Diablo 4 Stone of Jordan Affixes, Drop Location & How to Get

Diablo 4 Season 15 brings back many classic legacy unique items from previous Diablo series, and the Stone of Jordan (SOJ) is one of the most iconic returning endgame rings. First famous in Diablo 2, this legacy unique ring returns in Diablo 4 with reworked stats and powerful unique mechanics, becoming a top-tier survivability and damage-boosting gear for all classes. This guide will focus on D4 Stone of Jordan stats, affixes, eligible classes, drop locations, acquisition methods and build.

Diablo 4 Stone of Jordan Farm Guide (Season 15)

The Stone of Jordan is a legacy unique ring, permanently added to Diablo 4 starting from Season 15. It retains classic item design while adjusting affixes to fit Diablo 4’s current item system, with both basic fixed stats and a game-changing unique special effect.

Basic Fixed Stats

  • 179 Attack

  • 167 Defense

  • 9.0% Critical Strike Damage

  • 6% reduced Mana cost for skills (Sorceress Only)

Core Unique Affixes

  • +1 Rank to all equipped skills: A universal powerful bonus that boosts all active and passive skill levels of the player, improving overall skill effectiveness, damage and utility.

  • Universal Resistance Synchronization: The signature mechanic of Season 15’s Stone of Jordan. It makes all player resistances equal to the player’s highest single resistance. This completely simplifies resistance gearing and eliminates the trouble of balancing multiple resistance stats.

  • Elemental Damage Boost: It increases the damage of the element that matches your highest resistance, bringing significant offensive bonuses while enhancing defensive performance.

As a legacy unique item, its affixes are fine-tuned for Diablo 4’s meta, different from its original version in Diablo 2, while reserving its classic core positioning as a versatile endgame ring. It can also be upgraded to Mythic rarity in Season 15 for further stat improvement.

Who Can Use It?

In Diablo 4 Season 15, the Stone of Jordan is classified as an all-class legacy unique item. Every playable class in the game can equip and benefit from this ring, including Barbarian, Druid, Spiritborn, Sorcerer, Necromancer, Rogue, Paladin and Warlock. It has no class usage restrictions, which makes it one of the most versatile unique rings in Season 15. Its resistance synchronization and skill rank bonus fit all build types, whether melee, ranged, spell or summoner builds. The exclusive mana cost reduction stat further makes it an excellent core gear for Sorceress builds.

Stone of Jordan Drop Location in D4 Season 15

In current stage, the target drop location or boss for Stone of Jordan has not been announced in Diablo 4 Season 15 PTR. We'll update here once the season officially launches. As a world random drop legacy unique, it can spawn in all open-world gameplay scenarios of both Eternal and Seasonal Realms. High-probability drop scenarios include open-world enemy kills, elite monster packs, shrine interactions, challenge dungeons, HellTide activities, and random demonic ambushes. It may also drop in endgame content such as Pit runs and Torment difficulty open-world activities.

How to Get Stone of Jordan in Diablo 4 Season 15?

1. Random World Loot Drops

The basic SOJ farming method is random world looting. Players can get the Stone of Jordan by defeating any enemies, opening random treasure chests, and breaking destructible objects in the open world. Higher monster difficulty and world tier will greatly improve the drop rate of this unique ring.

2. Targeted Endgame Farming

To improve farming efficiency, players are recommended to farm high-difficulty Overland Ambush content in Season 15, especially Torment-difficulty challenge dungeons and Helltide events. These new activities have richer unique item drop pools and higher elite spawn rates, effectively increasing the chance of obtaining the Stone of Jordan.

Season 15 adds 9 legacy unique items in total. The expanded unique loot pool dilutes the individual drop rate of the Stone of Jordan. Pure open-world random farming has low targeted drop efficiency, so targeted high-end content farming is strongly recommended over casual grinding.

Community testing verifies that Torment 10+ Helltides, elite dense challenge dungeons, and Pit 110+ runs yield the highest legacy unique drop rates, far exceeding regular monster and chest drops.

How to Get Mythic Stone of Jordan in D4?

Players can upgrade an ancestral unique Stone of Jordan to Mythic rarity via the new crafting system. This upgrade is guaranteed to succeed, retaining all original affixes and improving stat performance. The latest PTR update removes the huge gold cost for Mythic crafting, only requiring Resplendent Sparks to complete the upgrade, greatly lowering the acquisition threshold. Mass random Mythic crafting has a chance to roll out the Stone of Jordan. According to PTR test data, the drop chance of iconic Mythic items (including upgraded SOJ) is roughly 10% per crafting batch, with a about 20% chance to obtain Greater Affixes. Besides random bulk crafting, players can use the Cube’s targeted upgrade mechanic. By selecting an ancestral unique ring as the base item, you can stably upgrade it to Mythic rarity. This is the only semi-targeted way to obtain a high-quality Stone of Jordan, avoiding completely random loot RNG.

Other Uses of Stone of Jordan (Unique Charm Crafting)

A major new addition in Season 15 is the ability to convert the Stone of Jordan into a Unique Charm. Along with other iconic legacy uniques like The Furnace, In-Geom and Nemesis Bracers, SOJ is eligible for unique charm crafting. This allows players to preserve the item’s iconic bonuses and core mechanics in the charm slot, freeing up the ring equipment slot for other powerful endgame rings and greatly expanding build flexibility.

D4 Season 15 Stone of Jordan Build Recommendations

Single-element focused endgame builds are the top-tier beneficiaries of the Stone of Jordan in Season 15. These pure fire, cold, lightning, poison, or shadow builds fully utilize the ring’s two core mechanics: universal resistance synchronization and targeted elemental damage boost. Players only need to stack a single dominant resistance stat to gain maxed-out all-element defenses, while also receiving extra damage buffs for their main damage type. This build style eliminates the hassle of multi-resistance gearing and frees numerous affix slots for offensive stats, making it ideal for Sorceress, Necromancer, and Warlock endgame setups. Matching with Leoric’s Crown can supercharge gem effects and further amplify resistance and damage bonuses.

The Stone of Jordan has had inconsistent performance across previous Diablo franchise entries. In Diablo 3, the item was underpowered and nearly useless in early seasons, only becoming viable in late-game D3 patches with significant reworks. In contrast, Diablo 4 Season 15’s reworked SOJ features reliable resistance synchronization and universal skill buffs, making it a consistently strong endgame option from mid to late season, fixing the inconsistent utility issue of its Diablo 3 iteration.
