In WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7, a new event called Dreamsurgers will help you gear up your alts fast. With this guide, we go over all the information you need to know about the Dreamsurgers event, including the quests, objectives, gear, and rewards.
WoW Dragonflight 10.1.7 Dreamsurgers Event Guide
Dreamsurgers is a new weekly activity that will take place in one of the Dragonfly zones for the whole week, this new week of activity involves some daily content we've all become familiar with but with some valuable rewards that will be worth grinding for.
How does the Dreamsurgers Event Work in Dragonflight?
Each week an area of the Dragon Islands is affected by the Dream Leap. This could be the Coast of Awakening, the Plains of Ohn'ahra, Thaldraszus, or the Azure Mountains.
A huge Guardian Portal will open every half hour in this area. A nice addition: As long as this is active, there is a 25% buff to gain more experience.
So that you know where you have to go and how the whole thing will work, you can pick up the quest Unsteady Dreams from Hamuul Runetotem in Valdrakken. Of course, you can also simply take the plunge into the land of dreams without this little quest.
Like all events, this one is designed for groups. Together with other players, you have to defeat Druids of the Flame, destroy altars, and secure reinforcements from the air.
Once these pillars of the event are dealt with, a Lieutenant of the Flame will appear and must be fought. Charred Elemental Remains are available as loot.
During the dream jump you will also find smaller portals that you can defeat in small groups or solo.
During the event, all players who participate are allowed to take part in voting. Through this voting, the dream jump is shaped by the players. This is how the event becomes a different experience. Depending on what is voted for, there are different buffs to pick up.
Dreamsurgers Event Quests & Objectives
Here are the main activities you'll be doing for this new event:
World quests
There will be extra World quests in that zone that are just like other world quests we've had in the Dragon Isles but count toward the event. If you head over to the event location, you can see what specific World quests are for the Dreamsurges.
New Special Rares
There are also going to be special rares who will be empowered by The Dreamsurge and will have a chance to drop extra loot which we'll get into in just a second. These special rares are super fun to fight, we found it incredibly fun to do solo content for the week on multiple different characters.
Invasions
Somewhere throughout the Zone, there's going to be what's called a waking dream portal where you will need to defend the area from the Druids of the Flame. Just like an invasion portal where you'll have to have different stages of things to complete like defeating enemies and flying through these Flame Hawks. And at the end, you're going to have like a final boss that's going to be a Flame Lieutenant.
New Fun Buffs
There are some cool Buffs we can get during the event - every 30 minutes every player in the zone will have a chance to vote on two different types of Buffs. There are a few different ones, anything from doing more nature damage increasing your movement speed, buffing your damage, or one that will summon a heart bloom that will heal players or yourself. These buffs will make doing these events much more aging for players and will help with leveling.
Speaking about leveling, whatever Zone on the Dragon Isles that has the dreamsurge will get a buff called Dreaming Winds, which will buff experience gain in that Zone by 25% which would be great for leveling alts, or if you're new to the game your first level 72.
Dreamsurgers Event Rewards (Currency, Gear, Mounts, Pets, Toy)
There are a lot of rewards involved in the event, Follow us to take a preview now:
By doing the quests and activities such as killing Empowered Rare Elites during the event, you will be rewarded Dreamsurge Coalescence, This is the main currency that you can use to purchase gear, pets, mounts, toys and other items during these events.
Rewards Can be Purchased with Dreamsurge Coalescence:
The gear you can buy from Celestine of the Harvest with this currency is Account Wide, and drops at 402 item level that can also be turned into tier and upgraded to Veteran 1/8 gear. You'll be able to do this event on your main to complete the content faster, purchase the gear and then send it to your alts. So it seems like Blizzard is learning from their past mistakes.

There'll also be a weekly Quest called Shaping the Dreamsurge that will reward with Dreamsurge Chrysalis. It's also account-wide, so you can also send that to other tunes. You can also buy a full item level 415 Champion piece of gear that you can turn into a tier piece at the Revival Catalyst.

So during the event, the most important item you want to collect is actually the Dreamsurge Coalescence currency as it is needed to buy catchup gear for your alts, mounts, and pets. How to collect Dreamsurge Coalescence as much as possible and as soon as possible, here we share with you the main ways including the most effective one to farm Dreamsurge coalescence:
1. Normal Ways - Dreamsurge Events
When it comes to farm Dreamsurge coalescence, you have major event, minor event, and rares, that actually drops 25 each:
The major Dreamsurge events are up two times per hour;
The minor Dreamsurge events turn out to like small portals scattered all over the place and it's going to be harder when more people will be in in the game when those portals are up;
The rare Dreamsurge events you can do only once per day so of course you can do those as well going for all the rares is really really good for the Dreamsurge coalescence.
2. Most Effective Way - Green Clouds
There's one more way to get Dreamsurge Coalescence that is Green Clouds:
If you find green clouds in the Dreamsurge Event Zone, it will give you between 1 to 5 Dreamsurge coalescence from one loot, those also have a chance to give you Whelplink's Shadowflame Crest. Those Green Clouds can respawn in 5 mins and by looting them you can get around 240 Dreamsurge Coalecence per hour, so we can say you won't find any better way than that when it comes to farming.
How To Farm the Green Clouds more effectively? You have to look for the Arch trellis, so under the bridges, mountains, and structures that's where you're going to find those Green Clouds. You need to find a good route where you can fly around and then also be able to come back where you started within 5 minutes because that's how long time it takes for them to respawn.
