Leveling up in Diablo 4 is an essential part of the game. As you progress through the game, you will encounter more challenging enemies that will require you to have a well-rounded character. In this article, we are going to talk about each class/build and how it was to level after the Diablo IV Server Slam, we rank them based on their effectiveness and ease of leveling during the early stages of the game.

Diablo 4 Leveling Tier List - What Classes are Easiest to Level in Diablo IV

When it comes to leveling in Diablo IV, some classes are better suited for fast and efficient leveling than others. Then what is the best class to level and what class should we main in D4 start? Based on the available information and gameplay footage, here is a speculative Diablo 4 leveling build tier list.

Note: Diablo 4 is still in development, and the class balance and leveling experience are subject to change.

- S Tier: Druid, Sorcerer

- A Tier: Barbarian

- B Tier: Rogue, Necromancer

Barbarian (A-Tier)

Known for their high damage output and tankiness. In the game, it’s not bad to level, but it is the worst leveler, it's super squishy. People tried a couple different builds, they tried Thorns and they tried Rend and kiting with Rend turned out to be more effective than the Thorns build, it's really hard to take a lot of hits. With their powerful melee attacks and ability to generate fury, they can quickly dispatch enemies and survive in the midst of combat.

Druid (S-Tier)

One of the most popular Druid builds is the lightning storm build, you don't have to continually channel it to get it to keep going, you can generate in between casts and keep the buff going to make the storm bigger and deal more damage which felt really smooth, really good. And as far as killing bosses and killing a bunch of trash and stuff, the only thing we’ll have problems with on the Druid is if we try to play more carefully, we die more. With the Druid, the more aggressive you are, the higher chance of staying alive you have, which seems counterintuitive, but it is really good. Playing the Druid felt really smooth, we won’t have any issues with leveling up at all, we won’t have any issues with the progression of the skills. The lightning storm skill is a lot of fun, it clears trash and stuff really well, it kills bosses decently effectively. Druid is definitely the best leveling class in Diablo 4 Sever Slam Beta.

Rogue (B-Tier)

With the Rogue in this game, it is a little squishy, but the damage is obscene and it kills single target really well, making them a good choice for leveling. With a focus on ranged attacks and traps, they can take down enemies from a safe distance and avoid getting hit themselves. The build that we put together for Rogue was really single target oriented and mobility oriented, so we would delete the elites and stuff and then kite our way around killing the trash in the meantime. So it was a lot of fun and they scale really hard with the weapons, and then the imbuements of are really cool. There's just a lot of cool things to do with the Rogue.

Sorceress (S-Tier)

For the Sorc, we tried lightning build where you just use chain lighting and hydras which was amazing. Sorceress is going to be the most popular class in the game, and it’s going to be the easiest class for leveling in Diablo 4, mostly because of the amount of damage and ease of kiting. Their mobility, crowd control, and AOE damage make them a great choice for quickly moving through areas and taking out large groups of enemies. The Teleport skill allows the Sorcerer to quickly move around the map, while skills like Chain Lightning and Blizzard provide strong AOE damage. The Sorcerer also has access to powerful crowd control abilities like Slow Time and Black Hole, making them a versatile and powerful choice for leveling in D4.

Necromancer (B-Tier)

While the Necromancer has access to a lot of powerful spells, he can be a bit slow when it comes to clearing out enemies. He also has limited mobility, which can make moving through the game a bit of a chore. As long as you're paying attention and you keep summoning your skeletons and you keep the buff up and like once you get corpse explosion and stuff, you literally just delete everything, it is an obscene way to play the game and you go through and you can just delete stuff. Players like to play Summoner build because they're a lot of fun.

In conclusion, the Sorcerer is the best choice for leveling in Diablo 4, with the Druid and Barbarian following closely behind. The Rogue and Necromancer are decent choices, but require a bit more effort to be effective.
