current rotation. It has functional story variants but nothing that pushes it into fast-clear territory. Save it for daily quest completions rather than weekly Bountiful spending.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

12. The Shadow Enclave

The Shadow Enclave is another Delve that only becomes viable on a couple of specific story variants, and none of them elevate it into speedrun territory. Objectives tend to feel drawn out and the layout is not particularly friendly to fast pulls. It is workable, but rarely a first pick.

  • Speed: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

13. Venomfall Deeps (Nemesis Delve)

Venomfall Deeps is the home of Azta'rec, the new Nemesis boss, so it is more of a challenge target than a farming Delve. Approach it when you want the mount, title, or Fabled achievement rather than for speed clears, since the Simon Says intermission mechanic slows runs down considerably.

  • Speed: ⭐☆☆☆☆

  • Ease: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Story Variant Consistency: N/A

  • Boss Difficulty: ⭐⭐☆☆☆

  • Overall: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (for rewards, not farming)

How To Maximize Your Delve Farming in WoW Midnight?

With the rankings sorted, the next step is squeezing the most possible reward out of every Delve you run.

Run the Optimal Valera Build

For general Delve running, equip Bursting Toad Toxin as your poison. It is currently Valera's highest damage ability across every role, often accounting for 30% or more of her total damage. Pair it with Corrosive Biosphere for combat curio and Dun Dun's Favor for utility curio. Dun Dun's Favor also lets you walk over Mislaid Curiosities to auto-loot them, a huge quality of life upgrade.

Match Valera's Role to Yours

  • If you play a tank, run DPS Valera for faster clears in standard Delves.

  • If you play a melee DPS, use healer Valera for safety, or tank Valera if your gear is lacking.

  • If you play a ranged DPS, tank Valera works well since you can attack from a safe distance.

  • If you play a healer, choose between DPS Valera for speed or tank Valera for a chill run.

  • For Azta'rec specifically, tanks and DPS should run healer Valera for the healing orbs.

Grab the Right Corrosive Powers

For standard Delve farming, Ophidian Maw is a no-brainer since it executes any poisoned non-boss enemy at 20% health or lower. Pair it with Viper and Grasp for a farming build that constantly pulls stray casters into melee range for easy cleanup. For Azta'rec, swap to A Cursed Poison as a safety net against missed interrupts.

Chase Weekly Trove Hunter's Bounties

Complete the Nightmarish Task weekly quest through the price system to earn a Scalebound Herald's Flute. Use it inside a Delve at a checkpoint to summon Azta'rec, who drops an egg containing the bounty. In Ring of Glory, use it when the final boss appears since there is no checkpoint. This guarantees a heroic item drop.

Level Valera Efficiently

The Grudge Pit remains the top Valera XP farm thanks to its compact arena filled with Mislaid Curiosities. With Dun Dun's Favor equipped, jump on a stealth class like Rogue or Druid, sneak past everything, walk over each curiosity, then leave and reset. Higher tier Delves give better XP per curiosity, so run the highest tier you have access to.

Stack Buffs Before Big Runs

Before tackling higher tier Delves or the Nemesis fight, eat at Valera's campfire for a 5% main stat buff and stack it with personal food. Weapon oils, flasks, combat potions, and drums all apply. Also check for the Blessing of Potency buff from completed Delves, which grants 10% secondary stats for a full day.

Use Two Great Add-Ons

Delve Companion adds a proper Delve tab to your adventure guide, and Delve Speed Tracker shows which Delves are fastest based on data from other players. Both are extremely useful for planning weekly clears.

Prioritize Bountifuls on Top-Tier Delves

Save your Restored Coffer Keys for Collegium Calamity, Ring of Glory, or one of the situational S-tier variants like Ogre Powered Dark Way. Coffer Key Shards are capped at 600 per week, so you only get six keys through shards alone plus two more purchased from Nalaida Rivergleam at Renown 6.

Best Classes & Specs for Delves in Midnight Season 2

Delves are solo content. Any class with enough pacing, time, progression, and effort can be good in delves or do high-tier delves. That's what the content's designed for. It's fun, it's relaxing, and it has a bit of difficulty to it, but it's really great solo content and small group content. Here we just want to talk about the classes that excel in that content and that you probably don't need to have such a stringent gear curve to excel at.

Demon Hunter (All Specs)

Every version of Demon Hunter has some form of sustain and life steal, letting you pack-to-pack without stopping. Between double jumps, gliding, dashes, and multiple sigils for crowd control, you cover the three most important qualities in Delve content. Vengeance is the top pick, with Devourer close behind and Havoc still strong. It is the class where you can't really go wrong regardless of spec.

Death Knight (All Specs)

Death Knight plays like a slightly less mobile Demon Hunter with more raw power. Blood DK brings massive sustain, life steal, and control through grips, silences, and slows. Unholy shines with AoE freedom plague damage, and Frost works fine even if it lags slightly behind the other two. Every spec functions well in the Delve environment.

Guardian Druid

Guardian Druid packs the tankiness, AoE damage, and control needed for high-tier Delves. Form switching adds mobility and stealth, letting you skip past packs when objectives allow. Combined with entangles, roots, and self-healing built into the tank kit, it becomes one of the most complete Delve specs in the game. The other Druid specs fall well short in comparison.

Protection Paladin

Prot Paladin brings tankiness plus a full toolkit of hybrid utility. Blessings like Sacrifice and Protection, Lay on Hands, taunts, stuns, dispels, and Divine Steed give you an answer to almost every situation. Ret Paladin also deserves an honorable mention for fast weekly Bountiful clears, though its slightly higher gear curve keeps it a step behind Prot.

Demonology Warlock

Demonology Warlock is the strongest caster option thanks to its demon army. Different pets provide DPS, banishments, curses, tank duty, life steal, and burst damage on demand, giving you flexibility no other ranged class matches. Combined with utility like fears, healthstones, and Fel Fury, it becomes an incredibly versatile spec for solo content.

Prot Warrior & Beast Mastery Hunter

Prot Warrior deserves a shout as a slightly weaker DK or Demon Hunter clone that is still an absolute menace in Delves. Beast Mastery Hunter rounds out the honorable mentions with tanky pet options, range, healing, and versatility, making it a reliable pick for players of any skill level.

Healer Specs Worth Considering

Healers have become one of the best options for Delves this season thanks to Valera's aggressive scaling when you are specced into healing. Void Weaver Discipline Priest and Preservation Evoker stand out because they contribute meaningful damage on their own while Valera does the heavy lifting. Running tank Valera with pocket heals is the cozy chill route, while DPS Valera with kiting is the speedrun option.

Season 2 of Midnight rewards players who plan their runs rather than grinding at random. Stick with Collegium Calamity and Ring of Glory as your bread-and-butter Bountiful targets, watch story variants for the situational picks, and lean on Bursting Toad Toxin plus Ophidian Maw to trivialize almost every pull. Combine that with a strong solo class like Vengeance DH or Guardian Druid, and you will fly through weekly clears while stockpiling gear for the rest of the season.
