BA 2K21 MyTeam released a new promo featuring some of the best perimeter defenders in NBA 2K21 MyTeam. These new cards include dark matter Gary Payton, galaxy opal Tony Allen, pink diamond Shane Battier and diamond Jrue Holiday. In this guide, we’re going to be going over these 4 cards and we are going to be telling you are any of these 4 cards worth you picking up for your squad in specific, and if any of them are gonna be worth, probably what their price does indeed go for.

NBA 2K21 New Lockdown Defender Cards - Which Players Are Worth Buying

1. Jrue Holiday - PS/SG - 94

He’s a 6’3’’ overpowered card with 6’7’’ wingspan, three-point line, 24 all of fame badges, 23 on gold, does come with the 94 shot IQ, but only an 80 driving dunk, 86 ball and 94 speed acceleration are great, then 97 lateral quickness, he really can’t play the game because of that 44 interior defense, so that’s the downside to Jrue Holiday. He doesn’t even come with showtime, Hall of Frame range Hot Zone Hunter on gold, Playmaker is very solid and defensively going to be very elite. His tendencies are very solid, jump shot 29, dribble style on very quick. He’s going to be very cheap, He gives you more than some of those cards in some areas, but at the end of the day he’s only a 6’3 point guard in an area which you could come up against the Chris Webber’s.

2. Shane Battier - PF/SF - 96

This one was the shooting guard, 93 shot close, 93 driving dunk, you’d love to see that 92 speed, 86 point, 91 acceleration with a 97 lateral quickness. He’s got Hall of Frame Blinders, he can curry, there’s a lot to like about this card even if you’re on current gen. Defensively is absolutely incredible, 95 driving during tendency, jump shot 40 on very quick, very solid release, shifty dribble style on Next Gen makes a big difference. Pro 2 size escape, pro 3 moving behind the back, pro 2 moving crossover. He’s going to play defense at a very early level as well as offensively. He’s got a lot going for him. If you are on Next Gen, Shane Battier is going to be very good, he can fit any lineup.

3. Tony Allen - SG/SF - 98

He’s a premium clutch player in galaxy opal. Tony Allen has 6’4’’ height, 6’9’’ wingspan at the shooting guard position. He doesn’t even have hot spots right above the break, does happen from the corners, 36 hall of frame badges which is nice to see 17 on gold. 95 driving dunk, 90 speed with ball, 86 ball handle, 94 speed acceleration. He’s got great defense, with 98 perimeter, 98 lateral quickness and 97 steal. The hall of frame showtime is very valuable, hall of frame catches you Hot Start, that’s a big badge, Hot Zone Hunter, range on gold, no Deadeye, no Flexible, that comes in the car which hurts his value, just that little bit more likewise very solid, the hall of frame Ankle Breaker, Handles for Days, Quick First Steps, Stop And Go, Tight Handles, Unpluckable, all of those on hall of frame. The reason to get Tony Allen is if there’s a ton of xp challenges out and you are trying to get Vince Carter, then maybe Tony Allen is worth buying with NBA 2K21 MT. 

4. Gary Payton - PG/SG - 99

He a 6’4’’ height and 6’7’’ wingspan galaxy opal, comes with 45 Hall of Frames, 18 on gold. His player build is pretty decent. He has some brilliant stats, 97 shot close, 94 shot 3pt, 85 driving dunk, 97 speed with ball, 95 stamina, 97 speed acceleration, 99 lateral quickness, 96 interior defense can rebound the ball. The defensively is absolutely incredible, tendency-wise, what more could you want 6 wise. For animations, quick dribble of style, pro 2 size up escape packages. Pro 4 movement on the back. This Gary Payton will be overlooked by a lot of the community.
