10/26/2023 7:41:47 PM

Today we're going to be going over the top 10 Faith scaling weapons (builds) in Elden Ring, this will highlight a lot of the ashes of war and focus on weapons that do well with investing in your faith stat.

Top 10 Elden Ring Best Faith Weapons & Builds 2023 (1.10)

In Elden Ring, when looking for a weapon for faith build, we look for the weapons that scale well with faith and/or have inherent holy damage, and also with a Faith scaling rating of C or higher. So here are the Top 10 Weapons for Faith Build based on these factors. There are categories below of the ones you can try together without needing to Respec, we tried to keep some stats and Talisman similar so that you can get great damage and try out multiple builds from this guide.

10. Sacred Relic Sword Build

This is a faith and dexterity weapon, the Ash of War: Waves of Gold will pull from your faith stat and is pure holy damage. It is great against death birds and fantastic for Mob control, this is one you will certainly be using if you're farming levels at Mogan's Palace. This is probably one of the most used Ashes of War and Elden Ring and weapons for farming you'll ever see. It's quite good for bosses too but keep in mind that Holy becomes harder to use after the Fire Giant. Now we're going to get into equipment for this Sacred Relic Sword build which will do a lot of holy damage.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Sacred Relic Sword+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Dragon Communion Seal+10

  • Armor: Night's Cavalry Set

  • Talismans: Ritual Sword Talisman, Sacred Scorpion Charm, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Faith-Knot Crystal Tear

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 23 Mind, 26 Endurance, 18 Strength, 24 Dexterity, 7 Intelligence, 70 Faith, 11 Arcane

9. Golden Order Greatsword

Golden Order Greatsword makes a step above the Sacred Relic Sword as both have similar setups, if you're looking to invest in faith primarily this is another one that's Ash of War will scale much all with faith. The Ash of War: Establish Order scales only with faith as we mentioned so pump up your faith for maximum damage to take advantage of, this is one of the coolest looking Ashes of War on a weapon you'll ever see. Establish Order has the contact explosion and follow-up beam of which the entire animation is great looking while also being really fun to pull off. Definitely give the Order Geatsword, if you're looking for a holy damaging weapon.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Golden Order Geatsword+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Dragon Communion Seal+10

  • Armor: Night's Cavalry Set

  • Talismans: Ritual Sword Talisman, Sacred Scorpion Charm, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Faith-Knot Crystal Tear

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 23 Mind, 26 Endurance, 18 Strength, 24 Dexterity, 7 Intelligence, 70 Faith, 11 Arcane

8. Black Knife

Black Knife gets the spotlight at number 8, it isn't the best up-and-close weapon as it's outclassed by many daggers especially when factoring in bleed builds. However the Ash Of War: Blade of Death does pure holy damage with percentage damage and scales directly with your faith stat, this is a direct upgrade over the Blade of Calling due to the percentage damage and how powerful it can be against larger targets and they generally lose more HP from percentage damage. This is a great faith sidearm needing minimal dexterity investment if you're primarily using the Ash of War, which is the unique Ash Of War Blade of Death and as mentioned scales directly with your faith level. Try this one out if you're looking for a good sidearm as a Faith Build for sure as it's lightweight and worth having as basic basically a pocket missile.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Black Knife+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Dragon Communion Seal+10

  • Armor: Banished Knight Helm, Night's Cavalry Armor, Maliketh's Gauntlets, Scaled Greaves

  • Talismans: Ritual Sword Talisman, Sacred Scorpion Charm, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Faith-Knot Crystal Tear

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 23 Mind, 26 Endurance, 22 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 7 Intelligence, 75 Faith, 11 Arcane

7. Ordovis' Greatsword

This is a powerful strength and faith option, this weapon gets an A in strength scaling as the Ash of War: Ordovis' Vortex scales mainly with strength and weapon AR. This is definitely a secondary faith weapon, however, you still get a fairly good amount out of your faith stat, and the ash of war does massive Poise damage and is chargeable too. Pick this one up if you want to go through Elden Ring as a powerful Crucible Knight centering your build around strength and faith. We optimize the stats to hit 60 strength while two-handing with 40 faith and its AR is impressive. We also thought it would be fun to take on a Crucible Knight with this build to go Crucible Knight vers Crucible Knight. Definitely, Ordovis' Greatsword is significantly great given the amount of posture damage as well as hard hits, when it's fully charged it is a very good strength and faith weapon. Another one that's really enjoyable to pull off too we recommend trying out this weapon for sure if you're looking for a strength and Faith build, this is definitely no slouch, especially for the early and mid-game bosses it will lose a little traction towards the end game though given the fact that Holy is so resisted.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Ordovis' Greatsword+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Erdtree Seal+10

  • Armor: Crucible Set

  • Talismans:  Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Sacred Scorpion Charm, Codfrey Icon, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Faith-Knot Crystal Tear, Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 21 Mind, 30 Endurance, 40 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 9 Intelligence, 40 Faith, 14 Arcane

6. Marika's Hammer

Marika's Hammer is another Strength and Faith weapon with impressive posture damage, once again highlighting the most powerful aspect of the hammer - The Ash of War: Gold Breaker. This ash of war will scale with strength and faith much like the weapons AR, two handing regular Hammer attacks by the way also do good Poise damage, so you can mix that in with the ash of war. That being said, it's one of the easiest ones to spam in the game with great hyper armor solid Poise damage, now an even quicker recovery time. This one's definitely worth a try if you haven't tried marus hammer yet.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Marika's Hammer+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Erdtree Seal+10

  • Armor: Crucible Set

  • Talismans:  Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Sacred Scorpion Charm, Ritual Sword Talisman, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Faith-Knot Crystal Tear, Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 21 Mind, 30 Endurance, 40 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 9 Intelligence, 40 Faith, 14 Arcane

5. Sword of Night and Flame

We highlight the faith portion of Sword of Night and Flame. The unique Ash of War: Night-and-Flame Stance has the comet beam and the fire, the first scales with intelligence and the latter with faith. The beam is way better at doing more damage and being easier to use in battle that being said the fire damage is good for bosses weak to Fire and also great against mobs too. It definitely has a long windup time so be aware of that but when you use it for mobs or bosses that are weak to fire you can get massive damage from the faith portion on the Sword of Night and Flame.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Sword of Night and Flame+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Erdtree Seal+10

  • Armor: Skeletal Mask, Scaled Armor, Scaled Gauntlets, Scaled Greaves

  • Talismans:  Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Fire Scorpion Charm, Ritual Sword Talisman, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 21 Mind, 26 Endurance, 13 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 40 Intelligence, 40 Faith, 14 Arcane

4. Envoy's Long Horn

Envoy's Long Horn has the beast of an Ash of War - Bubble shower, this scales only with faith and is incredibly destructive against big bosses. This weapon is also incredibly fun to use and does stance damage somehow with bubbles. And if you haven't tried this weapon yet as a faith build, we cannot recommend it enough. This is absolutely a must-try for Faith builds for the amount of fun, you'll have with this weapon and for how ridiculously powerful bubbles can be in Elden Ring if you're ever having a hard time with this boss or any of the big dragons you can absolutely shred them with the Envoy's Longhorn. Seriously this one's quite good and as you probably already know what number one on this list is going to be you can use both of those two together because they pretty much have the same identical scaling on the Ashes of War so the bubble shower is something you can definitely add to your Arsenal for those larger targets, theEnvoy's Long Horn is no slouch.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Envoy's Long Horn+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Dragon Communion Seal+10

  • Armor: Envoy Crown, Night's Cavalry Armor, Maliketh's Ganutlets, Scaled Greaves

  • Talismans: Ritual Sword Talisman, Sacred Scorpion Charm, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Faith-Knot Crystal Tear

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 23 Mind, 26 Endurance, 22 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 7 Intelligence, 75 Faith, 11 Arcane

3. Magama Blades

The Magama Blades have two great parts - awesome fire damage from jump attacks and the Ash of War Magma Shower which scales with strength and faith basically weapon AR more or less. This is a powerful strength and faith weapon and we built around the ash of war and jump attacks so you can work with both. Keep in mind these are incredibly hard to farm for having a 1% drop rate in Volcano Manor from the enemies that wield, but they are well worth it to farm.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Magama Blade+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Dragon Communion Seal+10, Magama Blade+10

  • Armor: Jar, Raptor's Black Feathers, Scaled Gauntlets, Radahn's Greaves

  • Talismans: Claw Talisman, Fire Scorpion Charm, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Faith-Knot Crystal Tear, Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 21 Mind, 30 Endurance, 40 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 9 Intelligence, 50 Faith, 14 Arcane

2. Godslayer's Greatsword

The Ash of the War of the Godslayer's Greatsword - the Queen's Black Flame scales mainly with weapon AR which is Dexterity and Faith. One issue with the ash is it has a poor Dodge window out of the final animation, we wouldn't go on to Elden Beast until the next try because we wanted to highlight the power of the Ash of War. When it hits, it hits like an absolute truck doing fire and percentage damage. However, it can be hard to pull off, after not using this weapon for a while we realized how difficult this one is to use with virtually no Dodge window at the end of it - you really can't Dodge out of the end of it it's frustrating you end up getting hit most of the time, you're basically stuck standing there. That being said though, the power of the ash can't be ignored which is why it stands at number two. As a great sword itself, it has a fast moveset but at the cost of a little less damage than some other great swords in the Rune level 150 range. Still, this weapon is all awesome and super good to pull off being an absolute nuke on the Ash of War doing upwards of 3 5,000 damage. It's one of the coolest-looking ashes in the game, it has a lot of Firepower quite literally the percentage damage is a huge plus, and when you're able to pull this off much like black flame tornado, it does massive damage all in all does do a little posture damage too.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Godslayer's Greatsword+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Godslayer's Seal+10

  • Armor: Night's Cavalry Helm, Blackflame Monk Armor, Night's Cavalry Ganuntlets, Night's Cavalry Greaves

  • Talismans: Ritual Sword Talisman, Fire Scorpion Charm, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Dexterity-Knot Crystal Tear,

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 23 Mind, 27 Endurance, 16 Strength, 40 Dexterity, 7 Intelligence, 45 Faith, 11 Arcane

1. Blasphemous Blade

The most obvious and easy weapon to use on this entire list is the blasphemous Blade, its Ash of War - Taker's Flames is one of the most powerful unique ashes of war in the entire game. Forget investing in the strength portion of the weapon, if you want easy mode or if you're stuck on any fire-resistant bosses as all you need is taker's flames, it's so easy. We are surprised this weapon hasn't been nerfed yet. You can literally walk through the game with this weapon, it's truly that easy. There's not much more to be said about the Blasphemous Blade, it's in another realm by itself, it's as close to a perfect weapon in Elden Ring as you'll ever get at least until DLC comes.

Build Equipment & Stats Setup:

  • Right Hand Weapon: Blasphemous Blade+10

  • Left Hand Weapon: Dragon Communion Seal+10

  • Armor: Night's Cavalry Set

  • Talismans: Ritual Sword Talisman, Fire Scorpion Charm, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Shard of Alexander

  • Flasks of Wondrous Physick: Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear, Faith-Knot Crystal Tear,

  • Stats (Level 150): 60 Vigor, 23 Mind, 26 Endurance, 22 Strength, 15 Dexterity, 7 Intelligence,  75 Faith, 11 Arcane
