How to Get and Use Sanctis of Kethamar in Diablo 4

Sanctis of Kethamar is a powerful unique item for Paladin Arbiter builds in Diablo 4. Where to farm Sanctis of Kethamar and how to use it? In this article, let's take a look at the D4 Sanctis of Kethamar drop location, bosses, farming methods and best builds.

Diablo 4 Sanctis of Kethamar Drop Location, Bosses, and Builds

Sanctis of Kethamar is a Paladin-exclusive Unique Amulet in Diablo 4. Its unique effects are tailored to enhance the Arbiter form, a key Paladin playstyle, by increasing both Aura Potency for support and Wing Strike damage for offense. This amulet is highly sought-after by players running Arbiter-focused builds, thanks to its combination of unique bonuses and strong base affixes.

Sanctis of Kethamar Unique Effect

When in Arbiter form, your Aura Potency increases by 30% and your Wing Strike damage increases by 200–400%.

Sanctis of Kethamar Affixes

  • +98 All Stats

  • +685 Maximum Life

  • +97.5% Chance for Arbiter to Deal Double Damage (Note: Community testing shows this does not work with Wing Strike; its exact functionality (e.g., only for Arbiter form’s landing damage) is still unclear)

  • +5 Giant Slayer

Diablo 4 Sanctis of Kethamar Drop Locations and Bosses

Sanctis of Kethamar can drop from the Lord Zir. Lord Zir can be found in Ancient's Seat, located in The Darkened Way in Fractured Peaks, just east of its capital, Kyovashad, and it’s accessible in all Torment difficulties.

How to Get Diablo 4 Sanctis of Kethamar?

Method 1: Lair Boss Farming (Lord Zir)

Boss farming is the fastest way to target Sanctis of Kethamar because Lord Zir’s loot pool includes this amulet.  Unlike some other bosses, players do not need any summoning materials to summon Lord Zir. You can directly enter The Darkened Way and challenge him. However, after defeating Lord Zir, you will need specific Lair Keys to open the Lord Zir’s Hoard. There is a small chance that a smaller version of Belial will appear after the main boss fight against Lord Zir. Defeating Mini Belial will reward you with Betrayer's Husk, which is required to open Belial’s Hoard in the Palace of the Deceiver. To open Lord Zir’s Hoard after defeating him, you need to collect 12 Exquisite Blood. As Lord Zir is an Initiate Lair Boss, Exquisite Blood can be obtained through various open-world content, including Helltide Events, World Bosses, and Nightmare Dungeons.

Method 2: Nightmare Dungeons

Nightmare Dungeons are a great option for farming Sanctis of Kethamar due to their high mob density and unique loot chest rewards. Unique items can drop from any enemy or chest in these dungeons. Completing a Nightmare Dungeon also grants you a loot chest with a slightly higher chance of dropping uniques. You don’t need any special items to run Nightmare Dungeons—just select a dungeon with a high mob count and repeat runs to farm for the amulet.

Method 3: World Events and Helltide Chests

World events (like Gathering Legions) and World Bosses have a higher unique drop rate than random open-world enemies. Helltide Events are the best of these, as they spawn every hour and feature chests that drop uniques. During Helltides, collect Aberrant Cinders to open two key chests: Tortured Gift of Jewelry (costs 125 Cinders, amulet-focused) and Tortured Gift of Mystery (costs 250 Cinders, high random unique chance). The Tortured Gift of Jewelry is the best choice for targeting Sanctis of Kethamar, even though its drop rate is low.

Method 4: Gamble at the Purveyor of Curiosity

If you’re feeling lucky, you can gamble for Sanctis of Kethamar at the Purveyor of Curiosity. This vendor lets you spend Murmuring Obols (earned from random activities and map exploration) to purchase gear. To target amulets, spend 100 Murmuring Obols per gamble. However, this method is extremely unreliable because the loot ranges from Magic to Mythic Unique items—there’s no guarantee you’ll get the amulet you want.

Best Builds for Sanctis of Kethamar in D4

Sanctis of Kethamar’s unique effects (30% Aura Potency + 200–400% Wing Strike damage in Arbiter form) make it perfect for two core Paladin builds: Arbiter of Justice (Pure Ultimate Damage) and Wing Strikes (Auto-Bomber). Both builds rely on maintaining Arbiter form to maximize the amulet’s bonuses, with the Disciple Oath as a mandatory choice (unlocks Wing Strikes and Arbiter form synergy).

1. Wing Strikes Paladin

This is the most popular build for Sanctis of Kethamar, focusing on passive "auto-bomber" gameplay. Wing Strikes (unlocked via Disciple Oath) activates automatically against nearby enemies while in Arbiter form, and Sanctis of Kethamar’s 200–400% Wing Strike damage boost turns it into an obscene AoE damage tool. The build is highly mobile (thanks to Arbiter form’s Seraph’s Wings upgrade) and excels at speed farming, dungeon pushing, and bossing. It’s ideal for players who prefer low-apm (actions per minute) gameplay.

Key Skills

  • Arbiter of Justice (Ultimate): Core skill to enter Arbiter form. Upgraded with Seraph’s Wings for max movement speed and Vulnerable application.

  • Falling Star (Disciple): Mobility tool and stack builder for Aspect of Ascension. Resets cooldown when killing Vulnerable enemies, allowing constant use.

  • Fanaticism Aura: Passive Critical Strike/Attack Speed stacker; manual cast applies Weaken. Fuels damage via Rite of Vengeance (Critical Strikes generate Faith).

  • Defiance Aura: Boosts Armor, All Resistances, and Maximum Life. Pair with Enhanced Clash for 10% multiplicative damage via Resolve gain.

  • Consecration: Use on Elites/Bosses for 15% damage boost, passive healing, and Weaken (activates Break the Line).

  • Clash: Generates Resolve (damage reduction), boosts Block Chance, and pulls enemies every 3rd hit. Replace with Shield Bash if using Ring of Starless Skies (needs Faith spender).

Gear Setup

  • Amulet: Sanctis of Kethamar is the mandatory amulet—its Wing Strike damage boost is non-negotiable.

  • Helm: Heir of Perdition (Mythic) – Caps Critical Strike Chance and grants 60% damage multiplier.

  • Chest: Shroud of False Death (Mythic) – +1 to all Passive Skills (60%+ damage increase) and massive Strength/Armor boosts.

  • Gloves: Aspect of Tyrael’s Jurisdiction – Increases Wing Strikes range and lets them seek enemies (critical for AoE clear).

  • Boots: Aspect of the Arbiter’s Zephyr – Extends Arbiter form duration (aim for 100% uptime).

  • Weapons: Mainhand – Lagera’s Sovereignty (Vulnerable Damage + Chance for Arbiter Double Damage); Offhand – Aspect of Holy Punishment (Holy damage boost).

  • Rings: Aspect of Celestial Strife + Aspect of Ascension – Both boost Wing Strike damage; Ascension stacks with Falling Star for extra damage.

Stat Priorities

100% Block Chance → 100% Critical Strike Chance → 3,000+ Strength → 7,000+ Life → 70,000+ Armor (town) → Arbiter Duration (100% uptime).

2. Arbiter of Justice Paladin

This build focuses on maximizing damage from Arbiter of Justice (the Paladin’s Ultimate) rather than Wing Strikes. Sanctis of Kethamar’s 30% Aura Potency boost enhances support auras (Fanaticism/Defiance/Holy Light), while its raw stats (+98 All Stats, +685 Life) improve survivability. It’s a great choice for players who prefer bursty Ultimate-focused gameplay and excel at boss killing/dungeon pushing (cleared Pit 111 with this setup).

Key Skills

  • Arbiter of Justice (Ultimate): Core damage source. Activate for Fury Generation, Attack Speed, and increased damage.

  • Falling Star (Disciple): Stack Aspect of Ascension (10 stacks = max damage); use for mobility.

  • Holy Light Aura: Added support aura (boosts healing/damage) enhanced by Sanctis of Kethamar’s Aura Potency.

  • Fanaticism Aura + Defiance Aura: Same as Wing Strikes build—offensive/defensive buffs.

  • Aegis: Defensive skill for extra survivability (blocks damage and grants invulnerability briefly).

Gear Setup

  • Amulet: Sanctis of Kethamar

  • Helm: Aspect of Disobedience (Armor stacking).

  • Chest: Aspect of Hale’s Salve (healing and damage reduction).

  • Gloves: Aspect of Tyrael’s Jurisdiction (Arbiter form synergy).

  • Pants: Aspect of Glynn’s Anvil (damage boost).

  • Boots: Aspect of Swift Spirit (mobility).

  • Weapons: Aspect of Holy Punishment (mainhand) + Aspect of the Indomitable (offhand, defense).

  • Uniques: Griswold’s Opus (damage boost vs. monsters, double damage chance); Herald of Zakarum (massive Armor boost).

  • Consumables: Elixir of Iron Barbs, Ancient Times (core incense), Song of the Mountain (defensive incense), Soothing Spices (resistance).

For Mythic tier, craft Shroud of False Death first (+1 to all Passives) and add Heir of Perdition (Critical Strike/Critical Damage). Sanctify gear for The Grandfather (jackpot damage boost) or Nesekem, the Herald (Overpower damage for Bosses).
