WoW 10.1 Tank Tier List - Best Tank Specs Ranked in Dragonflight Season 2

4/12/2023 5:46:21 PM

With less than one month to the start of World of Warcraft Dragonflight Season 2 & Patch 10.1, which tank spec should you play? Now let’s get into a WoW 10.1 tank tier list with the best tanks ranked.

WoW 10.1 Tank Tier List - Best Tank Specs Ranked in Dragonflight Season 2

To be clear, this is a WoW Dragonflight 10.1 tank tier list by Blas0n based on the Race to World First predictions.

Protection Paladin - S Tier

Protection Paladin is a good tank spec that can support your allies and self-heal damage. You can be immune every minute and 45 seconds, if you are spamming up holy power, you can literally immune tank mechanics, and you can double freedom. They bring a new raid buff called Retribution Aura, which is pretty much a 90 active proc time, on top of the rate which gives you a five percent damage and healing buff, and it's pretty much up 100 of the time, essentially it is very strong. What Prot Paladin has always been known for is cheesing mechanics with what spell warning, certain tank kits for moving tank debuffs when you are immune, and with them able to get that immune off on CDR and then also bring spell warning. Prot Paladin will be played in some bosses, possibly every single boss coming into WoW 10.1, so for that reason, it can be put in the S tier for the Race to World First.

Protection Warrior - A Tier

The tier set changes to Protection Warrior is that your shield slam is buffed, it deals 15% increased damage and reduces the cooldown of Last Stand by 0.5 seconds. And for 10 seconds after Last Stand ends, it unleashes a wave of force dealing damage to enemies in front of you and reduces the damage they deal to you by 5% for 5 seconds. Pretty much every time you shoot slamming, your Last Stand is getting off cooldown, and then while your last stand is on cooldown, your shield slam is blasting an AOE wave and giving it the boss pretty much five percent less hit to you. Protection Warrior is still a very strong tank going into Patch 10.1, it is going to be put in the A tier, and we will see it on some bosses, some players want to maybe set out a Warrior to bring into the ranged DPS. having a third rally is very strong for every single mechanic, it's just a very powerful rate cooldown that the warrior brings that other tanks don't have the opportunity to bring such a strong raid cooldown.

Blood Death Knight - S Tier

The next biggest tank that is surely going to be played is Blood Death Knight, its tier set bonuses are very strong, your Heart Strike and your Blood Boil deals 20% increased damage and you get a 10% chance to grant Vampiric Blood, when you gain it, you're pretty much-getting strength and then it extends the duration of it. There is less than a month until the release of Dragonflight Season 2, Blizzard would not make any changes to Blood DK regarding talents, just the way the tier set works. Having a Blood DK substantially makes the fight easier, you not even having to deal with the soak tank, it is just gone from the game completely, it's not a mechanic that you have to stress about with having a Blood DK, it is going to be in S tier.

Brewmaster Monk - D Tier

Do you want to run a Windwalker or Mistweaver, if it's no, then you run Brewmaster, but if Mistweaver or Windwalker is good, then you don't run Brewmaster. We have three of these other tank options that are very strong, with the way Windwalker's looking and the Windwalker is kind of looking, we are gonna be putting Brewmaster in the D tier.

Guardian Druid - D Tier

The next spec is Guardian Druid, they just did some tuning to Guardian Druid, it is a D-tier tank. Guardian Druids are not going to be the first choice as a tank, it lacks mobility and single-target damage compared to other classes.
