6/9/2023 10:15:46 AM

Diablo 4 has just launched, are you having a lot of fun blasting the game? Diablo 4 patch 1.0.2d nerfed a lot of top builds. Today, we got you a Diablo 4 post nerf tier list, so you know the best D4 launch classes and builds. This D4 1.0.2d launch tier list is based on their performance on leveling, speed, endgame, groups, and casual.

Diablo 4 Post Nerf Best Class & Build - D4 Global Launch Tier List 1.0.2d

If you did not hear, Blizzard has had a lot of nerfs to a lot of the top builds, they have nerfed the Whirlwind Barb about 16.5 times, they have nerfed the Pulverized Druid pretty badly and they also try to nerf the Twisting Blade Throw. If you wonder how exactly does this all shape up into Diablo 4 global launch tier list patch 1.0.2d and what exactly is still the top best class in Diablo 4, so we'd like to take you through how everything has moved around according to the D4 post nerf tier list Maxroll.

No.5 - Necromancer (Necro)

Leveling: 3

Speed: 5

Endgame: 3

Groups: 4

Casual: 2

Overall: 5

Necromancer is exactly where they belong on this Diablo IV post nerf tier list. Necromancers are just the worst. They are good at leveling, Bone Spear just crushes the leveling experience, one of the easiest ways to move up. They did buff the skellies for summoning which got a little bit better just, still don't think it's quite enough. In the end game, they suffer. Bone Spirit is good but Bone Spirit is just too slow. This game really rewards speed. Necromancers can do a lot of damage but it requires all these setups. Necromancer at the bottom is where they belong.

No.4 - Rogue

Leveling: 1

Speed: 1

Endgame: 5

Groups: 5

Casual: 4

Overall: 4

Most people really underestimated Rogues. Rogues do even more damage than we thought they were going to do. The Twisting Blade Rogue even after the nerf has got to be one of the best launch builds in Diablo 4 patch 1.0.2d. It's so powerful at everything and inner sight is so good on bosses. It can maintain almost the same damage on bosses that other classes fall off tremendously. Once you spend your mana a few times like on the Ice Shard Sorcerer where you spend it and then your left single target a build that you thought would be a godly single target actually ends up being garbage if they live longer than five seconds. It's the same problem With whirlwinds. The Twisting Bladestroke might be the Diablo IV best build after the nerfs. The crowd control is insane in the end game, the ability to get chain cc'd is devastating. Rogue is very good at doing its damage and moving away. Moving away is actually tremendous survivability than trying to sit there and face-tank it. Another thing about them is they're twisting blades thing is really carrying. So again they nerfed it once, it wasn't that bad.

No.3 - Sorcerer/Sorceress (Sorc)

Leveling: 2

Speed: 3

Endgame: 4

Groups: 3

Casual: 1

Overall: 3

Across the board their builds are balanced. It's a balanced class, the thing is whether you're doing firewall or you're doing ice shards, it's about the same thing. But there is no way as you get to the end end game that a Sorcerer is as good as a Rogue or a Druid or a Barb. It's just not even after the nerfs. Sorcerer is just not there. When Sorcerers get to 90+, it starts to really fall off. It's in the very very end game where it starts to fall off.

No.2 - Druid

Leveling: 4

Speed: 4

Endgame: 2

Groups: 2

Casual: 5

Overall: 2

Druids are super good, one of the best Diablo 4 classes for launch. They nerfed pulverize but pulverize is still incredible and the stormwolf is really good as well, really nice build. Everything we thought about Druids was incredible, they took a colossal nerf still really really nice. They belong toward the top on the Diablo 4 post nerf rankings.

No.1 - Barbarian (Barb)

Leveling: 5

Speed: 2

Endgame: 1

Groups: 1

Casual: 3

Overall: 1

Without a doubt, when the game launched, Barbarians were the best D4 Post Nerf class, it wasn't even close. Whirlwind Barbarian just shreds everything in the game. We got so many colossal nerfs but they're it's still really good. They nerfed the best unique gores, they removed one of the best stats that Barbarians can roll on gear shout cooldown reduction, then they took our best legendary power bold chieftains and then they nerfed it by 50%.

Theory crafting here is as you approach a perfectly geared Barb, you can close at least 90% to 95% and keep up your shouts. When you're rallying cries down or your Wrath of Berserker is down and you don't have unstoppable, one cc chain can end your Barbarian, no matter how well it's geared. It's hard to say if it's better than Twisting Blades Rogue, since Twisting Blades Rogue is certainly better at single target and more mobile, but Barbs are really mobile too with their shouts. Perfectly geared bar versus perfectly geared Rogue now is closed. But again barbarians have the same problem if you nerf Whirlwind the second option is way behind if they Nerf it again.
