Mythic Sigils
Mythic Sigils are new items in Lord of Hatred that enhance your endgame experience. They start dropping at Torment 10 difficulty and have a game-changing effect: reducing the number of Charms needed to complete a Set Bonus. Normally, you need 5 Charms to complete a 5-piece Set Bonus. With a Mythic Sigil, you only need 4 Charms to get the full bonus. This lets you mix sets—for example, using 4 pieces of a 5-piece Set and 2 pieces of a 3-piece Set—to create powerful hybrid builds, similar to Diablo II’s set mixing. Mythic Sigils are essential for endgame build diversity, as they let you combine different set effects without sacrificing power. They’re also valuable: some Sigils sell for over 269 million Gold to vendors.
Mythic Item Changes in Diablo 4 LoH
Blizzard has made massive changes to Mythic Items and Uniques in Lord of Hatred to make them more customizable and fun to chase. Here are the key updates:
1. Fewer Fixed Affixes, More Customization
Uniques and Mythic Items now have fewer permanently fixed affixes. Instead, more affixes roll from a pool of options, giving you room to chase “perfect” rolls for your build. This means no two Mythic Items are exactly the same—you can farm for better stats and tailor them to your playstyle.
2. Tempered Affixes Overhaul
Tempered affixes have been completely reworked, and Mythic Items can now be tempered (previously, only Legendaries could be tempered). Visit any Blacksmith to add or modify tempered affixes on your Mythic gear, giving you an extra layer of customization to boost your power.
3. Transfiguration (Sanctification 2.0)
The Horadric Cube now offers transfiguration—a system similar to Season of Divine Intervention’s Sanctification, but with more options and less risk. For Mythic Items, transfiguration can add powerful bonuses (like El’Druin’s +6 Item Quality). There’s also an amulet-only transfiguration that grants a bonus Legendary Power, which you can re-roll as long as you have the rare materials.
How to Get Mythic Unique Items in D4 Lord of Hatred & Season 13
Mythic Items are rare, but there are reliable ways to farm them in LoH and Season 13. Here’s how to get them:
1. Season of the Reckoning Objectives
Season 13 has over 100 objectives, including fishing, killing bosses, and completing War Plans. Progressing through the Season Rank (which has 14 Resplendent Sparks and massive rewards) grants you Mythic Items—including the Mythic Horadric Seal as a final reward. You’ll also get 6,400 crafting materials and 3,000 Souls to help you upgrade your Mythic gear.
2. Boss Farming
Every Lair Boss now has its own dedicated pool of Unique and Mythic Items, so you can target-farm specific Mythics by killing the right bosses, such as The Butcher and Bartuc. Use the Loot Filter to highlight Mythic Items dropped by bosses, so you don’t miss them.
3. Fishing
Fishing is a new laid-back activity in LoH, and it rewards you with Mythic Items. You can fish anywhere there’s water (even some surprising places) and trade fish with friends. While fishing has no required purpose, it’s a fun way to collect Mythics without fighting tough enemies.
4. Horadric Cube Crafting
The Horadric Cube lets you craft Mythic Items using rare materials, Legendary Runes, and other gear. It also has secret recipes (yet to be fully discovered) that may let you create exclusive Mythics. To craft Mythics, you’ll need: Legendary Runes (crafted via the Cube from regular Runes), Rare crafting materials (dropped by elites and bosses), High-quality base gear (white, blue, or yellow items with Ancestral or Greater Affixes—now usable as crafting bases).
5. Torment Difficulty and Endgame Activities
Mythic Items drop more frequently at higher Torment levels (Torment 10+). Focus on activities like:
War Plans: Chain up to 5 activities (no keys needed—the War Plan generates them for you) for high loot chances.
Revamped Pit: 5 floors with fewer dead ends, outdoor environments, and Treasure Goblins that drop Mythics. The Pit Boss spawns once you fill the progress meter, with a high chance to drop Mythic Items.
Tower: New rewards (currencies, lore books, and Mythics) for climbing the Tower, which now launches a few days after each Season starts.
